The part I just did was actually two riffs that we can play at the same time, so on two guitars. Or that we can play on our own. It's a bit less easy, but anyway it works! So I'm going to show you the first riff, and the second. Everything in detail! Let's get started! The riff is composed of 8 quavers. Which are eight movements which will come back all the time. It goes like this. Let's start with the first four notes. So 2nd fret of the E string, 4th of the A string, 2nd of the D, and 4th of the D again. So 2, 4, 2, 4. Be careful here, we play on the same string. 2 of E, 4 of A, 2 of D, 4 of D. OK, so the four following notes - I'll go from the start 1, 2, 3, 4 We go back down, 1, 2, 3, 4 So I'll go again and I'll detail it after. So I go downwards, on the 2nd fret of D, 4th fret of A, 2nd, and 4th fret of A again! Once again from the top. What's difficult here, is that there are extentions that you need to keep, so you need to practice it very slowly. And try to see to it that the weight one one finger goes towards the other. Because if the weight of the finger goes away, it makes little notes like the Chapelet method, it's not great. So keep the pressure, it like connected vessels. One finger arrives when the other leaves. You run that in a loop as long as you want, let's say. And then, to diversify, you can wander, and do the same riff starting from the 2nd fret of A. OK, I'll do the two in a row. Here, it's all nice, everybody's happy. And let's change! And we go back. Awesome! So for the 2nd guitar, the riff... is played like this. i.e, I do a little barred chord with the index, on the 2nd and 2nd fret of the last two strings. Once I am placed like this, I will move from the 2nd fret to the 4th fret, and next to the 5th fret. So always with this index barring the last two string. Concerning the rythmic placing, when the first guitar was doing the basse riff, with 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 the second guitar riff will be placed on the 1st and 4th quavers, i.e, (1), 2, 3, (4), 5, 6, 7, 8, (1), 2, 3, (4), 5, 6, 7, 8, So I'll do again, the same thing, the second part, with the basse part too, so you can see the placing.
