I forgot that 我犯了三次錯。我的名字是 Ronnie。我忘記 I was going to make lessons today, and instead of wearing, you know, like normal clothes, 我今天要上課,所以沒有穿...你知道的,比較正常的衣服 I decided to be a lion. I guess I really messed up. I'm sorry. 反而扮的像隻獅子。我猜我搞砸了,真的很抱歉 [Laughs] I'm not sorry at all. (笑聲)其實我一點都不覺得抱歉 I'm going to teach you by request from Germany-hi, guys-what to say when stuff goes wrong. So 我今天要應德國學生的需求來教些...嗨,大家好。當身邊的物品搞錯的時候,該怎麼說 you make a mistake; everyone makes mistakes, it's normal, don't worry. We have certain 你會犯錯、每個人都會犯錯;這是很正常的,不用擔心。我們有一定的 slang phrases that you can say, makes you sound cool. Rainier, if you 厘語可以說,以讓你聽起來很酷。Rainier,如果你 want to sound cool, you can do this. 想要聽起來很酷的話,你可以這麼做 Most popular ones, we would say: "I screwed up." 最常見的一種,我們會說「我搞砸了」 or "I messed up." or "I f*@ked up." 或「我搞砸了」或「我搞砸了」 We can also say: "I mucked it up." All of these expressions just mean: 我們也可以說「我把它弄得一團亂」這些措辭全都表達著: "Oops, I made a mistake." 「喔,我做錯了」 So you can say, for example: "I messed up my job interview." 所以,你可以說,例如:「我搞砸了我的工作面試」 Or: "Oh my god, I really f*@ked up my car." 或是「喔,我的天啊,我把我的車弄得好糟」 It means that maybe you had an accident and now your car is destroyed. 這代表的意思是,可能你發生了車禍,然後你的車被毀的像破銅爛鐵 So all of these just means there was an accident, or a mistake, or something bad happened. So, 所以,這些全部都代表著:有一個意外、錯誤或任何不好的事情發生 be careful. These are phrasal verbs, so we have: "screw up", "messed up", "f*@ked up", 所以,小心一點。這些都是動詞片語,我們有: "screw up", "messed up", "f*@ked up", and "mucked up". 和 "mucked up" Then we have nouns. So these are describing usually a person. You can say: 接著,我們有一些名詞。這些大多用來形容人,你可以說: "somebody is a screw up", "someone is a f*@k up". 「某人是破壞狂」,「某人是破壞狂」 It means that they always make mistakes. Maybe they're a little bit stupid. 這表示他們總是會犯許多錯。或許他們有點笨笨的 They're just not doing things as they should. You will see this a 他們就是無法將事情做到應該要做到的樣子。你可以在電影裡看到很多這種的例子 lot in movies. There's always, like, the teenage boy, and his dad's like: 像是一個青少年男孩,他爸爸總會說: "You're such a f*@k up! You can't do anything right!" 「你總是把事情搞砸!你做任何事都不會做好!」 And the kid: "Wah", and drama happens. So we use these 然後小孩:「嗚~」,然後就接下去。我們很常在 a lot in movies as well. 電影中用到這個 Something that I remember my grandmother and my mother saying was: "Oh dash", "Oh darn". 我還記得我奶奶和我媽媽會說:「真糟糕!」、「啊!媽的!」 Now, these are... We'll call them mother and grandmother expressions. They're not offensive, 現在,這些是...我們會稱它們為媽媽和奶奶輩的表達法。它們不是去攻擊別人用的 they're not slang. It's kind of a nice way to say: "Oops." I remember when I was a child 他們不是厘語。這是說「喔!」的一種新方式。我記得當我還是一個小孩的時候 there was a TV show called The Mad Dash, and I was like: 有一個電視節目叫 The Mad Dash,我就說: "Gran, you should be on that show, because you say: 'Oh dash.'" 「奶奶,你應該去參加那個節目,因為你都說:「喔!快跑」」 "Dash" means to run quickly, so I couldn't understand why "Dash"的意思是快跑,因此,我無法理解為什麼 she was wanting to run quickly. It must be a grandmother thing. You might hear people 她想要快點跑。這是我奶奶的故事。你或許還會聽到人們說: also say: "Oh my gosh" or "Oh my goodness". These are just ways for people who don't want 「噢!我的天啊」或「喔!我的天啊」。這是有些不想說 to say: "Oh my god". Some people get offended if you say: "Oh my god", so instead of saying: 「喔!我的天」的人的另一種表現方式。如果你說"Oh my god",有些人會感到被冒犯。所以,取代 "god", they say: "goodness" or "gosh". "Oh my gosh". "god"這個詞,他們會說:"goodness" 或 "gosh"。「喔!我的天啊」 Okay? But it basically means: "Oh my god", 可以嗎?但這基本上都代表: "Oh my god"、 or "darn", or "dash", or "oops". Okay? Mm-kay. "darn"、"dash"或 "oops"。可以嗎?嗯 We have another expression. You might know: "That sucks." It's a kind of an older expression. 我們還有另一種表達方式。你或許知道:「那真的很糟」。這是一種更古老的用法 We also have an expression that something blows. You can say, past tense: "I blew it. 我們也有一種表現方式是:某是吹了。你可以用過去式的用法說:「我把搞砸了 I really blew it." It means: "I really messed up or I really made a mistake. I'm sorry." 我真的把事情搞砸了」這代表:「我真的搞砸了或我真的犯錯了。對不起」 So you can use it like: "I blew the job interview." or: "I screwed up the job interview.", 所以,你可以這樣用:"I blew the job interview." 或: "I screwed up the job interview.", "I messed up the job interview." Another way we use this is to talk about money. You can say: "I messed up the job interview."(意思皆為我搞砸了工作面試)我們運用的另一種方式,是講到錢。你可以說: "I blew all my money on beer." Which is not a good thing. It means that you spent 「我把所有積蓄都拿去買啤酒了」這不是一件好事。這代表著,你花費 all of your money only on beer. Don't do that. You need to, you know, save money for beer, 所有的錢在買啤酒上。不要這麼做。你必須,你知道的,為了啤酒存錢 save for everything. But if you blow your money on something it means you spent it all. 為了所有事存錢。但如果你「在某物上吹掉你的錢」,這表示你花費了所有的錢 So you'll hear this, again, a lot in movies, we use it all the time. 因此你會聽到這個,再一次的,很常在電影中出現。我們常常用到 One thing that is another common word that we use a lot in computers, maybe you see if 另一個是我們很常在電腦中用的字,或許你去看 your computer's in English is for technology, something crashes. You'll see it in a lot 你的電腦是否用英文來顯示,是科技上的,某物故障了。你也會在很多 of sci-fi movies, too. If something crashed it means it's broken temporarily. Not for 科幻片看到這個。如果某物故障了,這代表它暫時無法使用。但不會太長時間 a long time. So: "My p.c. or my computer crashed." This is only for software or electronics. 所以,「我的筆電或我的電腦故障了」這只能用於軟體或電子產品 So if your computer crashes, it means you're working on it or you're doing something, and 如果你的電腦故障,意思是當你正用它來工作或做其他的事時 then all of a sudden - gone. What's happened to your computer? Probably when you're doing 突然間!螢幕全黑了。你的電腦發生了什麼事?或許是當你正在 important things it just decides not to work anymore. So your computer crashed. You can say: 完成一些重要的事情,而它決定不幹了。所以你的電腦就故障了。你可以說: "My computer bit it." or "My computer choked." "My computer bit it." 或是 "My computer choked." It just means it's broken, it doesn't work anymore. 意思是它壞掉了,它不動了 You can say: "I bit it!" I used to say this a lot when I was skiing. If I fell, it was: 你可以說:"I bit it!" 當我在滑雪的時候,我時常用到這句。如果我跌倒了,我就會說: "Oh, I bit it again." It just means you made a mistake or you failed. "I choked on my test." "Oh, I bit it again." 意思是你犯錯了,或你失敗了。"I choked on my test."(直翻意思為:我在考試中噎到了) It's not this. Again: "I bit it" and "I choked" means you failed the test. 不是這個。再一次: "I bit it" 和 "I choked" 代表你考差了 So: "I choked the job interview.", "I choked on something." It just means you didn't do well. 所以「我面試失敗了」、「我什麼事情失敗了」,意思是你沒有做好那件事 We have one more expression, it's actually a movie. And the reason why I'm telling you 我們還有一種詮釋方式,這事實上是一部電影。至於為什麼我要和你說 about this movie is because it's from Canada, it's a Canadian movie. You might see this 這部電影,是因為它是加拿大拍的。是加拿大的電影。你可能會看到 expression, it's kind of old: "FUBAR!" "FUBAR" means "f*@ked up beyond recognition". So we 這種說法,這是舊式的:"FUBAR!" "FUBAR"的意思是「被搞得面目全非」。 would use this if we're really, really, really, really drunk, like: 如果我們喝的非常非常非常非常醉,我們就可能用到它,像是: "Oh my god, I was FUBAR'd last night." It's an older expression, 「喔我麼天啊!我昨晚真是糟的無可救藥」這是比較古老的表達方式 but it is a good movie if you want to learn about 但如果你想學些加拿大的文化 Canadian culture. 這是一部好電影 So the next time you get FUBAR or the next time you really muck something up or mess 因此,下次當你把事情弄得很糟、搞砸、弄得一團亂時 it up, don't worry. Even if you blew it, it doesn't matter. It's just a mistake. You'll 不要擔心。即使你搞砸它,也不要緊。就只是犯錯而已。你會 hopefully get another chance and you can make it right. 殷切期盼下次再得到機會,你就可以做好它 Til next time, rawr. 到下次見面為止。rawr(獅子吼叫聲)
