  • Hey, guys. This is Max Tapper again for Howcast. Today, I'm going to show you how to do one

  • of my favorite exercises, the pull-up. There's nothing, nothing, nothing more effective at

  • building an awesome back than a pull-up. I'm going to show you how to do it.

  • First tip is, use your hands as a hook. You're going to lock your hand onto the hook and

  • not even think about squeezing with your forearm. When you do that, you put the emphasis on

  • your forearm and your bicep, and we want to keep it on your lats. Here it is. We're up

  • in our pull-up. Our goal now is to pull from our lats like digging our elbows into the

  • side of our body. Nose. Slow, all the way down. Back up. Nice and controlled. Very important

  • is the speed that you're using. Nice control.

  • This is one of my favorite exercises. When it comes to the back, this is always the one

  • I love to start with, because it's more difficult than anything else you're going to do for

  • your back anyway. Master your body weight by doing a pull-up, and your back will love

  • you. You'll develop the biggest muscles, the most definition you possible can by doing

  • this one simple thing.

  • Listen, anytime you see something you can do a pull-up on, jump out there and do it.

  • I guarantee it'll end up with better results in your back. Get out there, and try these.

  • Trust me. Pull-ups will result in a much stronger back, a much stronger core, a much stronger

  • body, totally. Get out there, have fun, and be safe.
