There are so many different makeup techniques out there to help you perfect your own individual look, But many times these tricks are better left to the pros. Keep watching to see 10 makeup tricks you need to stop doing. Boxy Brows Thin brows were all the rage in the early-2000s, but slowly, thick brows stole their thunder. If you weren't blessed in the brow department, like supermodel and actress Cara Delevingne, there's a simple solution. Eyebrow pencils or a powder and an angled brush can fill in the sparse brows to give them new life. But there's a thin line between bulking up your brows and completely overdrawing them. Overly filling in your eyebrows and giving them a square and boxy look makes them appear unnatural. So go easy when you're filling in your brows, and just remember, less is more! Overdrawn Lips The world became envious of Kylie Jenner's perfectly plump lips, and makeup lovers worldwide were overdrawing their lips in an attempt to recreate her look. Unfortunately, this makeup trick is usually an epic fail. Applying lip liner and lip color above the natural outline of your mouth is a recipe for disaster. Your lipstick is bound to wear off throughout the day, and you'll be left with an unflattering ring of lipliner around your mouth. Excessive Contouring Kim Kardashian rocked our world when she convinced us all that contouring was the key to get a perfectly slim and chiseled face. When celebrities are on stage or in front of the television cameras, Contouring is a magical makeup application that really makes their features stand out. But for everyday wear, anything more than a slight contour on the nose and cheeks is a big no-no Excessively contouring the entire face can leave harsh, unsightly and unblended lines all over your face. Strobing Strobing is essentially the same as highlighting and contouring ...Minus the contouring, of course. The strobing technique literally puts a spotlight on the high points of your face, like above the cheekbones, Down the bridge of the nose, underneath the brow bone and at your temples. But too much strobing can be disastrous, and if the glowing finish is a little too excessive it can even become blinding. Baking When we say the word "Baking" we're not referring to that apple pie that's sitting in your oven In the beauty community Baking is the act of letting translucent powder sit on your face for up to five minutes to set your foundation and concealer. After the five minutes is up, you simply sweep or pat the powder away, and the results are supposed to be a gorgeous finish. But baking actually adds more layers of product to your skin As your foundation, concealer and powder set, you're left with a thick and heavy makeup application that is anything but flawless. Too Much Bronzer Bronzer is used to provide a natural-looking glow to certain parts of your face. But some people, like Lindsay Lohan, take their love for bronzer a little too far. Applying bronzer all over your face is not the way to get a sun-kissed glow. You will actually just end up having an obvious orange-tint all over your skin. Exaggerated Smokey Eye A good smokey eye gives you a glam look for a night out in on the town. A black eyeshadow is used with an offsetting color to provide depth and dimension to your eyes. But when the dark color isn't applied to the eyes precisely, it can turn into a beauty disaster. Just dusting a bunch of black eyeshadow on your eyelids is a makeup trend that needs to be stopped in its tracks Ombre Lips The ombre trend has seen better days. First, it started off with ombre hair, then it moved on to ombre eyelids and ombre nail polish. The latest thing to receive the ombre treatment is the lips. Ombre lips consist of using multiple lipstick colors to create a gradient effect. Applying lipstick should be the easiest and fastest product to put on in the morning. Who really has time to apply two different colors and blend them together? We sure don't. Glitter Explosion A little bit of glitter here and there never hurt anyone, But an explosion of glitter all over your eyelids is definitely one trend that needs to be stopped. Celebrities like Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga have tried desperately to get everyone onboard the glitter train. But an excess of glitter on your face is not only a distraction, it can turn into a complete mess. This makeup trend was fun while it lasted, but it's definitely time to put it to rest. Spider Lashes Leave it to the beauty industry to bring back the train that has been hibernating for years. The clumpy Mascara look made its triumphant return in 2015, And what was once considered a beauty faux pas was quickly listed as the hottest trend in the makeup world. But even when khloe Kardashian stepped out with her clumpy spider lashes, We still couldn't give a trend a thumbs up. Light, feathery strokes of Mascara will always win us over, So we'll be happy when the spider lash trend makes its final exit. Do you agree that these makeup techniques need to go away forever?
