He's one of the lucky few who's built a career out of his passion. But, for Sergio Garcia, it comes with the added stress of doing it all in the public eye. So what does that level of success mean to him? I met with Garcia at the Singapore Open to find out. Obviously winning is important, but it's not the main thing. I've always been very proud of my career because of the consistency I had. I think the most important thing is to be able to maintain it. And that's where your motivation comes into play; to make sure that you stay motivated, you keep working hard, and you try to be as consistent as possible. You lose more than you win, even if you're a great player. At the end of the day, it's just, you love the game, you love what you do, and it motivates you to keep practicing hard, keep working hard and, that's all you can do. There's two very important things to do. Obviously, you have to work hard at it to make sure that you're the best that you can be. But, also, you have to enjoy what you do. If you enjoy what you do it's much easier to do it at a high level, it's much easier to practice to try to get better at it. Those two things are important if you want to try to be successful.
