I can’t believe Harry Potter

我難以置信，哈利波特

is celebrating its twentieth anniversary this year!

竟然要慶祝它的第二十週年了！

One shot of British accent for you!

哈哈，給你們聽聽我的英國腔！

Seriously, it feels like just a few years ago

說真的，感覺書和電影出來

when the books and movies came out.

只是幾年前的事

And now it’s really twenty years old!

但它竟然已經二十歲了！

Imagine how many people Harry grew up with!

光想像有多少人跟哈利一起長大就覺得很驚人！

So Harry Potter is twenty years old,

所以如果哈利波特已經二十歲

which means that it came out when I was...four?!

表示它剛出來時我才⋯⋯四歲？

The first Harry Potter novel,

第一本哈利波特小說

which is Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone

是《哈利波特—神秘的魔法石》

came out back in June 1997

它是在 1997 年的六月出版

and it’s first movie back in 2001.

首部電影則是在 2001 年上映

Then the last Harry Potter series novel

最後一本小說

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

《哈利波特—死神的聖物》

came out in 2007,

則出版於 2007 年

and the movie franchise ended in 2011.

系列電影最後一集則是 2011 年上映

I’ve read all the 7 novels

它的七本小說我都看過

except for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

只有《哈利波特—被詛咒的孩子》沒有

and seen all the 8 movies.

八部電影也都有去看

Just a heads-up,

I think that all 8 Harry Potter movies

我覺得這八部哈利波特電影

is unique and awesome in each and every way.

都很棒很獨特

Each has a specific core story

每一部都有自己的核心故事

and we all get to grow and learn

我們能跟著主角們

and become stronger with the characters.

一起成長、學習並茁壯

There are a lot of famous quotes from the franchise

這系列也產生許多名言

like Hagrid’s “Yer a wizard Harry”

像海格的「你是個巫師，哈利！」

to Snape’s “Always”.

或是石內卜的「永遠」

I wouldn’t be able to cover all the quotes in this video,

在這部影片中我沒辦法提及所有的名言

but I’m gonna talk about

但我想跟大家聊聊

some of my favorite moments with Harry Potter.

一些我最喜歡的哈利波特經典時刻

First off,

my favorite character in Harry Potter would be

我最喜歡的角色是

Hermione Granger.

妙麗·格蘭傑

Well, obviously, GIRL POWER! Whooo!

當然是因為她的女力強大（歡呼！）

And of course, we all love the main characters

而跟大家一樣，我也很愛主要的三個角色

Harry, Ron, Hermione.

哈利、榮恩和妙麗

They all have different personalities and strengths,

他們個性都非常鮮明，也有自己的強項

so they will be able to help and support each other

所以在悲痛及希望渺茫的時刻

in times of distress and lost hope.

都有辦法互相幫助、扶持以度過難關

But, Hermione Granger, in the story,

但因為妙麗·格蘭傑的出現

we got to see a female character

讓我們有辦法看到女性角色

that can be such an inspirational role model for all of us.

而以她作為榜樣

She’s confident, intelligent, brave,

學習他的自信、智慧、勇氣

unyielding, strong and loyal,

不輕易屈服、堅強和忠誠

all the good stuff.

這些優點

As for my favorite scene,

而我最喜歡的一幕呢

I’ll have say it’s the battle of Hogwarts.

則是霍格華茲大戰

Same thing, I know there are

跟剛剛一樣，我知道

more than a few notable scenes in Harry Potter.

哈利波特裡有非常多著名的場景

But in this particular scene,

但在這一幕中

I would like to point something out.

有一個很特別的設計我想跟大家分享

I read this online in an article

在看完最後一集哈利波特電影後

immediately after I finished watching the last episode of Harry Potter.

我在網路上讀到一篇文章

In the Battle of Hogwarts,

在霍格華茲大戰中

there’s this part where there are no dialogues,

有一個橋段是沒有對話的

only background music,

只有背景音樂

and we see the trio trying to make their way out of the school.

我們會看到在三個主角想辦法走出學校的途中

First, they meet a giant creature with a club,

首先遇到拿著棒子的巨大怪物

same thing happened back in The Philosopher’s Stone

同樣的事情在《哈利波特—神秘的魔法石》中也有發生

with the troll in the toilet.

當時廁所間裡出現一隻山怪

Second, there are spiders coming at them,

再來，很多蜘蛛朝他們爬去

same thing happened back in The Chamber of Secrets

同樣的事情在《哈利波特—消失的密室》也有發生

with Harry and Ron at the spider cave.

那時哈利和榮恩在蜘蛛的巢穴

Third, they blast off a werewolf devouring a fellow schoolmate,

第三，他們擊敗了正在吞食一個同學的狼人

same thing back in The Prisoner of Azkaban,

在《哈利波特—阿茲卡班的逃犯》中也有發生

where Professor Lupin was the werewolf.

當時的狼人是路平教授

Fourth, they are faced with loads of dementors,

第四，他們遇到了許多催狂魔

and we see dementors almost through all episodes

自第三集起

after the third one.

Fifth, we see the members of the Order of the Phoenix

第五，我們會看到鳳凰會的成員

standing right behind them helping,

and the same thing back in the fifth episode,

the members grouping together.

Sixth, the trio arrives at the Shrieking Shack and meet Severus Snape,

who is the Half-Blood Prince.

You see how this scene is making a reference to

all the previous Harry Potter series?

During this short time,

we see how much the trio had battled and defeated,

我們就能看見這三個人經歷了多少戰鬥、打敗了多少人

how far they’ve come and how much they’ve grown.

走了多遠的路和成長了多少

It really thrills me to know that the last episode

知道最後一集

did pay some kind of homage to all the previous ones.

有向前幾集致意真的讓我感到滿開心的

It just felt so right, and so meaningful,

就覺得感覺很對，也很有意義

you know, everything is connected.

讓每一件事都連在一起了

My life is complete.

人生因此而完美～

Going down to my favorite spell,

再來提到我最喜歡的咒語

I think I’ll go for Obliviate.

我覺得是「空空，遺忘」

This spell is a memory charm

這是個記憶咒

used to erase someone’s memories.

用來修改或刪除某人的記憶

And the most famous scene for this,

最有名的一幕

is probably when Hermione used it on her parents.

應該是當妙麗用在她父母身上的時候

Hoping to protect her muggle parents from torture and death,

為了保護她的麻瓜父母不要被折磨至死

She erased all memories of herself from her parents’ mind.

她刪除了他們腦中所有關於自己的記憶

Obliviate

空空，遺忘

But it got me thinking,

但我後來想想

is this spell irreversible?

這個咒語是不能回復的嗎

Does that mean the parents will

這代表她的雙親

never ever remember their daughter,

even if they’ve defeated Voldemort?

I mean,

that’s just so sad!

So I hope that sometime after their victory,
