It happens to everyone. Maybe you're having a good day with friends, you have an accident, your skis pop off, but you're on a really really steep hill and it's hard to get them back on. So, the first thing you're going to want to do is put your two skis perpendicular to the mountain so they don't run away from you. A quick word of note, sometimes when you're skiing the snow can get really really sticky and it can gather in your bindings or on the bottom of your ski boot and that makes it really hard to step in to your bindings. So before you try to put your skis back on, make sure you clean out your bindings with your hand, and then maybe take your hand or your ski pole and dig those big chunks of snow off the bottom of your ski boot. And then you're going to want to build a platform underneath the downhill ski. And, that'll involve digging the edge in, and then kind of building a flat area so it stays put. Once you have that downhill ski solidly into the mountain, you're going to want to step over it, click your toe in, and then stomp into your binding. Once you have your bottom ski on you can kind of dig into the side of the hill to make sure you have a good solid platform still and that's when you can focus on putting on the uphill ski. Click into your binding. You're still perpendicular to the mountain so you can grab your poles, get your skis pointed downhill, and you're ready to go. I hope you found these tips helpful, and if you did, give us a thumbs up. For more ski related videos, click on one of the links at the end.
