This IELTS example answer is about friends. Is it important to have friends

from other countries? I'd say definitely yes. Simply because it gives you so many

opportunities to learn. Having an outsider's perspective on your own

country can make you more tolerant of different points of view. It can help you

understand that there are different sets of values all over the world and every

country is unique. You'd also get the chance to learn something about their

culture as well, you could learn about their customs, their language, and their

attitudes and their values. All of these things together can make you more

open-minded and more tolerant of different nations and I think that's

really important to realize, especially at a young age - that you're not the only

country on the planet and the way your culture does things isn't always the

best way either. So I think that's a good way to fight intolerance and help people
