Stinky tofu is basically fermented tofu that's deep fried.

基本上，臭豆腐就是炸的發酵豆腐。

It comes usually with pickled cabbage, a sweet and salty sauce, and chili sauce.

通常臭豆腐會搭配泡菜、某種鹹甜醬，還有辣椒醬一起吃。

I always make a point to get stinky tofu whenever I visit a night market in Taiwan.

我每次去臺灣的夜市都會去吃臭豆腐。

The smell was definitely something that I didn't like at first, and I've really grown to love the taste of stinky tofu.

一開始我絕對不會喜歡那個味道，但現在我已經很習慣了，所以懂它的美味。

So, today I'm going to be sharing this dish with some of my co-workers and I'm really excited to see what they think of it.

I don't think, no matter if you're Taiwanese or not, I don't think you want that smell, like, persisting. Yeah.

我覺得不論是不是臺灣人，應該都不會想要那個味道久留不去。對啊。

It's definitely an acquired taste.

這真的要習慣之後才會愛。

It's like just left of being really good, you know what I mean? I think it's fine, honestly.

它沒有辦法被形容是超級美味，你懂我的意思嗎？ 老實說我覺得還行啦。

It's just very new.

只是不太習慣。

Maybe I'll like it the next time around.

也許我下次吃就會喜歡上它了。

Okay so, a lot less people liked it than I thought they would, and I'm not insulted that a lot of people didn't like this because there are Taiwanese people that don't like this either.

好總之，喜歡它的人比我預期的還少，不過我不會因為沒什麼人愛吃就覺得被冒犯，因為也是有蠻多臺灣人不喜歡臭豆腐的。

Like my friend said before, it's an acquired taste and plus, it means more for me, right?

就像我朋友之前說的，它需要花點時間別人才會喜歡，而且，這樣我就可以吃更多了，對吧？
