  • The funny thing about squirting is scientists have spent like a century arguing over the

  • most basic ass question: “So uh...what...is it?”

  • Oh hi babes! Let’s talk about squirting! Before we jump in, I’m going to be using

  • male" and "femalein this video for the sake of simplicity. Please understand that

  • not all men have penises, not all women have vaginas, and genitals come on a huge spectrum

  • - these are simply the common terms.

  • First of all, there’s a difference between squirting and female ejaculation. Female ejaculation

  • is a teaspoon or two….squirting is like...

  • Or maybe a cup, there's a range! The anatomy

  • is really important to understanding what’s going on here. The vulva (the outside) has

  • 3 holes. There's the pee hole (the urethra), the vagina (star of the show, babies, penises,

  • whatever, lots of stuff comes in and out of there), and also the anus. The sensitive little

  • orgasm bump known as the clitoris sits at the top, above the urethra. Usually it’s

  • covered by a little hood, but when you get turned on, it peeks out to say "hey!" The

  • clitoris as you see it is really the tip of an enormous iceberg. The clitoral organ extends

  • inside the body and it wraps around the vagina and the pee tube. Scientists call this the

  • CLITORAL URETHRAL COMPLEX. But others call it the G-Spot...cause it’s easier to say...probably.

  • The clitoral urethral complex is where the vagina, the pee tube, and the internal clitoris

  • all meet. This is why G-Spot stimulation might feel good but also likeam I gonna pee

  • on you right now?”

  • The pee tube, which leads to the bladder, is surrounded by paraurethral glands. When

  • theyre stimulated, these glands can actually produce liquid! And that liquid comes out of 2 tiny ducts

  • on each side of the urethra. For some people, the glands are very well developed. Like,

  • those are some Skene's girl! For others, not so much - in fact, some people don’t even

  • have them. The fluid that's coming out of the glands is very similar to male ejaculate,

  • just without the sperm (because that would be...woah).

  • So what about squirting? Half cup? A full cup? 8 CUPS? That would be your whole day's

  • worth - impressive.

  • A new study looked at women who squirt and found that their bladder was filling up while

  • they were getting turned on, and after they came it was magically empty. Huh, wonder where

  • it went? The fluid’s composition is similar to pee. It's diluted and it has

  • some of that prostate fluid in it as well. It's easy to see why people confuse the two!

  • It's also to see why porn actresses would just drink 5 gallons of water before shooting

  • a squirting scene. Who can tell the difference?!

  • Speaking of porn - squirting is the 7th most searched term on a major porn site. What is

  • it about squirting that has us so fascinated? Obviously part of it is that it can feel really

  • good, and people just like things that feel good. Apparently. People may also enjoy the

  • physical, tangible evidence that their partner really liked that. Part of our fascination

  • is the fact that it’s an example of female sexual response looking a lot like male sexual

  • response. It’s so much more comfortable to familiar to us than this idea that someone

  • orgasms with their clitoris but you can’t see it and they might be able to fake it and

  • what?? This is one of the reasons why I think hyping female ejaculation up too much could

  • be a harmful distraction. Getting female bodies to duplicate the male sexual response cycle

  • shouldn't be a “cool sexual trickwe have to learn or are pressured to do. Not everyone

  • can do it! And not everyone experiences pleasure or orgasm this way.

  • That said, it’s not exactly UNCOMMON either. About 40% of women report this happening to

  • them in their lifetime and it usually comes out of nowhere. Woah! My body has never done

  • that before, what is going on?? People’s reactions to it really vary. Maybe you squirt

  • and it’s hot and exciting to you, maybe it’s embarrassing and keeps you from enjoying

  • yourself. Nobody wants to feel like theyre not normal right? But it is normal! So if

  • this is something your body does sometimes, there’s no reason to be ashamed. If your

  • worry is interfering with your sex life, talk to your partner about it, let them know what's

  • up and maybe lay out a towel or two so that you can let go and enjoy yourself.

  • We know this is a thing, some people do it, some people don't, no big deal either way.

  • I'll see ya next time!
