The search is over for David Letterman's Late Show successor. After the long-standing host
announced his plans to retire, CBS wasted no time in finding his replacement — Stephen
Colbert. The host, writer, and executive producer of The Colbert Report has signed a five-year
deal and will take over for Letterman in 2015. "Simply being a guest on David Letterman's
show has been a highlight of my career," Colbert said in a statement. "I'm thrilled and grateful
that CBS chose me. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go grind a gap in my front teeth."
