I'm at the BuzzFeed studio today to

propose to my girlfriend of four years.

She thinks she's coming here so that we can

draw each other's favorite memories.

(lighthearted music)

- I think we really fooled her.

(laughter)

- We plan custom marriage proposals

and we got together with Stephen today to

bring his very special and unique memory to life.

- I am very, very nervous.

I've been waiting a long time for this,

so I'm excited.

- We've known each other for our whole lives, actually.

We've been family friends forever.

I definitely had a crush on him for a very long time.

I'm the like (imitates chirping).

- I'm the guy of few words, so.

- Yeah.

- She's the one that talks all day.

- I'll just be curious to see what he holds

special to him from our past time together.

It was your last year of college,

you were finishing up finals

and I took you to the beach,

and you had really dark blue circles

under your eyes and you were broken out all over.

- Draw some pimples on there. (laughter)

- Oh, what is happening? (laughter)

- Alright, I don't know what color to start.

- Well, my most memorable moment with you,

I would have to say is actually

when we first started dating.

I remember asking you if you wanted to go for a walk.

This is the part of the story that I want you to draw.

- Okay.

- Behind my condo, there's a path.

And there's grass on either side

and trees and bushes and flowers.

We brought Chipotle with us,

and we came to this spot.

It's a memorable spot.

At this spot, there was a wooden trellis

and there was a bench

and trees and flowers (laughs nervously).

Uh, we came to this bench.

- Oh, no way.

Okay (laughs nervously).

- And, we were sitting at this bench.

- Uh huh.

- And, I think you were resting

your head on my shoulder,

and you remember what you had?

- I had a spoon.

- You, for whatever reason, I still don't know

why you did this, but you just started

freaking out at this spoon.

Just totally freaking out, yelling at it,

and you just like chucked it.

This was the moment when I knew

there was something a little bit different about you,

something a little crazy,

but I was digging it.

I actually had a spoon engraved.

- (laughs nervously) What?

- Just to remember this moment by.

- Jessica? - [Jessica] Oh, mercy.

- Yes?

- You are the most amazing person I know,

and I cherish every moment that I have with you,

and I really want for us to be together

for the rest of our lives.

And, I would be honored if you would

make me the happiest man alive,

and if you would be my wife.

Will,

will you marry me, Jessica?

(heartbeat)

- Yes.

(giggling) Oh man, yes! - [Stephen] Yes?

And it fits!

- And it fits!

(cheering)

- I'm nervous.

- I know you are.

- I have one more surprise for you.

- How is there one more surprise than this?

- Well, it's all the people coming down the stairs.

- No way!

What?

- [Stephen] I love you.

- [Jessica] I love you so much.

My knees are shaking like crazy.

(laughter)

Now my jaw's going.

- Maybe it should be a little smaller,

for like a baby spoon.
