Paul David Washer 【試驗自己】(林後13:5)保羅‧大衛‧華許 has angered many of the older people. It has angered 我今晚的講道,將會激怒很多、很多教會人士 many of the youth. Many of the youth that I've preached this to have become fiercely 將會激怒很多年長的人 angry, but the people that have become most angry at 也將會激怒很多年輕人 hearing this message have been the parents of youth. I have found that there is something quite amazing among parents that, if they can get 但因聽這道而抓狂的人將是: 這些年輕人們的父母親 some sort of a claim out of their children that they 我查覺到作父母的一件很詭異的事 profess faith in Jesus Christ, they seem to hold onto that 如果他們能夠用某種手段 逼促他們兒女承認信靠基督 and it gives them assurance and joy, and it seems that they're bothered any time someone 他們就會緊抓住這點 would come and question that claim. It seems we would rather hold onto a false 他們就會認定這是確據 並且喜樂快樂 hope than to hear the truth. There are many people who do not want to hear the truth because it will shake up the false 他們(作父母的)比較傾向緊抓住假的盼望 而一點也都不想聽從真理 hope they have that they're going to heaven when, 很多人不喜歡聽真理 indeed, they are not. There are so many people in Christianity—American Christianity—that believe themselves right with God, that believe 有那麼多的人 那麼多的基督徒 ─ 美國基督徒 themselves saved because they were told that by a preacher who should have spent more time 自以為已與上帝和好 自以為自己經得救了 studying the Bible and less time preaching. I hear people all over the world—and especially 因為某個牧師曾經這樣宣告過 (宣告他們是得救的) in this country—tell me that they're saved, and I 通常是那種,應該要多花點讀經, 少上台講道的那種 ask them how do they know that they're saved. Well, because they believe. And no one asked 我在全世界都這樣聽人家這樣講 特別是在這個國家(美國) them the second question: How do you know that you believe? If we were to dismiss this congregation tonight and send everyone out to every part of this 那我就會問他: 『你怎麼知道你得救了呢?』 city, we would find out that the great majority (回答)『噢,因為我相信阿!』 of the people in this city believe that they believe. And 但沒有人問接下來的問題: 『你怎麼知道你「相信」呢?』 we know that's not true. If we were to go to taverns and crack houses tonight, if we 如果我們現在就散會 我們這些人全部都去到這城市的街上 were to go to casinos anywhere in this world, we would 我們將會知道,這城裏面大部分的人都會說: 『我相信我「相信」。』 find people who believe that they believe. And the 而我們知道那不是真的 question is—how can we be sure that we believe when so many people say they believe and we 今晚,如果我們去酒館、吸毒場所 賭博場所以及任何一個角落去訪問 know they don't. In America, we have combined two doctrines, and we have lost both of them. There are two very important doctrines in the Christian The first one is commonly called—a name I do 當這麼多人都說我「相信」 但我們知道這不是真的 not like but I will use here tonight—the security of the believer, that every person 在美國,我們混合了兩種教義 而現在我們兩者都失去了 who has truly believed in Jesus Christ is born again and 在基督教信仰,有兩條很重要的教義 they are secure. The very God who saved them will 第一條,雖然我不是很喜歡這名稱,但我今晚 會用,我們一般稱做:『信徒永蒙保守』 keep them saved----security of the believer. But there's another doctrine which we do 每個真正相信耶穌基督的人 not hear much about. It's not just the doctrine of 是重生的,是得救的 security, but the doctrine of assurance. It is true that every true believer is kept by 是全能的上帝的拯救 並蒙祂的保守 the power of God. That's the doctrine of security, but 這就是『信徒永蒙保守』 (聖徒永蒙保守) the doctrine of assurance is this: How can you be 但是還有另一個要義 assured that you're a true believer? How can you know that you are a true believer?2 我們很少聽到的(要義) I've had people tell me, "Well, I just know that I know." I tell them there's 不是只有『蒙保守』的要義 而是還有:『確據(已蒙保守)』的要義 a way that seems right unto men. It leads to death. I've had people tell me, "Well, I know in my heart of hearts that I am saved." The Bible says that the heart is deceitfully wicked. It goes 『確據(已蒙保守)』的要義是要說明: 『你如何知道你是真信徒?』 beyond knowledge in its wickedness. So, do you 『你要如何知道你是個真信徒呢?』 really want to trust a mind that is faulty? Do you really want to trust a heart that can be wicked? I've even had people tell me, "Well, I 我會告訴他們:『有一條路,人以為正,至終成為死亡之路。 』 (箴 14:12/16:25) know I'm saved because the preacher told me I'm saved." Since when did men have such authority? And, then, the worst of all—"I know I'm saved 聖經告我們:(耶17:9 ) 人心比萬物都詭詐,壞到極處,誰能識透呢﹖ because I have walked with God." My dear friends, let me tell you this, if you are 你真的想信任詭詐的人心嗎? not walking with God now, you can have no assurance that 也有很多人告訴我: 『我的牧師告訴我,我是得救的。』 you have ever been saved. We're not teaching here tonight that, if 什麼時候人有這麼大的權柄呢? you walk with God and you're saved and then you stop 接下來是最糟糕的一種: 『我知道我是得救的,因為我曾經與上帝同行。』 walking with God, you lose your salvation. What we're telling you is this—we have 我親愛的朋友,讓我告訴你: assurance that we have come to know Him not just because 『如果你今天若沒有繼續與神同行, 這代表你從來沒有得救過的確據。』 one time we repented, but we are continuing to It is not just that at one time we believed, but that we are continuing to It is not just that one time we walked 你就失去了就恩,不是這樣 with Him; we continue to walk with Him today because He who began a good work will finish 我今天要告訴你的是這個: it. It says in 2nd Corinthians, chapter 13, verse 5, Paul had come to a church, many of them professing Christ, many of them walking in 不是我們曾經有過一次悔改 而是我們至今依然「不斷的」悔改 carnality, and he doesn't ask them—he doesn't say 不是我們曾經有過一次相信 而是我們至今依然「不斷的」信靠祂 to them, "Let me ask you something. When was the time that you first asked Jesus Christ 不是我們曾經有過一次與祂同行 而是我們至今依然「不斷的」與祂同行 into your heart?" He didn't even refer to their He goes right to present tense (林後)13章5節這樣說: and he says this: Test yourselves—in verse 5—to see if you are in the faith. Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, 也有許多人放縱肉體的私慾 that Jesus Christ is in you unless indeed you fail 而他(保羅)沒有這樣問他們: the test. If I see someone who, let's say, for three 沒問說:『什麼時候是你第一次邀請 耶穌基督進入你的心中呢?』 or four years seems to have walked with God, loved the (保羅)他一點都沒有提到信主的轉變過程 他直接用現在進行式,他這樣說: saints, endeavored to pray, to know the Word, to congregate with other believers, and all 試驗你自己(自己省察)第5節 有信心沒有?試驗你自己(自己試驗) of such, and then they begin to fall away gradually. They begin to allow the 比如,如果有一個人,三、四年來都與神同行 world and sin and other things into their life. They begin to enjoy the fellowship of 愛聖徒們,盡力禱告,讀經 並且與其他信徒們有交通,等等 the wicked. I don't go to them and tell them, "You 然後一天他慢慢的離開了,回到世界,活在罪裏 know you're a Christian and you need to avoid 然後開始與放蕩的人群一同放縱 backsliding." I go to them and say, "You have made the 我不會去跟他說:『你知道你是個基督徒 你不能夠再繼續退步了(靈命)。』 good profession. You have declared among many that 我會去跟他們這樣說: 『你曾做見證,你曾在多人面前說你是信徒, you are a believer, but now you are beginning to live like an unbeliever. It is very, very 但現在你活的跟非信徒沒什麼兩樣, 很可能你從來沒有認識過祂!』 possible you never knew Him, that up until this point, 直到此時此刻,這全都只是你肉體私慾的欺騙 it has all been a very deceiving work of the flesh, 因為如果上帝沒有持續的動工 那就不可能是上帝所動的工 because, if a work of God does not continue, it never was a work of God. 保羅對他們說:試驗你自己(自己省察) Now what does Paul say to this person? He says, Test yourselves. Test yourselves. Take 試驗你自己 a test. Let me tell you something, my dear friends. 作個測驗 Heaven and hell, eternity and death may not be very 讓我告訴你一件事情 我親愛的朋友們 much a reality to you, but it most certainly is to this preacher. I could care less whether 天堂與地獄、永恆與死亡 也許對你來說不是很真實的事情 or not your bank account is balanced or you have 我能確定,這些事情,對這個傳道人 (使徒保羅)來講,是非常重要的 self-esteem. My only thing----the only thing that 我不在乎你的存款是否能夠平衡 或者你自我感覺是否良好 might keep me up this evening and steal sleep from my eyes is the fact that many of you 我唯一在乎的是 will die and go to hell.3 唯一的一件事,使我徹夜未眠 Test yourself! This is not just some whimsical thing. This is not just something to worry 挪走我的睡眠的就是: 『你們當中有許多人將會死去,並且下地獄。』 about for a day. We're talking about eternity. 試驗你自己! Is it well with your soul? If you test yourselves in the 這不是什麼異想天開的事情 這不是什麼只需要擔心幾天的小事 light of Scripture, will you be found whole and complete, born again, kept by the power 我們談論的是「永恆」 of God? It's time to take a test and stop relying 這描述你的靈魂嗎?如果你在經文的亮光下試驗你自己 on your emotions and stop relying on what everyone is 你看到的是一個完全的、重生的被上帝的大能所保守的(靈魂)嗎? telling you and stop comparing yourself to other people who call themselves Christians, 是該作測驗的時候了 because the great majority of people in America who 並停止倚靠你的自我感覺良好,停止倚靠別人對你說什麼 call themselves Christians are lost. Some leaders in the Southern Baptist Convention 並停止跟其他自稱基督徒的人比較 have said this: If we take seriously what the 因為大部份美國自稱基督徒的人都是迷失的 Bible says about Christianity, we would have to say that less than 10 to 15 percent of 有人在(美國)南方浸信會會議中這樣說: all our membership is even saved. And don't think 如果我們認真的看待聖經中所描述的基督徒 that just applies to Southern Baptists. It applies to 我們會可能只有不到10~15%的會眾是真正得救的 you all. He said test yourself. Examine yourself. Not 別以為這只是針對(美國)南方浸信會,這也適用在全部你們身上 just some light examination. Not just hear the 試驗你自己,檢驗你自己 words of this preacher and walk out there and allow Satan to steal the Word of God from 不是那種小小的測試,也並非我這個傳道人對你講了一些什麼 your heart. While you're here and while Christ 你離開這裡後,撒但也會迷惑你(從你的心中偷走上帝的話語) is present and while the Word is preached, examine 你在這裡,基督也同在,真理被傳揚著時候 yourself. It is a deadly thing. Sin waits outside this door. It is crouching and its 試驗你自己,這是生與死 罪在外頭等你,伏在門外(創4:7) desire is to have you. While you are here and Christ is present, 他(罪)的目的就是吞吃你 examine yourself. So many times in South America, working in 你在這裡,基督也同在,趕快試驗你自己 the Andes Mountains, I would have to cross footbridges----gorges that you almost couldn't 多次,在南美中的安地斯山脈,我常常需要經過吊橋 see to the bottom. Test the ropes. Test the wood. 不見底的峽谷的那種 Is this a sound bridge? Examine it carefully. Why? You get out in the middle of that thing, 要測試繩索、測試木板 這真的是座好橋嗎? it breaks, you're dead. In the same way, that 小心謹慎的試驗 salvation that you hold onto, that you trust in, it might 為什麼?因為你若走到一半掉下去 你就是死人一個 be like a horse's hair. When you swing out into eternity, many of you are going to swing 同樣的,你所緊抓住,並且信靠的那種救恩 out on nothing stronger than a horse's hair and 就像抓住一小搓可笑的馬鬃 when the fires of hell blast up, you'll wither and you'll 當你進入永恆的時候,你們其中 許多人的盼望不會比可笑的馬鬃強壯 fall. Examine yourself. Take the Word of God and 地獄的烈火響聲的時候 你將燒盡鎔化並且滅亡(彼後3:12 ) what the Word of God says about a true Christian, and examine yourself in light of it. And if 試驗你自己! you fall short of the test, repent and believe. Throw 找出在聖經中對真基督徒定義 並且就在真光中試驗你自己 yourself upon the mercy of God. Cry out to Him until a work is done. And that's another 如果沒有通過測驗 你可以悔改並且可以相信 thing, isn't it? A whole other sermon. Until a 完全信靠上帝的慈愛 work is done. This silly Christianity in America. "Repeat 呼求祂的名,直到祂動了這善工(腓1:6) these words after me." No, you might have to wait 這將需要再一堂的講道,不是嗎? (我們就講)直到祂動了這善工為止 upon God. You might have to cry out to Him until the work is done—a true work, a finished 這「糊里糊塗的美式福音」這樣說: work, a complete work. How can we take a test? How can we test our 跟我念一次這些話(認信) life? How can you test yourself tonight to see 不! whether or not you truly are a Christian? We just have to go to the Word of God to do 你必須等帶上帝的作為,肯求祂動工 直到祂動了這善工為止 that. Go to 1st John chapter 5. 真實的、全然的、完整的工 First John chapter 5, verse 13. John gives us the reason in his Gospel. In John chapter 我們要怎麼測驗?檢驗自己的生命? 今晚要用什麼方式來測驗自己? 20, verse 31, he tells us why he writes his Gospel. 怎麼知道自己是不是真基督徒? He writes his Gospel so that men might believe that 我們只需要用神的話語就行了 翻開約翰壹書第5章 Jesus is the Son of God, that He's the Christ, that they might have eternal life. Why does 約翰壹書5章 he write his epistle? He tells us here in 1st 約翰在這裡(約翰壹書5章) 告訴我們為何(寫下)約翰壹書的原因 John chapter 5, verse 13: These things----this epistle----I 約翰也再約翰福音20章31節告訴我們 告訴我們為何寫下約翰福音的原因 have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God----those of you who profess 他說:記這些事要叫你們信耶穌是基督,是神的兒子 並且叫你們信了他,就可以因他的名得生命。 Christ----why?----that you may know that you have eternal life.4 他說明了為什要寫這書信的原因 You want to know whether or not you're born again? Read the book of 1st John, because 約翰在約翰壹書5章13節說:我將”這些話”,是指書信的說明 the book of 1st John is made up of a series of 〝寫給你們信奉神兒子之名的人” 就是你們這些宣稱基督徒的人 tests, and we're going to take those tests this evening. 要叫你們知道自己有永生(約壹5:13) And I pray to God that God gives you ears to hear. 想知道自己是否是重生的人嗎? And I want to tell you something and I want to make it very, very clear. Do not listen 那你要讀約翰壹書 to your heart. Listen to the Word of God. Do not listen 因為約翰壹書是本充滿一系列試驗的書 to what your daddy says about your salvation. Do not listen to what your mother says about 今晚我們就來作這些測試 your salvation. Listen to the Word of God. Compare what you know about your secret life. 我禱告神使你有耳可聽 Now, what did I say that for? So many of you young people, you have your parents so deceived 讓我在這裡把事情講清楚 it's unbelievable, because externally you conform to their law, but it's not your 別聽你的心,要聽上帝的話 law. It's not in your heart. And in the secret place, you know 別聽你老爸說的得救論 who you are. And then some of you who are not 別聽你老媽說的得救論 children, but adults, teenagers that are older that are out in the world, you go out there. 聽上帝的話,並且將上帝的話 與私底下那個你作比較 You know who you are. Your mom and dad, they do 我為什麼要這樣說? not know. Some of you adults, church members do not know, but when you are out 因為那麼多的年輕人 你們父母親是那麼的容易受騙 there by yourself, that's the person I want you to 因為你守住了一些外在的規條 compare to the Word of God tonight. Not the one in here that looks pretty, not the one 但這不是你自己的的律例 這律例也不在你的心中 in here that's got religious makeup on. No. The 你自己知道你私底下是怎麼樣的一個人 one out there when no one is looking. You take that 你們中間有些已經不是小朋友了 你們是成年人、青少年、年紀大比較大的 person and compare him tonight to the Word of God and see if he stands. See if he stands. 已進入到世界中的你知道你是誰 You say, "Brother Paul, you seem quite intense tonight." How would you expect me to be 你爸媽才不知道(你是誰呢?) if a train----a slow-moving train was going across 大人跟教會同工他們也不知道 our path and to see my little boy just inches from 但那些你已進入到世界中的,就單單你自己 the wheel. Would you expect for me to whisper in his ear, "Back up, boy." Would you 就是要用你的那一個人,用上帝的話來檢驗 expect for me just to not even make a commotion, 不是這個今天看起來很漂亮的那一個你 也不是這個用宗教敬虔來化妝的你 but kind of motion with my hand? Or would you 不,是那個在外面的那個人,沒有人知道得那一個 expect me to scream out, "No-o-o-o-o-o!" How would you expect me to preach about these 就是要用你的那一個人,來跟上帝的話檢驗 things? Let's take that secret life of yours and compare it to the Word of God. 就在今晚,看你有沒有辦法站立的住 First John chapter 1, verse 5. This is the message we have heard from Him and announce 你說保羅弟兄啊,你今天看起來很緊繃的樣子 to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no 你對我的期待什麼呢? darkness at all. What does that mean? As in all the writings 火車緩慢前進,看到我的孩子們重蹈覆轍 轉眼就要斃命於輪下的時候 of John, he leaves things open. He leaves things 你想,我會在這時候 在他們的耳邊說些祝福的話嗎? open. I believe that, as you look through this text, you will find out that there are 退我後邊去吧!(幼稚)小朋友 two things John is saying. First of all, whenever we're 還是你希望我不要激動,揮揮手就好? talking about light, and we see this in John chapter 還是你希望我大聲的呼喊:不~要啊! (火車來了) 3, we're talking about holiness, righteousness. God is a holy God. He is a righteous God, 你覺得我要如何傳講這些事呢? has no sin, no flaw, no shadow, no speck of immorality 用那個私底下的那個你,用上帝的話來測試 in Him. God cannot be tempted. You can be tempted because there's still an element 約翰壹書第1章5節:神就是光,在他毫無黑暗。 這是我們從主所聽見、又報給你們的信息。 of evil in you that is drawn to evil. God has no evil in 這是什麼意思?在約翰的書信裏面 他將這些事情清楚的攤開在陽光底下 Him. Evil cannot draw Him. He disdains it. He despises it. He's holy. 我相信如果你細看這些經文 約翰在說明兩件事情 But that's not, I think, John's primary meaning here. John is dealing with a group 第一、他在講光,我們在 約翰福音第三章也能看到這點 of false teachers who basically are telling everybody 他是在講聖潔、公義,上帝是聖潔的 that God is a very dark and shadowy and hidden figure, and that knowledge about God is esoteric. 是公義的上帝,是無罪、無瑕疵 無黑影、在祂裏面毫無玷污 It is hidden and dark and only some people know it. And I believe that John is contradicting 上帝不受試探。你會,因為在你裏面 尚有敗壞,將你牽引到罪惡中 these false prophets and he is saying this, and 在祂裏面沒有絲毫罪惡,罪惡也無法牽引他 you listen very carefully. This is what he is saying. He's saying God is Light. And 祂嗤笑也藐視罪惡,祂是聖潔的 he means this: God has revealed to us who He is and 但我想這並非約翰在此想要表達的的重點 He has revealed to us His will. He has made it very 使徒約翰是在對抗一群假先知 這些假先知基本上在對大家傳講 clear.5 Now, let me just say something about how that 這些人說:上帝是非常黑暗的、暗昧的、隱性的人物 would change everything in America if the media 而對上帝的認識也是神秘性的 truly believed that. What kind of God do we have in America? What is the god of the politician 祂是隱性的、黑暗的,只有少數人認識祂 in America? It's this kind of god----it's a god you can pray to, but you cannot define 我相信使徒約翰在反駁這些假先知 who he is. It's a god you can talk about in a political 你仔細聽好,(使徒約翰)他這樣說:『上帝是光!』 speech, but you cannot define what his will is. And 意思是這樣的:上帝向我們顯明祂是誰 也啟示了祂的旨意。祂講得清楚明白。 that's a good god to have. Why? Because you're no longer accountable to a god like 現在讓我說明一下,如果媒體真的相信 這段經文,那將會為美國帶來多麼巨大的改變 that. You don't know who he is and you don't know 美國政客敬拜哪種上帝?是這一種嗎? what he wants, so you just do whatever your carnal, 你可以向祂禱告,但卻你不知道 祂是誰的那種上帝? wicked heart wants to do. That's a very convenient god, and that's the kind of god 你在發表政見談論講上帝 但你卻一點都不知道祂的旨意是什麼? some supposed Christians have. 有這樣的上帝很方便啊!為什麼啊? But John counters that and he says this: No, my friend, God has told you exactly who He 因為你不需對這樣的上帝負責任 is and God has told you exactly what He requires 你不知道祂是誰 你也不知道祂要什麼 of thee, old man. He's not a hidden god. Now, 所以你的心就按著你肉體私情邪慾的渴望去作 learning that, let's go to the next verse. He says this: If we say that we have fellowship 這是種超級方便的上帝 而這種上帝也是很多基督徒的上帝 with Him. . . . What does that mean? If we say 但約翰反駁這一切,他這樣說: 『不,朋友。上帝已精確的說明祂是誰。』 that we are saved is exactly what it means. If we say that we know Him, if we say that 上帝也已精確的說明祂對你的要求,年長的 we abide in Him. For so many years in America, because 上帝不是暗昧不清的上帝 of a certain seminary that has propagated this, 現在了解這一些之後 我們翻到下一節,下一節這樣說: we have been taught and led to believe that 1st John is talking about the difference between 我們若說是與神相交...(約壹1:6) 這是什麼意思? a Christian who walks in communion with God 他就是在講:『我們是得救的。』 這就是他真正的意思 or a Christian that does not walk in communion with God. They take this text to mean that, 如果我們說我認識祂,如果我們說我順從祂 if we say that we know Him, if we say that we know 多年來在美國,有些神學院這樣教導: 約翰壹書是在描述基督徒與上帝的同行, Him, if we say that we know Him and yet walk in darkness, we're just a confused Christian. 與非基督徒沒有上帝同行的差別 That's not what this text means. What this text is saying is this: If we say 他們引用這段經文來描述說: 如果我們是得救的,我們就會認識祂 that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the 如果我們是得救的,我們就會認識祂 darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. If we say that we are a Christian and yet ...卻仍在黑暗裡行,這只會叫基督徒疑惑 we walk in darkness, we are lying. Now, I know what's 這不是這經文的意思 going to happen in your heart right now. "Yeah, but you don't know my heart, Brother Paul. I know that I know that I know that I'm saved." 我們若說我是基督徒,卻仍在黑暗裡行 我們就是在說謊! I could care less, again, about your heart. Because that's not what John said. John 我知道你們現在心中在想什麼 says, if we say that we have fellowship with God, that 是阿,保羅弟兄,問題是你又不知道我的內心 我確信、我確信、我確信、我是得救的。 we are a Christian and yet we walk in the darkness, 我才不在乎你的內心在想什麼 因為使徒約翰不是這樣講的 we are a liar. Now, what does it mean to walk in the darkness? Well, first of all, you need 約翰這樣說:我們若說是與神有交通,我們是基督徒 卻行走在黑暗中,我們就是說謊話的! to understand what darkness is. It's the opposite 那麼,行走在黑暗中是什麼意思? 第一、我們要了解甚麼是黑暗 of light. If we say we are a Christian and yet we 剛好跟光明相反 walk—now what does it mean to walk----peripateo----to walk around; a style of life. If we say we 我們若說:我們是基督徒,卻行走在... 行走是什麼意思? are a Christian and yet our style of life contradicts everything God has told us about (古希臘文)peripateo 指:走出一條路 是指向一種生活的方式 Himself and contradicts God's will, we're a liar. 我們若說:我們是基督徒,而我們的生活方式,卻與 上帝的吩咐跟上帝的旨意大唱反調,我們就是說謊的 That's what it means. That's what this text is saying. It's as 這就是他的意思,這就是這經文所講的 再也清晰明顯不過了 clear as a bell. Now, listen to me. Listen to me. I'm going 現在請聽我說,注意聽好 我再跟你說一次,你看第6節 to tell you again. Look at this, in verse 6. If we say 我們若說是與祂有交通,我們若說我們是基督徒 而我們的生活在黑暗當中 that we have fellowship with Him----if we say that we are Christian and yet we walk—we 而我們的生活方式,卻與上帝的屬性與本質大唱反調 就是上帝的自我啟示(屬性與本質) lead a style of life----in the darkness, we lead 若我們的生活方式 都無法反應出上帝的性格 a style of life that contradicts the attributes and the nature 若我們的生活方式 完全違反祂對我們所定的旨意 of God, what God has told us about Himself, our style of life reflects nothing of God's 那我們說我們是基督徒的時候 我們就是說謊的 character, and our style of life totally contradicts 我們必須要明白這點 你有耳朵可聽嗎? what God has said to be His will, then we are a liar when 你必須要明白這點,你知道多數人困惑的 生活方式就像是一頭霧水般 we say we are a Christian. We've got to understand this. Do you have 這就是為何宗教是如此的危險 這些糊里糊塗的小夥子這樣傳道: ears? You've got to understand it. There are so 你只要跟我重覆禱告幾句你就會進入天堂 當他們這樣宣告的時候 many people walking around. You can see them. It is like a fog over their heads. That is 大霧就籠罩在這些人的頭上 why religion is so dangerous. All these silly 是要用大光來光照他們,使其煙消雲散的時候了 little boys out here preaching that, if you repeat a prayer,6 這就是上帝的話。我親愛的朋友,聽我說 you're going to heaven and the moment they pronounce that upon a person, it is like a 約翰在說:如果你說你自己是基督徒,而你的生活方式 就是你現在的樣子,無法反應出祂的性格 fog comes over them. But it's time to cut through 你的生活方式,你的所作所為的不斷的跟上帝的旨意 大唱反調,而你說你自己是基督徒,你就在說謊 that fog with a deeper, greater light. And that is the 好,我們繼續 接下來是另外一個測試 Word of God. My dear friend, listen to me. John is saying (約壹1)第8節:我們若說自己無罪 便是自欺,真理不在我們心裡了。 that, if you say you're a Christian and yet your style (約壹1:9)我們若認自己的罪,神是信實的 是公義的,必要赦免我們的罪,洗淨我們一切的不義。 of life, the way you are, does not reflect His character and the things you do go against 現在,他(約翰)在講:我們若說自己無罪 便是自欺,真理不在我們心裡了。 His will as a style of life, he's telling you you 在基督教歷史上有出現過一些比較激進 或者是極端的教派,相信人可以達到「完美無罪」 are a liar when you say you're a Christian. Now, let's go on. Here's the next test. 這不是聖經的教導 Verse 8. If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving 聖經的教導是:就算是最成熟的 最敬虔的基督徒依然會犯罪 ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous 約翰要這裡在教導是: to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 真正重生的基督徒,真正的上帝的兒女 最有力的特徵之一就是 Now, he said, if we say we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not 他們會對『罪』的非常敏感 也常會被引導為自己生命中的罪行悔改 in us. There have been strains of Christianity or 奇怪的是,大部分的時候若有牧師聽見我這樣 講的時候,他們會微笑,因為他們知道我在說什麼 marginal Christianity down through the history of the 當我在一個教會當中講道的時候 上帝在其中動工,對人的罪動工時 church that believed in sinless perfection. Well, the Bible doesn't teach that. The 奇妙的是,當有人開始悔改 在美國,人們常常來到前面禱告 Bible teaches that even the most mature, the most godly 我覺得太奇怪了,每次都是這些最敬虔 最忠誠的、最屬靈的會友來到前面 Christian is still susceptible to sin. What this is teaching us is this. One of the 為他們自己的「罪」哭泣 greatest evidences that a person has truly been born 那些屬肉體的、不敬虔的、可恨的、懷恨的 缺德的教會會員都坐在最後一排 again, that a person is truly a child of God is that they will be sensitive to the sin 跟石頭一樣冰冷,如同他們是完美的一樣 in their life and they will be led to repentance and confession 你看到的就是得救的跟非得救的會眾 of that sin. Isn't it amazing—and most pastors, when 真基督徒會對「罪」敏感 I preach this, they smile. They know exactly what I'm 會對「罪」敏感 talking about. Whenever I'm preaching in a church and there is a move of God and a 讓我問你一個問題: 什麼時候是你最後一次為你自己的「罪」哭泣? move of God with regard to sin, I find it amazing 這真叫人擔心 that, when people start breaking and in American churches somebody is coming forward and praying, 什麼時候是你最後一次 為你自己的「罪」哀哭? I think it is quite amazing that it is always the most godly, most devoted, most spiritual 真叫人擔心 people coming forward, weeping over their sin and 你們其中還有很多人根本 就不知道我在說什麼對吧? it is always the most carnal, godless, hateful, spiteful, wicked church members that sit back 如果我們是上帝的兒女 祂必定會保守ˋ我們 there, cold as a stone, as though they were perfect. 祂常提到祂對以色列的嫉妒的愛 What you are seeing is the difference between the 祂豈不更加的這樣對待祂的教會嗎? (雅4:5) lost and the saved in the congregation. A true Christian is sensitive to sin. Sensitive 祂正在保守ˋ你嗎? to sin. Sensitive to sin. Let me ask you a question. 我依然記得我對神學書籍的熱愛 有次我跟我的朋友去書店買書 When was the last time you wept over your sin? That's frightening. When was the last 我們要的那本書只剩下兩本 我們兩個也都要買那本書 time you were broken over your sin? That's frightening. 我拿起第一本,我是個愛書的人 在其中的一張頁面上有點損壞 Some of you don't even know what I'm talking about. When we are a child of God, God guards 我立即把這本書掉包,我給他那本損壞的書 us. He talks about his jealous love for Israel. Is 我們各自結帳,回家 it not greater for the church? Does God guard you? 在這段時間,仿佛我謀殺了某人 仿佛謀殺了人似的! I can remember my great love for books in seminary, and I went to the bookstore there 最後,我禱告,我打給他說: 『我必須跟你談談。』『怎麼拉?』他說 in seminary to buy a book with a friend of mine, 『沒辦法,我無法在電話裡面講。 我必須面對面跟你說。』 and there were only two volumes left. There were 然後...然後我去到他那裡 跟他求原諒。ˋ為什麼?因為我敬虔嗎?不! two and there were two of us. I pulled out the first volume, and I love books, and there 因為上帝會保守ˋ祂的兒女們! was a little tear on one of the pages. I swapped 我看到許多基督徒 很妙的(他們這樣說) books with him. I gave him that book and pulled out 『保羅弟兄阿,來為我們講道吧!』而然 他們在聚會前與後都在家裡 the other one. We go to the counter. We buy our books. I go home the whole time as though 坐在電視機前,看那些污穢的節目! I had murdered a man—as though I had murdered 他們對「罪」是麻木不仁 a man. And, finally, praying, having to call him 你對「罪」是敏感的嗎? up, saying, "I've got to talk to you." "Well, what is it? You can tell me over 會帶引你悔改嗎? the phone."7 "No, I can't tell you over the phone. I have got to meet you face to face." And then go before 才不久,我認識的一個人 現在陷入非常嚴重的罪惡中 him, weeping, and ask forgiveness. Why? Because I'm pious? No. Because God guards his 有人問說:『這個人是如何墮落到罪中?』 我說:『他並不是墮落到罪中的。沒有人墮落到罪中。』 children. I see Christians, and it's amazing to me. . . ."Brother Paul, come and preach 他是用「滑」的,就像其他人一樣 for us. We want revival." And yet, before they come 讓我問你,因為你們當中有些可能是 基督徒,而你們需要一些勸告 to the meetings and after the meetings they go 你正在『滑』向罪惡嗎? 開始在做一些,逐漸的逐漸的 home and sit in front of a television and watch all that filth. And they're not even 做一些你幾個月前 連想都不會想做的事 sensitive to the sin of it. 漸漸的、漸漸的 你知道會發生什麼事嗎? Are you sensitive to sin? Does it lead you to confession? Now, let me ask you, some of 你繼續走下去,這就是你沒有得救的證據 若上帝使你回轉,這就是你是得救的證據 you here, here's something you need to understand. 你會說:『保羅弟兄,你又不認識我。』 Just recently a man that I know was found in 『我不需要認識你,我認識上帝的話語就夠了。 我知道他的話適用在每一個人的身上』 grievous, grievous sin, and someone said, "How did a man like him fall into sin?" 你對「罪」敏感的嗎? And I said, "He didn't fall into sin. No man falls into sin. He slid there like Let me ask you—because some of you may be 這經文我覺得 是最受到的祝福的一段經文之一 Christians and you need to hear a warning. Are 我請問,以下描述你的態度嗎?你曾經是這樣的嗎? 「ˍ耶和華說:這一切都是我手所造的, 所以就都有了。 you sliding into sin? Are you starting to do things now, gradually, gradually, that 但我所看顧的, 就是虛心痛悔、因我話而戰兢的人 。」 (賽ˊˊ66:2) you would not have thought of doing a month ago? And little 你會因祂的話而戰兢嗎? 還是你只是想在經文中挑骨頭呢? by little by little, you know what's going to 你會為你的「罪」找藉口嗎? 你逃避上帝的話語嗎? happen? You keep going, and it'll be evidence you're lost. If God pulls you back, it'll 因為你知道祂是在對你講話,講論你這個人 be evidence you're saved. 人們常常來到我的面前說: 『我跟上帝有全新的關係了。』 You say, "Oh, Brother Paul, but you don't know me." I don't need to know you. I 那我就說:『那我們翻到約翰壹書一章八節』 『那你跟「罪」有全新的關係了嗎?』 know the Word of God, and I know it's the same for 因為你跟「罪」沒有新關係的話 你就不可能跟上帝展開新的關係 every individual. 你對「罪」敏感的嗎? Are you sensitive to sin? I want to read a passage to you just quickly. Just listen. 好,第三個測驗 在(約翰壹書)2章3節 It's one of my--to me it's one of the most blessed (約翰壹書2章3節) 我們若遵守他的誡命,就曉得是認識他。 passages in all of Scripture. Let me ask you, is this your attitude? Has it ever been your 現在你要聽(下一節): attitude? God says, For my hand made all these things, (約壹2:4)若說我認識他,卻不遵守他的誡命, 便是說謊話的,真理也不在他心裡了。 thus all these things came into being, declares the 我再看一次這經文: 因為這樣...我們就曉得是認識他。 Lord, but to this one I will look, to him who is humble and contrite of spirit and trembles 你知道嗎?我們美國... at my word. Do you tremble at His Word or do you 我跟你講,我有一次在秘魯的時候 我跟一個蘇格蘭傳教士談話 look for loopholes around it? Do you excuse your 他這樣說:你知道嗎?你們美式神學 有一萬公里寬,卻只有半吋的淺度。 sin? Do you avoid the Word now because you know it's going to talk to you and talk 他說對了 about you? People come to me all the time and say, "Brother 我們的福音真是可悲 我們的傳教方式幾乎是異端邪說 Paul, I have a new relationship with God." And I go to 1st John, chapter 1, verse 8. 你怎麼知道你認識祂?現在你去問 大部分在這城市裡的牧師這個問題: I say, "Do you have a new relationship with sin? Because, if you don't have a new relationship with sin, you don't have a new relationship 『你曾經在你生命的某個時候, 你禱告過請耶穌進入你的心中嗎?』 with God." Are you sensitive to sin? 如果你說:『是!』 他們就會說:『你當時是真誠的嗎?』 Now, third test. It's found in verse 3 of chapter 2. By this we know that we have come 如果你說:『我想是的。』 to know Him, if we keep His commandments. Now, listen 他們就會說:『那你就是已經得救的人了, 叫魔鬼別再攪擾你了。』 to this. The one who says, "I have come to know Him," and does not keep His commandments, 在他們的腦袋瓜中,連一點點的聖經根據都沒有 is a liar, and the truth is not in him. Now, let's look at this test—by this we know 我們來看聖經說什麼? 你怎麼知道你是得救的?你要怎麼知道? that we have come to know Him. You know, in America----I tell you what, I was talking (約壹2:3)因為這樣...我們就曉得是認識他。 因為我們的「心」告訴我們嗎? to a Scotsman awhile back in Peru, and he said, "You 是因為傳道人告訴我們嗎? Americans, your theology is 3,000 miles wide and a half inch deep." He's right. 你看經文怎麼說?經文這樣說: Our Gospel here is pathetic. Our evangelism borderlines on heresy. How do you know that (約翰壹書2章3節) 我們「若遵守他的誡命」,就曉得是認識他。 you came to know Him? If you go to most pastors 遵守(在原文)是現在進行式,這裡在說的是 in this city right now and you say to them, "I 我們若「持續的」遵守他的誡命,就曉得是認識他。 don't know whether or not I'm saved," this is the question they'll ask you: "Was there ever a8 point in time in your life when you prayed 然後他(約翰)繼續講解 描述一個不認識祂的人 and asked Jesus to come into your heart?" If you say 在這裡你注意一下「遵守他的誡命」 是指沒有罪惡的完美狀態嗎?不是的。 yes, they'll go, "Were you sincere?" If you say, "I think so," they'll say, 再一次的,他是在說 這是一種生活方式 "Then you're saved and you need to stop the devil from bothering 如果我把你的生活記錄下來 每天24小時 you." There's not a biblical bone in their brains. 我們將會看見一個渴望瞭解上帝旨意 並渴望順服上帝旨意的生活方式嗎? Look what the Bible says. How can you know that you're saved? How can you know it? 不斷的成長並且在順服當中得勝 而當他無法順服的時候祂傷心難過 Look what he says. By this we know that we have 我會在你的生命中看到這樣的狀況嗎? come to know Him. Because our heart tells us? 你若說:『我以前持守祂的誡命阿。』 你忘記這裡說是「不斷的」持守 Because the preacher tells us? Because we just feel it? Look what he says. By this we (信徒)蒙保守,為何蒙保守?因為上帝ˋ的應許 know that we have come to know Him, if we keep His commandments. 因為那動了善工的,必成全這工!(腓1:16) And that keep there is in present tense, as well as many of the other things 如果這工沒有完成,那就並非祂所動的工 here in this text. And what he's saying is, if we keep 你的一生有渴慕上帝的誡命 並且順服祂的記號嗎? on keeping His commandments, we know that we know Him, if we persevere in His 再次的,人來到我的面前說: 『保羅弟兄,我跟上帝有全新的關係了。』 commandments, we know that we know Him. And then he goes on and says, the one who 那我總是告訴他們: 『那你跟「罪」有全新的關係了嗎?』 is opposite doesn't know Him. Now, I want you to 因為你跟「罪」沒有新關係的話 你就不可能跟上帝展開新的關係 look at something for a moment. What does it mean to keep His commandments? Does it 我就會再說:『恩,你說你跟上帝有全新的關係。 mean to walk in sinless perfection? No. Again, 『那你跟上帝的〝話(聖經)〞是否有新的關係?』 it is a style of life. If we were to take your life out and 那好,你告訴我:『你是否跟 上帝的誡命是否有新的關係?』 film it every day 24 hours a day, would we see a style of life that desired to know God's 因為如果你跟祂的〝話(聖經)〞沒有新關係 你就不可能跟祂有任何關係 commandments, desired to obey them, was growing in victory in obedience, and was also broken 現在我們來看(約壹2章)第4節: when it didn't obey, would we see that in your life? (約壹2:4)若說我認識他,卻不遵守他的誡命, 便是說謊話的,真理也不在他心裡了。 You say, "Well, I've kept the commandments before." You forget what he's saying. 如果你有參加過某些聚會 特別是那些自我感覺超級屬靈的人 If you keep on keeping ... perseverance. Why perseverance? 會大聲呼喊的那種 Because of the promises of God. He who began a good work in you will finish it, and 我是指那些當牧師開始講道的時候 詩歌開始奏樂的時候 if the work isn't finished, He didn't do it. 然後就有人跳出來說:『喔~哈利路亞! 祂是我的救主!哈利路亞!我認識祂!』 Is your lifestyle marked by a keen interest in God's commandments and a desire to obey 使徒約翰就是在講這一種人 那種聚會聚到一半會跳出來說: them? Again, someone comes to me and says, "Brother 『我認識祂! Paul, I have a new relationship with God." And I tell them, "Do you have a new relationship 謊話的 with sin? Because, if you don't have a new relationship with sin, you don't have a new relationship with God." And then I ask, "If you've 使徒保羅是因他偉大的思想得名 但使徒約翰是因他的愛心而被紀念 got a new relationship with God, well, tell me, do you have a new relationship with His 這謙卑、卑微的使徒 正在論斷你說:『你是說謊的!』 commands? Do you have a new relationship with his Word? Because, if you don't have a new 你不覺得很稀奇嗎? relationship with His Word, you don't have a new relationship with him." 好,我們繼續下一個測試 Now look at verse 4. The one who says, "I have come to know Him," and does not keep (約壹2章)第6節: 人若說他住在主裡面,就該自己照主所行的去行。 His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is 基督徒理當行耶穌所行的 not in him. If you've been in any kind of meetings, 你說:『保羅弟兄你也太誇張了吧, 誰能夠行耶穌所行的呢?』 especially among people who consider themselves to be super spiritual and vocal about it, 讓我給你做一個比喻,好讓你明白我想要講的 I mean, meetings will get going and the preacher 當我是小孩子的時候 我父親是一個很高大又聰明的人 will start preaching or the music will get rolling, 就像所有的小孩子一樣 我只想長大後要成為跟他一模一樣 and someone will jump up and say, "Oh, hallelujah, He's my Savior. Hallelujah, I know Him." 在北邊,我們飼養畜生與賽馬 在下大雪的日子,凌晨五點,當我還是很小的時候 That's exactly what John is talking about right here. The one who jumps up in the middle 爸爸進到我們房間把我叫醒說: 『懶惰蟲沒得休息』(雙關語,出自以賽亞書48:22) of the meeting and says "I know I've come to 當他說起來,那就是要起來 我們就出去在雪中行走 know Him," but does not keep his commandments is a 我永遠記得一件事,在雪中 他腳步很大,腳印也很大 liar. He's a liar. Now, again, look at this from the context. 那時,我想要行走如同我爸爸走路一樣 John is the apostle of love. 我就嘗試伸直我的小腿 並把我的小腳放進他的腳印中 Paul was known for his great mind, but I think John was known for 那麼,你可以想像我把小腳 過度伸長而跌倒好笑的樣子 his great love, and, yet, this humble, broken apostle 你也可以知道我跌倒了 is laying down the verdict. You are a liar. It's an amazing thing, isn't it.9 但你看到這幅景況時,也會知道 我心中最大的願望就ˋ是: Now, it goes on. Let's go to another test. Verse 6 of chapter 2. The one who says he 就是想要行走如同我他行走一樣 abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner 你看這小孩你就知道,那想要像他爸爸一般 就算有時看起來一點都不像 as He walked. The Christian ought to walk as 讓我問你一個問題: 你心中最渴慕的是什麼? Jesus walked, and you say, "Brother Paul, you've gone too far now. Who can walk like Jesus walked?" 想成為祂是你最大的願望嗎? Let me give you an illustration to try to explain to you what I mean. When I was a little 你會把你的腳放進祂的腳印中嗎? boy, my father was a very big man, very smart man, 男人要聽我說,女人要聽我說 如果這不是你的現狀的話,你們必要害怕 and like all little boys, I wanted to be just like him. 有一次有一個記者問我說: 你為什麼時常要叫大家都要懼怕? Now, up north, we raised cattle and raised quarterhorses. We'd get big snows and my 我回答說:『因為他們必須要懼怕阿!』 dad would come into my room at five in the morning, 再一次,這就是試驗,這就是測試 even when I was a little boy, and say, "Paul boy, get 如果我觀看你一生 如同拍片般拍下你整個生活 up. No rest for the wicked." And when he said, "Get up," you got up. 自從假設你重生的那一天開始 你渴望可以像祂行走,還是你只是想跟大家走? And we would walk out there in the snow, and the one thing I can always remember doing 你只是想要跟是世界走、跟世界行、向世界 看齊的用語、與世界交通、世界是你的記號嗎? is—my father would take these big strides and leave these footprints in the snow. Now, 還是是耶穌?(你的記號)是耶穌嗎? I wanted to walk like my dad walked, and so I would 我們不是在講你今晚是否要重新立志 我現在是在講:『你也許連得救都沒有。』 try to stretch my legs out and put my foot in his 好,現在我們繼續下一個測試 (約壹2章)第9節: footprint, and I would stretch my legs out. Now, you can imagine, I was stretching out 人若說自己在光明中,卻恨他的弟兄, 他到如今還是在黑暗裡。 farther than I could ever go. You can imagine I looked 愛弟兄的,就是住在光明中,在他並沒有絆跌的緣由。 ridiculous, and you can imagine I fell down, but 惟獨恨弟兄的,是在黑暗裡,且在黑暗裡行, you will also know by looking at that picture that the greatest desire in my heart was to 也不知道往哪裡去,因為黑暗叫他眼睛瞎了。 walk like he walked. You could tell, looking at that 弟兄們,他這裡不是在講窮人 我們的確是要愛窮人沒錯 little boy, he wanted to be like his dad even though 也不是在講其他種族的人,其實這有點愚蠢, 因為其時也沒有其他人種的這種事 sometimes he didn't look anything like him. Let me ask you. What's the greatest desire 只有一個種族,弟兄們。(這種族)叫做人類。 in your heart? Is your great desire to walk like He 除非你的口袋中有塞進一個火星人 不然就只有一種種族 walked? To be like He was? Is that your great desire? Are you seeking to put your foot in 那麼,我們要愛那些其他膚色,其他文化,等等 我們都知道,只是他在這裡不是在講這個 his footprints? Listen to me, man. Listen to me, 當他(約翰)在說「弟兄」們的時候 他就是在講「信徒」 woman, because, if you're not, be afraid. A 他是在說:當你說你認識上帝 但你卻不切切實實的愛其他的信徒 reporter came up to me one time, and he said, "Why are you telling people to be afraid 並且渴慕與他們有交通,你就是迷失的 all the time?" 讓我舉一個例子。還記得耶穌說: I said, "Because they ought to be afraid." Again, this is the test. This is the exam. (太25:43)我在監裡,你們不來看顧我。 If I were to look at your life, if I were to film the whole (太25:42~3)因為我餓了,你們不給我吃, 我赤身露體,你們不給我穿; thing, would I see since the supposed day of your 作監獄事奉的傳道人都引用這章節 說我們要去監獄事奉 conversion this desire to walk like Him, or do you desire to walk like everybody else? 我們的確是要去監獄事奉 但這段經文跟那個一點關係都沒有 Do you desire to walk like the world and act like 除非那裡是有基督徒 the world and talk like the world and fellowship with 這經文在講什麼?我在秘魯與及 一些第三國家中學到的一件事就是 the world? Do you identify with the world? Or is it Jesus? Is it Jesus? 在某些第三國家的監獄裡面,我的朋友,聽我說 We're not talking about whether or not you need to rededicate your life tonight. We're 你被丟到監獄裡面,你就會餓到死去 talking about whether or not you need to get saved. 除非有人從外面,每一天都拿飯給你吃 Now, let's go on. The next test. Verse 9 of chapter 2. The one (監獄)他們才不會給你飯吃,你一定會死 who says he is in the Light and yet hates his 現在,我們假設,有人被關在牢裡 不是因為偷竊或者殺人 brother is in the darkness until now. The one who loves his brother abides in the Light 是因為在使徒時期,他們被關, 是因為成為基督徒的緣故 and there is no cause for stumbling in him. But the 他們被關,將會死,將會餓死 除非有人每一天都拿飯給他們吃 one who hates his brother is in the darkness and 那麼,這將會產生另外一個問題: 官員知道拿東西給他們吃的一定也是基督徒 walks in the darkness, and does not know where he 所以送飯的人就是冒著也被關的危險 這就是耶穌的意思 is going because the darkness has 你的愛是那麼的大 你會為其他在基督裡的弟兄姊妹們捨命 blinded his eyes. Now, brother here is not referring to the 現在聽我說 poor, even though we ought to love the poor. It's not 你喜愛跟那些喜歡談論、事奉、敬拜上帝 的弟兄姊妹們在一起嗎? referring to someone of another race. I always thought that was a quite stupid statement 還是你比較喜歡跟與上帝 一點關係都沒有的人在一起? anyway because there's no more than one race, folks. 因為你正在顯明你是怎麼樣的人 It's called human. Unless you've got a Martian 就像我所說的,舉例,我生長在農家 tucked into your pocket somewhere, there's only one race. We're to love people of all 你永遠不會看到小雞跟小豬玩得非常愉快 different colors and cultures and all that. We know 雞跟雞是一掛,豬群也作他們自己的事 這就是他們的本性 that. But that's not what he's talking about here.10 你說:『我是基督徒,但你知道咩, 我的朋友都是這副德行咩...』 When he says brother, he's talking about believers. If you say that you know God and 『恩,對阿,我知道,我知道你是迷路的。』 yet you do not love other believers in a real and 你愛其他的基督徒嗎? 你說:『厄...我...你知道咩...我有在去教會。』 practical way and desire fellowship with them, you're 真了不起。不過,撒旦也來教會你知道嗎? lost. Now, let me give you an example. Remember when Jesus said, I was in prison; you did 你在(教會)裡面做什麼? 你在(教會)外面又做什麼? not visit me. I was hungry; you did not feed me; 因為教會不是這帳棚、不是這建築、教會是會眾 I was naked; you did not clothe me. And guys who 你事奉幾個基督徒? 你跟幾個基督徒在讀聖經? do prison ministries will always use that verse saying, We need to go into the prisons. 你正在為幾個基督徒禱告? 你關心多少基督徒?有多少...? Well, we need to go into prisons but that verse doesn't 我有個親近的朋友 他知道我會在德州住上一些日子 really have anything to do with that unless there's 他照顧我媽媽,他也注意清潔 幫忙割草,他做這些事情,為什麼? Christians in there. What this verse is talking about, and I learned 因為她(媽媽)是個信徒 因上帝的旨意,她兒子被差遣至德州 it quite well in Peru and in other third-world countries. In some third-world countries----my 所以他就接管了,這就是我說的 這就是我在說的 friend, listen to me—you get thrown into jail, you 我的兩個髖關節都是代替品 因為我的骨頭正在退化中 will starve to death unless every day somebody from the outside brings you food. You will. 你知道我是怎麼換(髖關節)的嗎? 我是傳道人,一分錢都沒有 They do not provide food for you. You will die. Now, let's say that someone is thrown 我要怎麼替換、如何動手術的呢? in prison, not for being an assassin or a thief, 有一個人,在德州的奧斯丁,叫做 史蒂芬‧惠特洛克三世(Steven Whitlock III) but they're thrown in prison in the time of the apostles 非常年輕的人,三十二歲,非常傑出的一個人 for being a Christian. They're locked away in there. Now, they're going to die, they're 有一天他走進他的成人主日學 就在這裡,德州的奧斯丁市 going to starve to death unless somebody else brings 他聽到有很多人在為一個在秘魯的傳道人禱告 因為他在安地斯山脈中幾乎無法行走 them food. Now, that presents a problem because the authorities know anybody that brings this 他說給我這個人的名字,他打給我 guy food has to be a Christian. And so the one 他說來奧斯丁。他出機票、醫療 以及全部的費用。髖關節也都要換新的 who goes to take him food is in danger of being thrown in prison himself. That's what 這就是我在說的 Jesus is talking about—a love so great that you would 我有一次在森林裡行走,高山森林, 在秘魯的亞馬遜河‧光明道省(Dep. Luminoso) risk your own life to care for other brothers and 當時有內戰,我們那時在連軍方 都不願意去的區域 sisters in Christ. Now, listen to me. Do you love to be with 當時我們又迷路了,我跟另一個弟兄 people who love to be with and talk about and 我們在黑暗中行走 我必須藏身在貨車中的穀麥堆裡面 worship and serve God? Or would you rather be with people who have nothing to do with 我們要到那裡講道,因為信徒們情緒 正低落,不知所措、四分五裂 God? Because you are demonstrating what you are. 大家也都在取笑他們 我們知道我們必須要到那裡去 Like I said, I was raised on a farm. You do not 我們當時迷路了,越過森林, 最後,我們來到一個村莊 see the chickens over there having a good time with the pigs. Chickens hang with chickens. 我們不知道要去哪裡,我們不知道要睡在哪裡, 我們知道恐怖份子可能分佈在任何地方 Pigs do their own thing. It's their nature. You say, "Well, I'm a believer but, man, 我們也知道我們隨時都面對死亡 all my friends are, you know, they're. . . ." 當時是半夜,帕科(Paco)弟兄走到街上問: 這裡有弟兄嗎?(西文:Hay hermanos por aca?) Yeah, I know. They're lost. Do you love other Christians? "Well, I, 有人回答說:『那邊的阿婆。』一位「拿撒勒人會」老阿婆 you know, I, I come to church." Big deal. The devil comes to church. What 我們敲她的門,我說:『Soy Pastor.』(西文:我是牧師) do you do when you get here? What do you do outside it? Because the church isn't this 她緊緊抓住我們,推我們進去,趕快把門關起來 tent. It's not that building, it's the people. How many 堅持我們要住下來,匿藏我們地窖中,她去殺雞, Christians are you serving? How many Christians are you reading the Bible with? How many 炸了一些木薯(Yuca:類似地瓜的南美食物) 一切你能想像的,她正在餵養我們 Christians are you praying for? Yes, my candle's going to 這對美國基督教來說,是可怕的宣告,因為基本上祂是在說: be put out only because the sun's coming up. This world 『離開我!你們這些自稱為我的門徒的人, 卻活的像,如同不需要遵行我給你們的律例般。』 is passing away and I can tell you biblically that, if 我剛剛描述了今天大數在美國稱為教會的景象 you're living for it, you're an absolute fool. Now, let me tell you something, something----I think legalism is death. 祂說:『諸山要升上,它們全部順服遵從。』 祂說:『諸谷要沉下,它們也全部順服遵從。』(詩104:8) Let me tell you that. I think it is. I think it's 祂說:『海水不可越過這界線,海水就順服遵從。』 death. But I want to tell you something. The Bible tells us 然後祂看著你,叫你過來,你說:『不!』 what we can think about and what we cannot think about. Do you know those commands? And 你看這叫人毛骨悚然的又卑鄙的「罪」 何等的粗俗、墮落的「罪」! are you practicing them? The Bible tells us what we ought to watch and we should not watch. 這不是你玩的起的東西,就像我剛說的: 『牠是獸,伏在門外,牠渴慕你。』(創4:7/彼前5:8 ) Do you know those commands? Do you care? Are you practicing them? 罪人的惡行,就是對榮耀的上帝, 公開的,直言不諱,怒目以對,握拳相向 The Bible tells us—now, listen to me—the Bible tells us what we can wear and not wear. 現在,這裡寫得很清楚,我們清楚的明白 聖經已跟我們說過信徒會犯罪 You say, "Oh boy, here he goes." No, listen 但這裡有個很大的差別,差別在於: 信徒會犯罪,但會悔改,並邁向更聖潔的一步 to me. I'm not talking about defining every last----crossing every T, dotting every 被主所管教,但卻是進入更聖潔的生命。 而不是鐵了心繼續生活在罪中,成為一種生活方式 I, that you can't wear this. It is telling us this. Whatever 第5節(約壹3章):你們知道主曾顯現, 是要除掉人的罪;在他並沒有罪。 you put on your body better be decent. It better be decent and it ought to enhance the 主曾顯現是要除掉人的罪 就是很多人愛慕不已,愛慕的罪 beauty God's already given you. I look around today 第6節(約壹3章):凡住在他裡面的,就不犯罪; 凡犯罪的,是未曾看見他,也未曾認識他。 and see what people are wearing, and it reminds me of the Communist countries I've preached 再次的,他是在講生活的方式,活在罪中 小子們,要確定沒讓別人欺騙你 in right after their liberation. One thing about a communist country, the communists 我再跟你講,年輕人(小子們)、大人, 要確定沒讓任何人欺騙你 come in Eastern Europe filled with all these little brick roads and beautiful little 要確定牧師沒有欺騙你 要確定媽媽沒有欺騙你 stone houses and everything. The communists come in 要確定媽媽沒有欺騙你 也要確定沒被「善意的」不屬靈的基督徒欺騙 and tear it all down, put in pavement and these ugly concrete blocks, and make everybody—they 他說:小子們哪,不要被人誘惑(欺騙),行義的才是義人, 正如主是義的一樣。(約壹3:7) take beauty and destroy it. Look at fashion today. Look at it. It's not conformed to 犯罪的是屬魔鬼,因為魔鬼從起初就犯罪。(約壹3:8a) the will of God. God wants His people to be beautiful. 你繼續生活在罪中,成為一種生活方式 你喜愛那些你可以轉離的事物嗎? It's a God that also means modest and decent. But 我的朋友,你是屬魔鬼的。 He wants them beautiful. He wants them full of life, full of color. He wants them to be 現在我們翻到第5章的第12節(約翰壹書) 這是最後一個測試,還有很多,但我們今晚時間不夠 a beautiful people, but what do we see? Grunge, (約壹5:12)人有了神的兒子就有生命,沒有神的兒子就沒有生命。 dressed in black, hanging over like this. I mean, 我們唯一的盼望就是建立耶穌身上。耶穌。 你知道問種問題是很詭異的 it's unbelievable. In a way, I think it's really, really good because, I mean, a man 在美國 - 在美國基督教,我們這樣相信:『你可做基督徒, 但耶穌並不需要成為你的生命的全部。』 who's godly no longer will have much temptation. The girls 你愛耶穌嗎?你最常想的是什麼? are trying to look as ugly as possible. I mean, 我認識一些熱愛事奉更勝於愛耶穌的人 我也認識一些熱愛聖經更勝於愛耶穌的人 that's not what God wants. Let me just—I know I'm kind of—I don't 你最常想的是什麼?因為那就你的最愛。 have much time to preach to you, so I'm going to use 現在我必須停下來,矯正一些事情 a shotgun approach here. Girls and guys, let me give you a thing that my wife uses, and 這裡有一些在掙扎中的信徒 必須清楚瞭解一些事 it's really, really good. It's this. If your 我們不是在講「完全無罪的狀態」,也不是在講: 『如果你是真基督徒,你就永遠會先想到基督。』 clothing is a frame for your face, it's of God. If your 也不是在講:『如果你是真基督徒,你就總是會行公義。』 再次,我們是在講:『這是一種生活方式跟奮鬥掙扎。』 clothing brings attention to your face from which the glory of God should be shining, 我跟我媽講:『媽,最能夠證明妳是基督徒的, 就是你依然在上帝的話中,而上帝又指證你的罪。』 it's of God. If your clothing is a frame for your body, 你們當中,有些需要聽的是這個單純的事實: 『你掙扎,你知道自己不夠愛祂,這就是信徒的記號。』 it is sensual and God hates it.16 Now, I know they're kind of pretty broad 單純的事實是:『當你檢視自己的生命,使你困擾,因這不像 你想要達成的聖潔與公義,這就是你認識祂的記號。』 guidelines, but there they are. It doesn't mean you 我今天再描述的是:是那個習慣活在罪中的那個人 貪戀世界跟那一切的事情 have to dress like a Puritan and put buckles on your shoes or anything like that, but those 或者是現在正往那方向「滑」的 are the guidelines. Right there. 或者是那些會說:『是阿,耶穌就是我生命中的小裝飾品。』的那一種 Righteousness. And why am I saying this? Because the Bible touches every aspect of our lives. 警戒的ˊ訊息是針對那個人說的 There's something in there for every area of our life, and what we need to do is discover 你知道,我常聽到今日的傳道人這樣傳道: 『老兄 !你全都有了...』 what that is and conform our lives to it. And you 我聽他們這樣邀請:『老兄 !你全都有了。 你有美滿幸福的家庭,有健康,有好工作,等等... say, "Oh, what a burden." You're lost, because the 你只缺一件事情,你只缺耶穌。』我只想嘔吐! Bible says the commandments of God for a Christian are not a burden; they're a joy. They're 我的朋友,那擁有聖子的就有生命,沒有聖子什麼都沒有!(約壹5:12) a joy. 你所有的財富,你所有的健康、你所有的人際關係, 你所擁有的一切都是糞土!(腓3:8) Verse 3 of chapter 3. Everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as 如果耶穌不是你的主人、你的救主、你生命的熱情。 (那你所擁有的一切都是糞土) He is pure. Now, look at this. What is it talking 祂不是裝飾品,不是你用來裝飾你「美滿的」生命,祂就是生命本身! about? The hope for the second coming of Jesus Christ. Everybody now reading these Left Behind 這就是為什麼祂會說:『你要吃我的肉、你要喝我的血。』 (約6:54)他在說什麼? books—the only thing left behind in the Left 祂不是個裝飾品,祂就是生命最根本的源頭! 祂是你的(生命)嗎?是你的嗎?我們一同禱告: Behind series was the Bible. But everybody's excited. You know----"I believe in the 阿爸,我們因你愛子的名來到您的面前。 Second Coming." "I believe Jesus is going to 主阿,我祈求,親愛的主, 懇求您在您所要拯救並改變的人的心裡動工, come." "I believe in all this stuff." Okay, we'll see 有些原本正在「滑」向世界的 這訊息警戒他們,並使她們回轉歸正 whether you believe it or not, because it says in verse 3, Everyone who has this hope—what 那些自以為有得救的,顯出他們不是得救的 does he do?—purifies himself, just as he is pure. 而,那些正在努力奮鬥掙扎中的(基督徒) 使他們明白這就是信徒的確據 Now, here's something Christian. It's just going to blow your mind. You know, we 上帝阿,求您作工,成就我們想都沒有想過的大事 奉耶穌基督的名,阿們。 are told to purify ourselves, and some of you guys need to hear this who are really, really theological. Not only has God sanctified us in Christ; he calls us to strive to be holy. He calls us to purify ourselves. Let me ask you a question. Could I sit down with you right now and you talk to me—we're all alone—you talk to me about the ways in which you are seeking to purify yourself? Can you? Going into the book of Hebrews, could you sit down with me right now and we could open it up, and I say, "Just share with me how this affects your life." Could you sit down with me right now and explain to me the ways in which you're striving after holiness? Do you see? Do you see? This Bible is not poetry. It's not just little maxims that are cute. It is your life. It is your life. Everyone who has this hope—that hopes in Him—how do we know that we really hope in Him? Because we're seeking to make ourselves pure. We're seeking—we're striving after holiness. We're striving after holiness. We really are. Are you striving after holiness? My mom—she's almost 77, and she raised most of us kids by herself because my dad died. Tough lady. She's Croatian. Her parents came over through Ellis Island. She went through the depression. She's a tough lady. She's from Detroit. It makes her mean. She'll sit there sometimes----I'll be over there. I'll go over to her house, pass by there before I go to the office in the morning, she'll be over the Word. I'll look up at her and she'll just be broken. She was saved when she was ten. She'll look up at me with tears in her eyes and say, "I am just so unholy. I am just—I just found—look at this verse. God's telling me my mouth, my tongue—I spoke out of turn the other night. I've got to go back and ask my sister to forgive me." I'm going, "Oh, mom." She says, "Sometime I don't even think I'm saved."17 I said, "Mom, this is the evidence that you are." All these years of walking with Christ and yet, still there, striving to be holy. Yes, resting in the finished work of Christ, yes, but striving to be holy, to be righteous. Everyone who has this hope is going to do that. Now, he says, verse 4, Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness. What does that mean? I'll tell you what it means. He's trying to show you how horrible sin is, because we really don't get it. I love what Watson says in A BODY OF DIVINITY. He's always saying this, he goes, "You have not sinned against an inferior prince. You've not sinned against a small mayor from a small village. You have sinned against the Lord of Glory, the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords. You know not what you've done. " Imagine this. Here stands God on the day of creation. He looks at stars that could swallow up a thousand of our suns. He looks at them and He says, "All you stars, move yourself to this place and start in this order and move in a circle, and move exactly as I tell you until I give you another word." And they all obey him. He says, "Planets, pick yourself up and whirl. Make this formation at My command until I give you another word." He looks at mountains and he says, "Be lifted up," and they obey Him. He tells valleys, "Be cast down," and they obey Him. He looks at the sea and says, "You will come this far," and the sea obeys, and then He looks at you and says, "Come." And you go, "No!" Look at the horrid, wretchedness of sin, the vulgarity, the prostitution of sin. It is a horrid thing, not something to be trifled with. As I said, it is a beast, and it is waiting at the door, and its desire is to have you. And anyone who practices sin practices outright, open, clenched-fisted rebellion against the Lord of Glory. Now, it's here. We all realize that the Bible's already taught us that believers will sin, but there is a difference between a believer who sins, confesses their sin, and going on to greater holy, being disciplined of the Lord but going on to greater holiness, and someone who just out and out practices sin as a habitual lifestyle. Verse 5. You know that He appeared in order to take away sins; and in Him there is no sin. He appeared to take away the very sin that many people relish and love. Verse 6. No one who abides in Him sins; no one who sins has seen Him or knows Him. Again, it's talking about a style of life, of practicing sin. Little children, make sure no one deceives you. Now, I'm telling you this. Little children, adults, make sure no one deceives you. Make sure some pastor doesn't deceive you, make sure your momma doesn't deceive you, your dad doesn't deceive you, or some well-meaning carnal Christian does not deceive you. He says, Little children, make sure no one deceives you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous; the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. You practice sin as a habitual lifestyle? You love what you can get away with? My friend, you're of the devil.18 Now, let's go back to verse 12 of the final chapter, chapter 5. The last test. There's many more, but we don't have time this evening. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus. Jesus. You know, it's almost absurd to ask this question. We've actually come to believe in American Christianity that you can be Christian and Jesus not be all the world to you. Do you love Jesus? What do you think about most? What do you think about most? I know men who love the ministry more than they love Jesus. I know men who love the Bible more than they love Jesus. What do you think about most? Because that's what you love. Now, my dear friend, listen to me. I've got to make a stop here, correct a few things. There are some struggling believers here tonight that need to realize something. Again, we are not talking about sinless perfection. We are not saying that, if you're a true Christian, Christ will always be at the forefront of your thoughts. We're not saying, if you're a true Christian, you are always going to be practicing righteousness. Again, what we're talking about is a style of life and a struggle. I tell my mother, "Mom, the greatest evidence that you're a Christian is the fact that right now you're in the Word and God's pointing out to you your sin." The mere fact some of you need to hear this. The mere fact that you struggle with the fact that you don't love Him enough is evidence that you're a believer. The mere fact that you look at your own life and you realize you're not as holy or righteous as you want to be and it bothers you is evidence that you've come to know him. What I'm preaching against tonight is the person who lives in habitual sin, who loves the world and all these different things, or a person sliding in that direction, or a person who just—"Yes, Jesus is a little accessory onto my life." The warning is for that person. You know, I hear these preachers today and they'll preach and they'll go, "Man, you've got it all." I've heard them give this kind of invitation. "Man, you've got it all. You've got a wonderful, beautiful family; you've got your health; you've got a wonderful job and all these things. You just lack one more thing to make your life complete. You lack Jesus." Makes me want to vomit. My friend, He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son has nothing. All your wealth, all your health, all your relations, everything you have is dung if Jesus is not Lord and Savior and Passion of your life. He's not an accessory that you add on to an already great life. He is Life. That's why He meant, you know, You drink my blood, you eat my flesh. What was He talking about? He's not some accessory. He's the very source of your life. Is he yours? Is he yours? Let's pray. Father, we come before You in the name of Your Son. And, Lord, this has been long and hard, but I felt a measure of grace in it, Lord, and I pray, I pray, dear Lord, that You would work in the hearts of people that You would save, that You would convert; and that, Lord, even some of Your people who may have been sliding into the things of the world, that this has been used as discipline to turn them; to others, Lord, who believe themselves saved, that this has been used to show them they are not saved; and to struggling believers, that it has been used to show them19 that assuredly they are believers. God, use Your Word to do many more things than what we could ever think or believe. In Jesus' name. Amen.
