Hall of Famer Jim Brown and Kobe Bryant have gotten into a little bit of a test
and it all kinda started when Jim Brown
made comments about Kobe being born in Italy so let me read you exactly what he
said
Kobe was confused about culture because he was raised in
Italy not the US and that if he were to organize our athletes today
as he did in 1967 to discuss Mohammed Elise conscientious objection to the
Vietnam War
Kobe would not be invited so that's how we Chris for writing about what Jim
Brown has said yeah
in an interview and net so pretty serious this a
Kobe I now I like Jim Brown's activism
I the probably going a little too far in a statement soco be going to strike back
worries yet so kobe took to Twitter because of course anytime there's any
type of argument
a public figure has to write something on Twitter he said a global
african-american
is an inferior shade to American african-americans
whom that doesn't sound very mandela or doctor king sir
like area the serbs will be respectful yet ok Jim Brown
a but maybe a measure he meant it
somebody at least at it okay are so now this led to a larger issue
and of course Stephen a Smith pass the way
yes so Stephen a Smith a you know he's the coast to take
a first take he said black conservatives are considered pariahs in our
ostracized in our communities and it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever
so let's stop there i think thats uninteresting take because oftentimes we
will have
up you know clips from Fox News where they will have a token black man on
there is usually a token conservative black man
saying really hideous things about the black community right
and we will criticize them because oftentimes I feel like they're either
being used for their misled or misleading
so you jumpin Jack what do you think about those comments arcs a couple
things
number one I don't know that could be seen a conservative so
Stephen a Smith is taking this in a slightly different direction but number
two
like I said normally agree with jim brown and I really
the appreciate what you did with Muhammad Ali back in the day
you know I'm it was around but looking back at what he did
I and a I I don't like that distinction between
guys who grew up in Italy in here it is it's as a piece in kobe is not black
enough
and I i don't agree with that I don't like that okay now
at the same time series will be good to use like hey you know what he makes no
sense that was the
black conservatives mmm not so much
you know I'll tell you why the South controversial like well who are you to
say
you know you know there's a wide opinion and diversity the african-american
community
well really no shit Sherlock I'm figure that out
I heard I do they all had the same a bit weaker ok all good corporate governance
billions of course they do
but that's not the issue so good african-americans have different
opinions on taxes
or on foreign policy obviously they kept me
but the problem is right now the Republican Party
has one thing that's kind of a deal breaker they don't seem to like
african-americans
okayed now so for example I'm a Turkish descent
when I was growing up all the people I know I'm not saying I represent the
whole church American community
there I would say about taxes seventy percent Republic okay
and that's it was a new jersey right now I would say
there at least 70 percent democratic and was anecdotal
you go you talk to any Muslim community in america in your fine and terms are
largely Muslim now the people I know
after them don't believe in religion anyway but says they identify themselves
as Muslim
when the republican party seems to despise all Muslims it was kind of a
deal breaker
you know you might maybe love those guys were doctors and they want to lower
taxes
but they didn't want someone who said got your taxes but I despise you
right and I'd like to wage war against every country that has people have your
dissented right so when republicans a
what civil rights all over and over and over again
and then you come and tell me why will you not being fair because there's
actually black republicans
actually if you look at the polling you look at the voting there is a lot of
them
causes that huge deal breaker ship yeah it's more about it's more about the
policy the republicans try to pass
as opposed to you know we don't want black people to have differences of
opinion
and that's what up Stephen Smith seems to believe you know he continues on he
says
this is a problem that exists within our community because you are
because you are from our community everybody believes that everybody is
supposed to be identical to one another
and we can't display or exercise any kind of versatility
alright or range in our talking or thinking it's a problem
that we have to deal with so he does things like
all were not tolerant differences of opinion but again
if you are supporting a party that continuously tried the past policy that
goes against your best interest
yeah members under community are gonna criticize you for that you gotta look
out for your best interest
we think about all the different things that republicans upset off-the-cuff
about how you need to drug test minorities because they're probably
doing drugs if they're on welfare
and you want to give them any public assistance if they're doing drugs that's
just one example so many different things that they've said in the past
so that's why they get ostracized that's why they get criticized
can't hook it's even a smoke this bowl grade
and it seems to me like now I'm speculating but it seems to me you he
would like lower taxes
and whatever price it takes to get those lower taxes okay
so again at the gay community youth in the gay community is their wide-ranging
appeal of course they do
but they don't like it when you say they're on natural in a shouldn't have
the rights as straight americans have it senator father party concept to
understand
I think Stephen a Smith is being purposely dance on that
