Today we'll look at how “get back to someone”

“Get back to someone” means you will reply later

「get back to someone」的意思是指你會晚一點回覆對方的問題

This is useful when you cannot respond straightaway

像是你剛好在忙無法即時回覆

Such as when you're busy or asked a difficult question

或是被問到比較難解釋的問題或情況時，這個句子特別好用

For example, imagine a customer requests a big discount

假設客戶要求打很大的折扣

You could say:

這時你可以說：

“Let me check with my boss and I'll get back to you about that”

我先與主管商量，晚點將再針對這件事情回覆您

Notice the pattern “get back to someone about something”

請注意這個片語的結構是「get back to someone about something」

This phrase works in writing as well

這個片語當然也適用於書信上

For instance, let's say your colleague messages you:

例如你的同事傳了以下訊息給你：

A: “Our supervisor is asking for an update”

A：我們主管需要這件案子的進度

You could reply:

你可以回覆：

B: “No problem. I'll get back to her later today.”

B：沒問題，我晚點會再回覆給她

Notice how the time is added after the phrase

請注意：如果想特別強調會何時回覆，請記得把時間副詞放在片語的後面喔！
