I'm from here, Pasadena local born and raised. I'm a jujitsu athlete, so I do a lot of physical activity. I train six days a week. I'm an active competitor. And I vape. And the reason why I vape is because, you know, back in high school, I used to smoke cigarettes. I started vaping when I was around 18 years old. Actually a week after my birthday. And it honestly changed my life. My name is Steven Barry. People ask me all the time what my vape story is because I'm a pretty strong believer in vaping. And part of the reason why is because my entire family smoked cigarettes. I watched my Uncle Pat die of, I watched my Grandfather, my Grandmother, I watched my entire family just pretty much wither away. So I'm Ron Hopwood and I'm 50 years old. I live in Upland, California but I work in Pasadena, California. And I was a daily cigar smoker for 20 years. I saw through the Internet that the city of Pasadena is rolling out a new public health type program and they're classifying vapers as sheep. I was offended. I couldn't believe that they would -- here we are in California, a politically correct state, a very progressive state, a very blue state, and now they're classifying a whole bunch of people as sheep. Labeling vapers as stupid sheep is really insulting. They are calling you stupid sheep. Anybody in PR knows that you do not denigrate and you do not shame your clients, you do not do that with the general public because it will backfire. Nothing good will come from this. The government gave 1.5 million dollars to the city of Pasadena to discourage people from vaping. Whatever way is gonna work for you, it's a good thing. We need you. The world's a better place when you protect your right to vape, your ability to share your story of recovery, your ability to stay away from cigarettes because of this incredible invention.
