Here in the darkroom

area we have two black-and-white darkrooms and one colour darkroom. We use the

facilities to experiment mostly but also for final work for projects, anything, but

I like to think that it's a lot for experimentation and to improve your

knowledge and your skills in photography. You start from the foundation of

photography from the analog perspective, so we have the processing area which you

can come and process your film, black and white and colour, then you come in print in

the darkroom area, if you want if you want to try black and white printing, or

if you want to try colour printing. LCC is unique because we have a team of

technicians that are specialised only for the photography students and they help

you out with your work, if you're struggling, if you're not sure how to use

equipment, if you're not sure how to use the darkroom for example, they will be

there to help you out and make sure that you know exactly what

you're doing and they also run the workshops across the photography

department in LCC.
