I could do this. - I mean, I'm a college student, so I'm a huge fan of ramen. - It's just a block, right, but this block, it has so many possibilities. - It looks like ramen. Oh! Wait a second. Is this the spicy thing, the Korean spicy noodle challenge thing? - (host) Today's gonna be a little bit different. You're gonna try the Fire Noodle Challenge. - Oh! Okay. - I'm always up for a challenge. - I love spicy ramen. Like, I love anything that just adds that extra kick that makes your mouth just burn! - I'm nervous 'cause I'm not good with spicy food at all. - Awww, no! Okay, you know what? I am part Korean. It's built into my system. I can handle pretty spicy things. - (host) The challenge is to eat a whole bowl without stopping for water or milk. But full disclosure: this is extremely spicy, so feel free to go at your own risk. - D'ah. - If something needs a disclaimer, it's gonna end up hurting me. - At my own risk? (dismissively) Like it's gonna be that bad. - I really don't like spicy things, but I'm not a quitter! - It doesn't smell, like, super spicy and regretful, so, oh man, this is gonna be crazy! - Okay! Mm! Spicy. Oh my god. (coughing) (hoarsely) How do people do this? - It is already spicy and I put it in for, like, one second. It tastes good, but it's super spicy. - It's not that spicy, actually. (chuckling) I thought it was gonna be burning, but... it's kind of burning. It's pretty burning. The aftertaste burns. - (muffled) This isn't hot. That was supposed to be hot? - It's really good. It's really good ramen. I'd say like, out of anything, my lips burn the most. And I'm starting to sweat a little bit. - Okay, it's not bad. I'm just picturing SpaghettiOs in my mind. It looks like long SpaghettiOs. Oh-ho! It tastes like death though. - (muffled) It's really not that hot. I don't know why this is a challenge. (exhaling) (sucking in air) - Oh my god. (laughing) - Oh my god! My throat. (laughing) - (exhaling) Air feels good, but it also burns. - I don't know how I'm still eating it. Like, I can't feel my mouth anymore. Just the spice is taking over my taste buds right now. - It tastes really good, but holy shit, does it burn! I'm starting to get the runny nose now. Like, all the symptoms are happening. - Sinuses, very clear right now. I just feel like my stomach is not agreeing with this. (sniffles) It's like, "Stop putting this into your body." - (coughing) God! (coughing) I'm gonna start crying. My ears hurt. (groans) (exhaling) I can't do it. I'm out, I'm out. (coughing) - (sucking in air) Oh my god! Okay, I tap out. Oh. (slurring) That was pretty hot. - It's not the worst. - Do you guys have Sriracha or something so I can actually make this a little hotter? - My mouth is burning now. I need more noodles. (sniffles) Just gotta find my inner peace. - I'm so close, and I hate it, but now it's like killing me, but like-- Look it! There's like-- I'm halfway done. - Okay. (sucking in air) (exhaling) I refuse to quit. I don't refuse to cry at this point. (groaning) - Okay, I'm tapping out. It's super spicy, okay? (sharp breath) - Oh god, I don't know if I can do this anymore. It's, like, killing me. Soon my tears are gonna start coming out as spicy ramen. Oh god! My stomach hates this. I feel like I'm gonna explode. (sniffles) I'm done. I can't do it. (groans) - (negatively) Mm-mm. (positively) Mm. - (exhaling) My throat hurts, but it's okay. (scraping bowl) Because I'm gonna do it. (slurping) - I feel like I can breathe fire now. (scraping bowl) - It's the easy bite. Easy. I'm gonna be a true champion right now, and I'm just gonna finish this. - (host) Congrats! You just completed the Fire Noodle Challenge. - That wasn't a challenge. It was literally breakfast for me! - Oh my god, it wasn't worth it! - Hoo! (coughing) I feel horrible, but the same time really good. - Woo! My nose is a little watery. (sniffling) And my eyes hurt a little bit. But for the most part, my tongue's on fire. - (host) These are Samyang ramen noodles, which are very popular in Korea because they're insanely spicy. - Oh yeah, I can tell. Oh my god, my lips are burning, my tongue's burning. - (slurring) It's probably one of the hottest things I've eaten before. I can't talk-- oh my god! (laughs) - I don't know how people finish the entire thing 'cause it is super spicy. - I feel like some people, they get really tolerant to heat so they always have to have more and more and more. So I can see why people would eat this. - (host) A lot of people don't eat this as a challenge. They eat it regularly, just like you might eat ramen on a cold day. - They're really good, but oh my god. To eat all of it would be suicide. - Every once in a while, I can see myself eating them. Especially the noodles themselves, like, the noodles are ten times better than any noodle packet you can get here. - I'm so impressed with everyone that eats the stuff that we eat on YouTube. It's like, "Oh man, watch us try to survive," and everyone else is like, "Yeah, no, that's lunch for us." - (host) Finally, do you recommend people try the Fire Noodle Challenge? - I say yes. It's kinda cool. - Yes. - Yeah, 'cause it's not a challenge. It's breakfast. - Never. I wouldn't want to put anyone through this. - If you like spicy things, go for it. - Yeah, if you're good with spice, do it. - Yes, definitely. I think they're really good, but I mean, I want to see if people can actually do it. - I'm always for trying as much as possible, and I think you should put yourself through the pain. It wasn't worth it while I was doing it, but now that I don't have to do it anymore, it's worth it. - Thank you so much for watching this episode and, of course, just supporting us in general. It means so much. - I challenge YOU to subscribe. - What food should we eat next? Let us know in the comments. - Oh, that's never tasted so good.
