I feel like I'm gunna fall asleep. 我也是,我好累,我覺得我要睡著了 Gonna? What? 蛤?什麼? (chatting) (聊天) It takes time and practice to be able to understand and speak English like a native speaker. 想要有英語母語人士的聽說能力需要花時間練習 But there are some simple techniques that you can use to make your pronunciation sound more natural! 可是有一些簡單的技巧可以讓你的口說聽起來更自然喔! Let me teach you three tricks that you can start using today to sound more like a native speaker! 今天讓我教你三個技巧讓你的口說更像母語人士! Contractions 縮讀字 The first trick is to use contractions. 第一個技巧是使用縮讀字 Let's look at a few of the most common ones that English speakers use. 我們來看看一些母語人士最常用的縮讀字 The first three examples are: shoulda, woulda, and coulda. 首先,我們先來看 shoulda、woulda 和 coulda The original forms of these phrases are: should have, would have, and could have. 這三個詞原本是 should have、would have 和 could have We can shorten these to: should've, would've and could've. 我們也可以把它們縮寫成 should've、would've 和 could've But to make them even easier to say, we often make the "have" or "ve" sound into an "uh" sound. 但為了更容易發音,我們通常把 have 或 ve 的發音變成 uh So we say: shoulda, woulda, and coulda. 所以我們會說:shoulda、woulda 跟 coulda So, instead of saying: I should have... 所以與其說:I should have... You can say: I shoulda... 你可以說:I shoulda... I shoulda... I shoulda... Um, excuse me? 不好意思吼 Where's my drink? 我的飲料在哪裡? What? Sorry, I shoulda bought you one. 啥鬼?真抱歉吼,應該也買一罐給你的 Instead of saying: I would have... 與其說:I would have... You can say: I woulda... 你可以說:I woulda... I woulda... I woulda... What? I woulda bought one if you had asked. 什麼啦?你如果當初說你也要的話我就會買給你的 Instead of saying: I could have… 與其說:I could have... You can say:I coulda... 你可以說:I coulda... I coulda... I coulda... What? OK. I coulda bought you one anyway! 幹嘛啦?對啦對啦,我確實也可以順便幫你買的 "Shoulda, woulda, coulda" is also a phrase in English. shoulda, woulda, coulda 也是一個片語 We use it to say that there's no need to dwell on what you shoulda, would, or coulda done. 我們可以用它來造句:你不應該糾纏於那些你原本可以做的事 Or to say that someone is making excuses. 這個片語也可以表達「各種藉口」 What? 什麼啦? Shoulda, woulda, coulda! 對、對、對! You can also shorten the negatives of these phrases. 你也可以你也可以縮短這些詞的否定形式 So "should not have" becomes "shouldna." 所以 should not have 就會變成 shouldna "Would not have" becomes "wouldna." would not have 會變成 wouldna And "could not have" becomes "couldna." 然後 could not have 會變成 couldna Shouldna, wouldna, couldna. shouldna, wouldna, couldna. Three more common examples are: gonna, wanna, and gotta. 另外三個常見的例子是:gonna、wanna、和 gotta The original words are: going to, want to, and got to, 它們原本是 going to、want to、和 got to but when we squish these words together, 當我們把這些壓縮在一起的時候 "going to" becomes "gonna," going to 就會變成 gonna "want to" becomes "wanna," want to 會變成 wanna and "got to" becomes "gotta." 然後 got to 會變成 gotta Gonna, wanna, gotta. gotta, wanna, gotta. So, if you wanna sound more natural, 所以如果你想要讓發音聽起來自然一點, instead of saying: I want to... 與其說:I want to.... You can say: I wanna... 你可以說:I wanna... I wanna... I wanna... Hey, we should go see a movie later. 嘿,我們等一下可以一起去看電影 Uhh... But I wanna get dinner with my mom tonight... 呃⋯⋯可是我想和我媽一起吃晚餐耶⋯⋯ Oh, umm... Your mom. 跟你媽啊⋯⋯好喔⋯⋯ Yeah. 嗯,對 Instead of saying: I'm going to… 與其說:I'm going to... You can say: I'm gonna... 你可以說:I'm gonna... I'm gonna... I'm gonna... Sam! You're employee of the month! Sam!你是本月最佳員工耶! What? Really? I'm gonna call my mom and tell her! 什麼?真的嗎?我要打給我媽,讓她知道 Yeah, ma, I got it again! 喂,媽,我又當選了 Yeah, employee of the month! 對呀,本月最佳員工! Ten months in a row. 連續十個月了 I know! 對呀,我真棒! Instead of saying: I've got to… 與其說:I've got to... You can say: I've gotta… 你可以說:I've gotta I've gotta... I've gotta... And we also often leave out the "ve" sound, so we say, "I gotta." 我們也常省略 ve 的發音,所以會直接說 I gotta. I gotta... I gotta... Hey Sam, can I borrow your pen? 欸,Sam,可以借我你的筆嗎? Oh... I gotta ask my mom... 喔⋯⋯等等,我先問我媽⋯⋯ Come on! 什麼啦! I'm telling my mom! 我要跟我媽說! Connected Sounds 連音 The second trick is to connect sounds. 第二個技巧是連音 We connect sounds between different words to make them easier to say. 我們會把不同的字連音,這樣比較好唸 We often do this when one word ends in a consonant sound, 我們常在子音結尾、母音開頭, and the next word begins with that same sound, or a very similar sound. 或是連接的字開頭發音非常相近的地方使用這個技巧 Rather than saying these sounds twice, we blend them together. 與其重複發音,我們會把他們連在一起 For example, rather than saying "black coffee," 例如,與其說 black coffee, and pronouncing the "k" sound twice, 然後重複發 k 的音, we would say "blackoffee," with one "k" sound. 我們會說 blackoffee,只有一個 k 的音 "Blackoffee." "Blackoffee." blackoffee. blackoffee. Similar sounds, like "t" and "d," are also often connected. 相似的音,例如 t 和 d 也經常連在一起 So instead of saying "iced tea," with both the "d" sound and the "t" sound, 所以與其說 iced tea ,保留 d 和 t 的音, we would say "icetea." "Icetea." 我們會說 icetea。Icetea Want anything to drink? 你想喝什麼嗎? Yeah, I'd like some iced tea. 好啊,我要冰茶 Sure. 好的 Actually, I'll have black coffee. 呃,我還是喝黑咖啡好了 We also often connect sounds when one word ends in a consonant and the next begins with a vowel. 我們也會在子音結尾、母音開頭的地方連音 For example, instead of saying "not at all," 例如,與其說 not at all, we say "notatall." 我們會說 notatall We don't pronounce every syllable, we blend the sounds together. 我們不會每個音節都分得很清楚,會連音 "Notatall." "Notatall." notatall. notatall. Sorry about that. 不好意思吼 Not at all. 沒關係 Omitted Syllables 省略音節 The third trick is to omit certain syllables within words. 第三個技巧是省略字中的特定音節 We often leave out the "uh" sound when it's unstressed in a word with more than one syllable. 我們常在多音節字中,把不是重音的音節中 uh 的發音省略 For example, instead of saying "Choc uh late," 例如,與其說 choc uh late, we say "choc late." 我們會說 choc late So, the "o" in the middle, which makes the "uh" sound, is omitted. 所以在這裡,中間發 uh 的 o 這個音節會被省略 "Choc late." "Choc late." choc late. choc late. And, instead of saying "cam uh ra," 然後,與其說 cam uh ra, we say “cam ra.” 我們會說 cam ra So, the "e" in the middle, which also makes the "uh" sound, is omitted. 所以這裡,中間同樣發 uh 的 e 這個音節會被省略 "Cam ra." "Cam ra." cam ra. cam ra. And, instead of saying "lab uh r uh tory," 最後,與其說 lab uh r uh tory, we say "lab r tory." 我們會說 lab r tory So both "uh" sounds are omitted. 所以這裡兩個 uh 的音都會被省略 "Lab r tory." "Lab r tory." Lab r tory. Lab r tory. This chocolate cake looks so good. 這個巧克力蛋糕看起來好好吃喔! Stop! Don't eat it yet! I need to find my camera. 等一下!先不要吃!我要先找我的相機 Sorry. I'll just watch some Dexter's Laboratory. 抱歉,我先來看《德克斯特的實驗室》好了 Thanks for watching! 謝謝收看!
