  • (strong classical music)

  • - Oh my gosh, my water just broke.

  • We were out at lunch it all like (mumbles).

  • My water broke, I've never had this happen before.

  • I'm gonna show you my lap, look at, I am a mess.

  • - Are you allowed to show that?

  • - I think I'm allowed to show that.

  • We need to get to the hospital right now.

  • I have always had babies really fast after my water breaks,

  • we are not prepared, we do not have all our things,

  • but we need to go.

  • Kind of freaking out, this has definitely never happened.

  • It's actually kind of rare for your water to break

  • when you're not at the hospital.

  • It only happens to like 17% of pregnancies.

  • - And all television shows.

  • - And all television shows. (laughing)

  • I never would have expected this

  • and Christopher's getting on a phone,

  • he was like okay I've got to make a meeting,

  • and I was like okay sweetie.

  • And I stand up and it was all (mumbles),

  • like the weirdest feeling, I can not believe

  • this just happened.

  • We need to make a lot of phone calls right now.

  • Sorry guys, and I put my phone on the ground,

  • I don't even now what I'm going to do,

  • I'm sitting on Christopher's sweater, actually it's Jacob's.

  • We do not have a towel in the car,

  • I would never have expected this.

  • May 12th, I think today's the day.

  • It's gonna be May 12th or May 13th,

  • oh my goodness, woo, woo.

  • I'm calling and texting a bunch of people.

  • I did feel a contraction and it was when Christopher

  • was also turning a corner so a lot of like squirtiness

  • happened, I have no idea what's going on down there guys,

  • I'm not about to look anymore.

  • I called my doctor, put him on the alert,

  • we're on the way to the hospital.

  • Gwen has the kids right now so they are taken care of

  • but they're going to be coming to the hospital too.

  • We have a Vloggy but we don't really have

  • our computers or our camera equipment so

  • I think yesterday's vlog is going to be late

  • or you know, vlogs are going to be late,

  • we're going to the hospital,

  • I think you guys'll forgive us for that. (laughter)

  • No, water is breaking more when I laugh, so pro tip.

  • - Pro tip, if you want lots of water to come out of you,

  • just go ahead and laugh.

  • - Yeah or just like, if you don't want it come out of you,

  • try not to laugh too much, but whatever,

  • just live your life.

  • I can't believe this is happening.

  • - So usually when Jessica's water breaks, in the past,

  • it's been like major contractions and the baby comes

  • in like five minutes.

  • - Yeah.

  • - And it takes us a while to get to this hospital.

  • I'm surprised that you're not acting like

  • you're having major contractions.

  • - I'm being cool, I don't know, who knows what's going on.

  • - Are you feeling major contractions I guess is my question?

  • - I felt, yeah, I'm feeling it right now,

  • I think again so I think that's about,

  • it's got to be three to five minutes.

  • - You're talking through the though.

  • - Yeah right now it's not that bad.

  • It's not that bad so we'll see.

  • In the past, I don't think I've had my water break

  • and not had a baby within 30 minutes,

  • but every pregnancy is different,

  • every labor is different.

  • I am feeling, I think I'm feeling one now.

  • My guess is it's about three to five minutes apart.

  • My guess is we've got to like zoom over to the hospital,

  • which is what we're doing.

  • - We're going.

  • - We're doing our best.

  • - We're going as fast as we legally can.

  • - Yeah.

  • - Obeying laws, for now.

  • - It's time.

  • - Until it gets too serious.

  • - Today's the day, we're gonna have a baby.

  • Do we have stuff for a baby in the, we got the car seat.

  • - Yeah, we've got our hospital bag...

  • - Okay.

  • - We've got our car seat, we've got a boopy,

  • we've got our diaper bag, the only things we don't have

  • is like one of my really good cameras to like,

  • get really good shots but we have this camera

  • so that's something.

  • - Oh my goodness you guys, ahh, I can't believe it.

  • I've like always fantasized about breaking my water

  • like somewhere else, but then by, you know I'm on my fourth

  • so I was like that's never gonna happen,

  • I'm never gonna be like Ms. Break her water

  • in the middle of a place.

  • I totally stood up at the place where we were having

  • a late breakfast and I don't think I made a mess,

  • like I think its all in my leggings but I don't know

  • people saw, I don't know anything,

  • I just kind of booked it, I was like, Christopher,

  • my water broke.

  • - Well you might have left water behind?

  • - I don't know what I did.

  • - Oh my god.

  • - I was just really confused and excited and I was like,

  • I'm just blooping right now, I'm doing something down there.

  • - We'll get you a wheelchair when we get there.

  • - Oh yeah. (laughing)

  • It's really gushy, it's warm and gushy.

  • - I got you the luxury sedan of wheelchairs, it's very wide.

  • - You're just trying to say you got me

  • the giant pregnant lady one, oohhh.

  • - Okay, you good, kind of?

  • Just so it doesn't fester while we're in there.

  • - Oh my goodness, okay so they just checked me in,

  • I'm wearing my hospital gown that I bought

  • so they let me wear it, I'm super fancy.

  • - They let her keep her pearls on.

  • - Yeah, they asked if I want to keep my pearls on,

  • I was like, why not right?

  • - The most fancy in labor.

  • - The fanciest labor, ooh, I'm still gushing the fluid.

  • Remember guys, I brought a lot of fluid in with me

  • so that's happening a lot.

  • They just checked me and I'm about

  • four to five centimeters dilated.

  • We'll see how it all goes,

  • (unintelligible) get it done guys.

  • Baby time, baby time, cause it's baby time.

  • - This is so exciting, Jessica's gonna have a baby,

  • we're gonna get to meet a brand new person.

  • A person that hadn't been here before, that's brand new,

  • we will get to meet that person, be like the first people

  • to meet that person.

  • - Happiest Mother's Day ever.

  • - I'm so excited, so we'll keep you posted,

  • right now we're in the woo hoo excited phase.

  • No bad feelings or anything, feeling pretty good?

  • - I'm pretty good.

  • Gwen is stuck in traffic, about an hour away with the kids.

  • Bailey and I will both be pretty devastated

  • if she doesn't make it so, well maybe Bailey will forgive me

  • cause she'll have a baby in her arms.

  • - You paused while you were talking, was that a contraction?

  • - I'm sorry, no no.

  • - Oh okay.

  • Cause if you guys don't know, Jessica,

  • when she has contractions, sometimes, when it gets

  • closer to the pregnancy, they're usually more intense

  • but sometimes, she just likes breathes through them

  • and the doctor is like, you just had a major contraction,

  • she's like I know.

  • - You have to check for me, go see if I've had any,

  • I don't know.

  • - I mean there is a little spike here but I'm not sure

  • if that's just the baby moving or not.

  • It doesn't look like a, it looks too chaotic,

  • like usually contractions they kind of go smoothly

  • up and down.

  • That's just from my remembering of it, I'm not a doctor,

  • I don't know things.

  • - My water broke.

  • Hey get so excited, you'll have a baby today.

  • - Where did your water break?

  • - Where was I?

  • - Uh huh.

  • - We were at breakfast.

  • - Daddy and I were going to breakfast

  • and well it was kind of a late breakfast, it was noon.

  • It was like a (mumbles) and it was weird cause I was like,

  • I got up to go pee, but it didn't feel like pee at all,

  • it wasn't at all me being like, oh did I just pee my pants?

  • It was definitely like my water just broke,

  • and then I was like wait, didn't I have to pee?

  • How exciting (unintelligible).

  • - You're having a baby right now?

  • - Yeah, it's going to take some time

  • but today's the day.

  • - Are you sure?

  • - There's no going back.

  • - Jacob doesn't trust it.

  • - It might be tomorrow.

  • - It's going to be in the next 24 hours.

  • - And we're gonna to go to the waiting room

  • while Bailey plays with Dunc?

  • - Unfortunately, we did not have a towel in the car

  • so mommy had to sit on your orange sweater.

  • Your orange sweater saved the day.

  • - It's not ruined, it'll get washed.

  • - We'll wash it, but your orange sweater saved the day.

  • (laughing)

  • Trying to decide if that was a forgivable offense.

  • - Is that okay?

  • - Is that alright?

  • - Can I wear it?

  • - Not right now.

  • - I think he's okay with it.

  • - But can I wear it after.

  • - Yeah, for sure.

  • - After it gets washed.

  • - It'll be a special memory, right?

  • - Yeah, my brother broke it.

  • - Yeah.

  • - His bubble.

  • (laughter)

  • - Your brother blew his bubble.

  • - And then Duncy, they put Duncy over here.

  • - Yeah they're gonna put Duncan up there.

  • - And then what are they gonna do for Duncan?

  • - Well they're gonna check him, they're gonna check

  • his heart rate and how he's breathing

  • and they've got a nice warm light up there

  • that'll keep him warm and they probably have a

  • bilirubin light that'll help him not get jaundice

  • and look, they have the doctor's stethoscope,

  • we can't touch any of this stuff but they have a stethoscope

  • and special breathing stuff in case they need it.

  • They have everything they need, just in case,

  • just in case so they can take care of the baby.

  • - And just in one thing.

  • - Yeah, when you were first born,

  • you were put up in one of those.

  • - Ohh.

  • - And so was Jacob.

  • - Which hospital was here?

  • - You were in a different hospital, not this one.

  • - I'm in labor but I feel fine so I'm gonna take a minute

  • to do my makeup, so I look nice when my baby comes

  • so I can take some cute pictures

  • and maybe I 'll only get half way through

  • and then we can all laugh at me.

  • Well let's see, I'm gonna do some makeup though.

  • I did my makeup, which I know is really silly but,

  • I don't know, I'm not doing anything else right now guys,

  • I'm just kind of sitting here so it made sense at the time.

  • So far, I have managed to break two nails.

  • I broke that nail and that nail, both my thumb nails.

  • Basically I don't even know how,

  • I was trying to move this table,

  • that's what I put my makeup on to do it and yup,

  • I broke two nails.

  • That's my progress so far in this labor, I'm very excited.

  • So this is already turning into a wildly

  • different labor for me.

  • My water broke and now I'm here

  • and nothing is really happening.

  • I've dilated to like four or five but it's like,

  • the baby isn't just like flowing out as my other

  • children have, so who knows this is definitely

  • going to be different, I don't know what to expect.

  • - I notice they brought in some new furniture for you.

  • - They brought in this ball that's covered

  • with a lot of stuff because I'm about to cover it

  • with more stuff.

  • I'm going to bounce on this ball

  • and I'm going to encourage the baby to kind of come down

  • and be pushing on my business.

  • Hopefully that gets things started even more

  • cause right now, I'm just fine, just hanging out

  • and doing my makeup and stuff.

  • - Okay, lets get you on your ball.

  • - Hey, birthing.

  • - This is what having a baby looks like,

  • in case you've never done it, this is it.

  • That's how you do it in style.

  • Just in case you didn't know how much of a nerd I am,

  • I just used this rolling chair as a dolly to get this shot.

  • Look who just showed up.

  • - Hello.

  • - Why didn't you bring your dog?

  • - Because...

  • - Into the hospital, what's going on?

  • - It's got eggs in it's poop. (laughter)

  • - Does it really?

  • - Yeah I just found out.

  • - You just found out?

  • How did you find that out?

  • - Vets, that's how, magic.

  • - What kind of eggs, ostrich eggs, reptile eggs?

  • - Yeah, a little ostrich, a little reptile,

  • alligator and mainly.

  • - Didn't they check it?

  • - Yeah, that's actually how I found out, they checked it,

  • they went to the vet two days ago

  • and then today the vet called.

  • - They waited til you took it to give you the bad news?

  • - Yeah, so his poop's a little runny, that's all.

  • - Gross.

  • - Oh, thank you for being here for me.

  • - Excuse me, mama.

  • - Yeah, I question what's coming next.

  • - Is this blanket covering you from your body?

  • - Yeah, it's giving me privacy, isn't that great?

  • - Uh huh, why does it need privacy?

  • - Well just because, I'm just doing privacy and look,

  • it's covered in wetness, you know what this is?

  • - No.

  • - This is amniotic fluid, can you say amniotic fluid?

  • - Amniotic fluid.

  • - Good boy, say that again.

  • - Amniotic fluid.

  • - Good job, this is what baby Duncan has been floating in.

  • Guess what's really funny?

  • He's been drinking this and then he's been pee-peeing

  • it out, and then he drinks it again, isn't that silly?

  • - Can you tell me one thing that you're excited

  • about doing with baby Duncan?

  • - I'm excited about playing with him.

  • - It's 6:30 pm and my water broke at noon like exactly,

  • so were about six and half hours in

  • and not a lot has happened, like I'm starting to feel alive.

  • Usually it means something, I haven't gotten

  • an epidural or anything, I'm feeling it.

  • So, I'm like a six right now and dilating a little more

  • so things are happening, just a lot slower than

  • we've had in the past as far as after my water had broken.

  • One exciting adventure, it turns out that this is

  • my doctor's wedding anniversary and he is at his

  • anniversary dinner which is awesome, super excited for him

  • but right no there's a different doctor

  • so he might deliver the baby and he's totally new to me,

  • I've never met him, well, I just met him today,

  • that's the biggest news.

  • A lot of people are here having a party in the waiting room

  • and they're basically all Ballingers

  • because Ballingers kind of clear a room with toots.

  • There has been a significant amount of fluid, like a lot,

  • a lot, a lot of amniotic fluid and there's still more,

  • that's been kind of funny, it's been intense.

  • Sorry guys.

  • - So I made all these things while I was

  • at the doctor's office.

  • - What are these made out of?

  • - Wikki sticks.

  • - Oh, so you're a doctor?

  • How's his heart rate Bailey?

  • How's it look in there?

  • - Good.

  • - Any spiders.

  • - No.

  • - Okay.

  • What are you doing now?

  • - I'm checking the blood pressure.

  • - Oh good.

  • - And now it's time to take your temperature.

  • - Ahh, that tickles.

  • - No fever, good.

  • - Can't remember if I gave this update or not,

  • so I'll just give it again.

  • So the nurse checked me and I am six centimeters dilated

  • and 80% effaced so getting there.

  • And I haven't really ever talked about this I don't think,

  • my birth hope, not necessarily what's going to happen but,

  • kind of like my loose plan is to do it without

  • any medication so so far I haven't had any.

  • I haven't had an epidural or Pitocin or anything

  • because I've had Polyhydramnios,

  • that's the too much amniotic fluid,

  • that they're going to have to give me Pitocin right away

  • after the delivery to help contract and shrink

  • my uterus safely because there's a chance

  • that I could have major bleeding

  • because the uterus is basically going from

  • such a large size, where it shouldn't have been

  • because there was just way too much liquid in it,

  • and it's shrinking back down so rapidly that

  • it needs some assistance or it can get dangerous.

  • I will be having it then.

  • Also I already plan on having pain medication at that point.

  • I was like order that Motrin now.

  • That's what I usually do, I usually kind of skip stuff

  • if I can during the birth and then after

  • I get a little medication.

  • - Rachel is going to take my camera and check on the kids.

  • I'm staying in this room until Jessica has the baby.

  • But Rachel is going back and forth and right now

  • she's gonna go check on the kids, my kids,

  • I want to see them.

  • - Alright, I'll take the camera.

  • Hi, let's go.

  • Hey Parker, where did you get that dog?

  • - From grandma's house and I took the collar off.

  • - How did he get a dog?

  • - I don't know.

  • Hey Jake, whatcha doing?

  • - I'm switching the teams.

  • - You're confused, what?

  • - A team...

  • - Hey Bail, what are you doing?

  • This is for your dad.

  • - I don't know what I'm doing.

  • - You don't know what you're doing?

  • Are you playing a game?

  • - I'm trying to make tea.

  • - Did you succeed?

  • - Mm, hmm.

  • - Fantastic, good work.

  • It's a little later, this is still what's happening

  • in the waiting room.

  • - What are you guys doing?

  • - We're playing BALLZ.

  • - Nope, Christopher's channel.

  • - We're playing a game called B-A-L-L-Z,

  • Ballz, and it's fun.

  • - And that's what's happening.

  • (happy upbeat music)

  • - Things are starting to get a little more serious,

  • Jessica's contractions are getting stronger,

  • she now has a popsicle and I'm holding it

  • because she needed to focus on the last contraction.

  • Are you having one now?

  • - I just stopped.

  • - Just stopped.

  • Bailey's here now, she's in the room,

  • she'll probably stay in here until the baby comes.

  • Are you excited?

  • - Mm, hmm.

  • - Yay, exciting.

  • - How are you feeling right now?

  • - Contractions are (unintelligible), blah.

  • - Jessica is at 10 centimeters,

  • that means it is time to start pushing.

  • Look at how much of a champ she is.

  • - I'm so excited.

  • - She's feeling it but she's like acting like

  • she's not feeling it.

  • - 10 centimeters, no cervix, it's just gone.

  • - It's just gone, so they're calling the doctor,

  • he's gonna come.

  • Hopefully well have a baby here in just

  • a few little minutes.

  • - Baby, baby.

  • - You excited?

  • Me too.

  • (baby crying)

  • - Oh, what's his name?

  • - Duncan.

  • - Duncan.

  • Look at this guy, hi, you're too cute.

  • - My last one was nine pounds, nine ounces.

  • - Oh yeah, he's just little.

  • - Hey, hi.

  • Hey buddy, you are so amazing.

  • You are so amazing.

  • (piano music)

  • - He is so cute.

  • Look at you buddy, he's a blondy too.

  • - Don't cry, its okay.

  • Hi, it's bright out here isn't it?

  • It is bright out here, there's a lot to see.

  • You look so good.

  • (baby crying)

  • - Hi buddy, it's okay, it's okay.

  • It's okay.

  • - Who was in today, will probably see you tomorrow,

  • we have to go to Los Angeles in the morning.

  • - So precious.

  • - Thank you.

  • - Oh, he's shivering.

  • ( children screaming and laughing)

  • - That's your baby brother.

  • - Hey Parker, meet Duncan.

  • - He likes sticking his tongue out, believe me.

  • - He's so cute, a cutie.

  • - He has curly hair like Parker, want to see?

  • - And he has eyebrows like Jacob.

  • - Don't take his hat off, it's gonna make him cold,

  • he's not used to the air like we are.

  • What do you think of that Parker?

  • - He's cute.

  • - He's so cute.

  • - He's so cute, my brother.

  • - Did it hurt when he comes out?

  • - A little bit, but not anymore, now it's just happiness.

  • - Can I touch him?

  • - Yeah, you can touch him.

  • - Here I'll bring you over.

  • - How does he feel?

  • - Ohh, I wish I could be him.

  • - Jacob's ready to hold the baby but, guess what Jacob,

  • he needs to finish nursing first,

  • and second you're gonna need to wash your hands really well

  • before you hold him.

  • What do you think?

  • - Very awesome.

  • - Very awesome.

  • - Can I take a selfie with him?

  • - You promise to share it with me?

  • - I don't ask anyone to take selfies.

  • - Is this his first selfie?

  • - He didn't like it I'm sorry.

  • - Oh no he's fine.

  • - Okay, you're gonna learn to like it.

  • Oh wait, this isn't a camera, I was about to

  • talk to my phone as if it was my body.

  • (laughter)

  • He's like this big.

  • - Hi Popeye, hello.

  • - I want to hold his hand.

  • - His hands are getting warmed up right now

  • but you can go like this on his hands, they're in here.

  • - Let me touch his lips.

  • - No don't touch his lips but touch his face, that's fine.

  • You can touch his little cheeks, he's so soft.

  • That's your first time touching your baby brother.

  • - When are you gonna wash him off.

  • - Tomorrow, he's perfect right now.

  • - Only tomorrow?

  • - Yeah.

  • - Duncan...

  • - Shh, calm down little guys.

  • - What'd you just hear?

  • - It just made me cry, just hearing him cry.

  • - He's so horrible.

  • - What?

  • Adorable.

  • - Adorable.

  • - He's adorable.

  • - Oh poor internet connection.

  • - Check out this world.

  • - Hi Colleen.

  • - Oh my god, he's so cute.

  • - Thank you he's such a good boy.

  • Can you see, taking care of baby bunny, good boy.

  • - What a little sweetie.

  • - Little sweetie.

  • - I love you little sweetie.

  • He came.

  • - He's eight pounds, two ounces.

  • - Oh he's so precious.

  • (machines beeping)

  • - That's the cutest, holding her hand.

  • Oh look at that like Elvis Presley he just did.

  • - Hi baby.

  • - He's so mellow.

  • - Look at him just kneading on you that's so sweet.

  • - Oh he wants some food.

  • - Yeah, he's already been doing a really good job with food.

  • He already ate both sides.

  • - Wow.

  • - Yeah, I'll give him some more in a second.

  • Hi baby.

  • - I love my brother!

  • - Oh that was a little burp.

  • - His first burp.

  • - His first burp.

  • - You heard it here folks, the first burp.

  • - I heard the first burp.

  • - You're so good, hi.

  • Hey baby.

  • (children laughing)

  • - Wait, what?

  • - I saw the red and the hoopy thing

  • and I thought it was a basketball hoop.

  • I was mad you guys didn't tell me about it earlier.

  • - You thought we were playing basketball in here

  • while she was delivering a baby?

  • - What if she's just laying here and gets bored?

  • Shoot hoops.

  • (baby crying)

  • - Hello Duncan, what happened?

  • - Maybe he's hungry again.

  • - Okay baby, you're gonna meet your big sister.

  • - Duncan, Duncan, Duncan.

  • - What does his hair smell like?

  • - Your mom.

  • - He probably smells amazing.

  • - Oh he smells like so cute.

  • - This baby that I've never seen before.

  • - Hey there baby.

  • - Okay, Jake, just like that.

  • (baby crying)

  • - Shh, shh.

  • - Aww, he likes his kisses.

  • He's gonna be a cuddle bug like his big brother.

  • - He loves you.

  • - He hiccuped.

  • - He likes you.

  • - I love you Duncy.

  • (singing a lullaby)

  • Look at your fingers, you're too tiny

  • Look at me, I love you, I love you so much,

  • ♫ I love you even more, I love you even more

  • Today, I love you even more

  • ♫ I love you today, I love you, I so love you

  • ♫ I love you so much that it makes me happy

  • So much that I'm just staying here

  • You just...

  • If I can smell you, I really really want to

  • And let's hope you have my side

  • You're coming with me

  • You're coming with us

  • You're coming with everybody today

  • You're coming with that new finger

  • There's a man and I love you

  • And this is our bye and I love you

  • This is all I can

  • This is what I can, you can be
