One of the big issues is the importance of defending the democratic system that we have,

and the rights - the civil rights of others that we value so highly.

If extreme inequality manages to drive wages down, manages to depress employment and so

on there's a very serious threat to the future functioning of the democratic system.

So this is not just about economics, it's about shoring out the viability of the political system as well.
