Hi this is Tutor Nick P and this is Lesson 305. All right. The title of today's lesson is inferior or superior to, not than. Yeah. So
sometimes students, especially students of ESL might do this. They might say you
know , somebody or something is superior than something, when they should say
something is superior to something or same thing with inferior. They might say
somebody or something is inferior than something else rather than to something
else. So let's take a look at some examples here. The first one, of course with
the X, this is wrong. His skill is superior than Bob's skill. No. You have to
say his skill is superior to Bob's skill basically. All right. And let's look at
the second one here again. With the X, this is wrong. Chauvinists believe men
are superior than women. No. I remember they always used to say like a male
chauvinist pig or they say chauvinist for short. Chauvinist believe men are
superior to women. Okay, okay or number three. The last one here. The quality of
this furniture is inferior than the last one I bought. Okay. The quality of this
furniture is superior to the last one I bought. Anyway, I hope it's clear. I hope
you got it. Thank you for your time. Bye- bye.
