So let's go and talk about those vacation packages

Everybody wants to travel, everybody loves to travel, everybody wants to travel the world

so when you go on a shopping spree, that means when you want to splurge, you want to spend a lot of money

on your shopping, we say that you shop until you drop

this means that you shop as much as you can, spend as much as you can, carry as much as you can

until you can't shop anymore and whether you're shopping for clothes, smartphones, laptops, perfume, alcohol

you want to do some shopping around and shopping around means that you want to compare prices

between one store and another

now some people may be shopaholics

you might know the word alcoholic, somebody who is addicted to alcohol

but a shopaholic is somebody who can't stop shopping

and I hear stories from my students that shopaholics do exist

some people who spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars on shopping

and when they get their credit card bill, they're like, "oh my God" , they get a shopping hangover

now the opposite to a shopaholic would be someone who's a bargain hunter

they're a little bit more tight with their money which means that they are spending their money the best way possible

if you don't want to spend any money, of course you can go window shopping

this just means that you're looking

another great vacation package is a historical vacation package that's for all of you people

who are very curious and want to know more about world history, you wanna see it up close

when people go and see megalithic structures like the pyramids, something like that can be very breathtaking

you go to Machu Picchu and it's just stunning

stunning or when you feel stunned means that you feel very very amazed

your mind stops in amazement

now many people, when they go to these historical places find it very intriguing

how the heck did they build those things thousands of years ago?

intriguing means that it stimulates your curiosity

so intriguing is very curious

you want to know more and a more informal way of saying that is

things that make you go hmmm

you don't know how those things were built, but you want to investigate more

things that make you go hmmm

next we have adventure vacations

this is for people who want to take a walk on the wild side

to take a walk on the wild side means that normally in your day-to-day living you do boring and monotonous things

they're repetitive, it's a routine

so when you take a walk on the wild side, you step out of that routine and you do something radically different

and there is no better way to do that than on an adventure or sports vacation

OK our last one is getaway vacations

and get away means exactly that

it's a way for people to escape from their stressful lives

from the long winter months so that they can go somewhere nice and chill out

and to chill out means to relax, so it's a relaxing vacation quite often at the beach

warm weather, take a dip in the ocean and just chill out

during a get away vacation, a lot of people can put their feet up

to put your feet up means exactly that

it means sit down and put your feet up so that you can relax
