before everyone's recommendation, I've never heard of this song

在大家推薦這首歌之前，我完全沒有聽過這首歌

but seriously, there were way too many people recommending this song

不過真的太誇張多人推薦這首歌

and after I googled it I realized that...oh god

然後去搜尋一下發現...不得了了

This song is hella popular

真的是紅到炸掉的歌R

This song is about searching for someone, something, or some place

這是一首在尋找某人、某物、或是某地的歌

Or probably about someone who is lost and trying to find himself/herself

也有可能是迷失了自己，在尋找自己的歌

This time I'm also going to explain and break down the lyrics

今天也會對歌詞做解釋跟分析

So now let's dive into this top hit song together!

那我們就一起來看看這首超夯的歌吧！

害怕我們失去目標

This line could be translate into: 你伴我如影隨形

這句歌詞的翻譯是: 你伴我如影隨形

When there is light, there is shadow

在有光的地方，就會有影子

By using "shadow" and "light" these two words, we can see that

從他使用的 shadow 跟 light 這兩個字可以發現

there is a close relation between them

他們兩的關係是非常親密的

Light and shadow exist together and can't be separated

光影並存，無法分開

In fact, there certainly are better words

但其實若要描述無法分開的兩人

to describe two people that can't be parted

一定有更好的字句

However, he chose the word "shadow"

但他選擇用「影子」這個字

giving the feeling of darkness and lost

給人一種黑暗跟失去的感覺

as foretelling that what is going to happen

彷彿在預言接下來會發生的事

Noted that the past tense "were" is used here

注意這裡用的是 were 過去式

Which means that how it used to be is not the same right now

代表雖然從前是那樣，但是現在已經沒有了

"Aim" here is a noun meaning goals and aspirations

Aim 在這邊當做名詞是目標、願望

or something to be achieved

The phrase "out of sight" means something is too far to see

那 out of sight 這個片語是「遠到看不見」的意思

You may often hear the idiom "out of sight, out of mind"

那你也可能常聽到，"out of sight, out of mind", 這句諺語

It means something is easy to forget due to the inability to see it

那他的意思是，「因為看不見的關係，所以就會容易遺忘」

And the "alive" in the line "wanna see us alive"

那 wanna see us alive 這邊的 alive

Instead of the concept of "being alive"

除了有生命上的活著的概念

it might also implicate the expectation that their relationship is still "alive"

which means that they don't give up on each other

"Fantasy" and "imaginary" are actually two very similar words

Fantasy 跟 imaginary 其實兩個字非常的像

They both mean "not real"

What he wanted to express here is that

Since what he cherished has faded too quickly

因為他所珍視的東西消逝的太快

It made him doubt that if all of it is just a dream or fantasy

讓他不禁懷疑，這一切是否只是夢，只是幻想

resembled the feeling of yelling out loud and keeping on searching

The use of the story here is because that what he has lost and been looking for

這裡會用這個典故是因為他所遺失尋找的

is like the lost Atlantis

Mysterious and beautiful, but unsearchable

Therefore it made him go insane and lose himself
