  • Oh, this is nice. Peaceful.

  • (both) Oh!

  • -Little rewind action. -We're in this!

  • I'm in this.

  • I'm in this! I'm in this!

  • -We were in this video for .05 seconds. -Yeah.

  • Let's do this.

  • I've seen it. I think everybody's seen this video.

  • They had e-mailed me about doing the plane scene

  • and that was an e-mail I didn't write back to! (laughs)

  • -Horse heads. -(sings) Dancin' with the horse heads.

  • -I know you want it. -I did a parody of that!

  • I know you want it.

  • I came here to live life

  • Like nobody was watchin'!

  • Bethany!

  • -Oh! -Blurred lines...

  • Blurred lines...

  • -There's Jenna. -She's so awesome.

  • Blurred lines...

  • (laughs)

  • I-I-I'm a...

  • I-I-I'm a...

  • Wait, how did we ever get talked into wearing that?

  • -We're up all night to get lucky -And Jimmy Fallon?

  • I'll take it, but okay. And there I am!

  • Oh my god! No, make it stop.

  • Is that Tyler?

  • -I'm up all night to get lucky. -Good god.

  • -Let's stop talkin' and do-- -Oh my god, the camel toe lady!

  • Imagine Prancercise with the violin?

  • So I didn't know who she was.

  • Mother father gentleman!

  • -(Psy singing in Korean) -Oh yeah!

  • There I am!

  • Dude, it was so worth being there for six hours.

  • (Gentleman blends into the Harlem Shake)

  • There's so much going on right now!

  • -Do the Harlem Shake. -We've all heard enough of this.

  • -(Harlem Shake continues) -Oh! There's my two second cameo.

  • -It's like reacting to every viral-- -There we are!

  • Oh! We missed it!

  • -Me love rewind! Om nom nom nom! -Okay, random Cookie Monster.

  • Cookie Monster made the rewind video and I didn't.

  • You want to change the world?

  • You're a goat!

  • -You can do that! -(breaks into laughter)

  • Here we go back...

  • This is the moment...

  • -Tonight is the night... -That goat was the best thing ever!

  • Put your hands up...

  • -Like the ceiling can't hold us... -Jesus, the production value in this.

  • I freaking just love everyone.

  • Like the ceiling can't hold us...

  • Oh, there's more. I never made it this far.

  • And last but not least...

  • Is that Felix?

  • PewDiePie. Unreal.

  • -Oh, whats up, bro? What's up, bro? -He's the sweetest.

  • -And he's Swedish. -Oooh.

  • Well that was fun.

  • Until 2014.

  • (Finebros) So what are your thoughts over all about

  • the YouTube Rewind video this year?

  • I thought it was good. Um, I have new found appreciation

  • for something like that because I was there.

  • Yeah, it was great.

  • Seems like they keep stepping up their production,

  • you know what I mean?

  • It's like a journal for my life.

  • I can't think of anything off the top of my head

  • that wasn't in it, friendwise.

  • Except me.

  • There's someone missing. (clicks tongue)

  • I think it just shows how much YouTube is a part of our lives.

  • You realize, "Oh my gosh! YouTube is a big part of our culture."

  • We spent, like, three hours cutting together the coolest video

  • we could possibly send them and then we watched it!

  • Like, I don't know about you, but as I watched I was like,

  • "Are we gonna be in it? Are we gonna be in it?" Uh..oh. Alright.

  • We thought the YouTube video wasn't actually a video.

  • I like YouTube and I don't want to say anything

  • mean about them, so I think it's perfect!

  • (Finebros) When they asked you to be in it, what did you think at the time?

  • I was excited! Like, "Wow. Guess I'm still relevant."

  • I was like, "What?! No way!"

  • This is gonna be cool, like people will get to see me

  • in it and, you know, they'll probably go to my channel.

  • And then I saw the edit and I'm like,

  • "Oh. I didn't even see myself in that thing."

  • I freaked out!

  • It's like a legacy thing of now you've made it as a YouTuber.

  • You're appreciated as a part of the community.

  • They did not tell us what we were going to wear.

  • I've never been in quite that position on camera.

  • You mean by the twerking and being patted on the butt by a woman?

  • (Finebros) So have you ever been in a YouTube rewind video before?

  • No! Where do I get on board with that?

  • Never. Never.

  • I just think they forgot my e-mail address.

  • They already had one beauty guru in there, so maybe

  • they were like, "We don't want another one."

  • I was kind of in a YouTube Rewind video.

  • Uh, I was played by iJustine.

  • And I thought that was pretty cool.

  • That's almost cooler than being in the video--is being parodied.

  • That's what I could not figure out.

  • Why would they have me be Lindsey when I had

  • just seen her the night before?

  • (Finebros) When it came out last year and you saw

  • Justine playing you, did you know that was happening?

  • No! No.

  • I was like, "She's dancing with a violin...

  • I'm pretty sure that's supposed to be me."

  • I would have been happy to play myself.

  • (Finebros) Was there anything, video-wise or meme-wise,

  • or a person or YouTuber, that you feel like

  • -they missed that weren't in the video? -Yeah.

  • Shane was missing.

  • Uh, Zoella, Jacksgap...

  • Timothy was missing. I mean, just a lot of people.

  • We definitely need more musicians.

  • Gaming is somewhat underrepresented.

  • One gamer. Let's just get the guy who's getting

  • a million subscribers a fricking week.

  • They didn't include, like, any British people.

  • They have these YouTube spaces all around the world,

  • why not utilize them?

  • What a missed opportunity to include them.

  • And show that it's a world-wide community.

  • That'd be cool if they had, just like, every YouTuber in it though.

  • Impossible, but cool.

  • No, they didn't miss anything.

  • If anything, they made me kind of chilled out, just a little bit.

  • It was like, if somebody makes a soup and they just throw

  • everything from the refrigerator and just kinda like stir it around.

  • That whole video did feel like the Harlem Shake.

  • (Finebros) What would you say is something in your YouTube career,

  • or your personal life, that is the most

  • memorable thing that happened in 2013 for you?

  • Uh, I got hit up by a handful of labels to collaborate

  • with mainstream artists. So I did a collaboration

  • with Jason Derülo on his number one single.

  • And they used my version on his album. Which is so cool!

  • Interviewing One Direction.

  • We did our first original song.

  • I hit two million subscribers.

  • That is crazy because it took me a very long time to get to one million.

  • Probably my clothing line. I'm pretty excited about that.

  • And, um, I mean just my viewers all around.

  • I got to tour the world and I got to meet my fans,

  • everywhere from Japan to Australia to Russia...

  • and it was, you know, just a year of seeing that and being able

  • to meet the people that have made my channel possible.

  • I got married. I had a child.

  • I, um, lost 50 pounds. And we started our business.

  • I think you're seeing the last decade as one year.

  • -Again. -Ooh. (starts laughing)

  • I hit seven million and that was absolutely breathtaking,

  • considering that I worked at Subway a year ago. (laughs)

  • It's amazing.

  • I love Subway, but, you know... I dreamt of bigger things!

  • Bigger subs.

  • Finebros) Subs in a different way.

  • -(Finebros) From subs to subs! -Yeah, literally. Literally. (laughs)

  • Unintentional pun!

  • (Finebros) What is a problem on the YouTube platform right now

  • that you'd like to see Youtube fix in 2014?

  • Oh, man! I don't know. Uh...maybe the content ID system?!

  • And, like, dudes fricking taking down people's videos

  • because it's "copyright infringement", even though it's FAIR USE.

  • I don't like the fact that I have to log out of YouTube

  • in order to see what is popular for everyone.

  • Affiliate versus manage channel thing and how the whole

  • monetization review comes into play in 2014.

  • Your subscribers, they subscribe because they want to see more.

  • But it's not exactly set up so that they

  • really are notified when you put videos.

  • I'm subscribed to some of my own channels and they don't even show up?

  • They need to start going to subscription pages

  • instead of automatically, when you go to youtube.com,

  • starting with the "What to Watch" page.

  • A computer doesn't know what you adore more than YouTube.

  • So if you subscribe, you should be able to see that

  • as soon as you go to youtube.com!

  • Make that happen. Or at least make it an option.

  • Stop taking major celebrities and putting them inside

  • of the Comedy Award shows, so that they can promote their movies.

  • And they don't have any idea of what's even going on on YouTube.

  • Like, they don't wanna be there.

  • They don't look like they wanna be there.

  • The people who are watching them don't want them to be there.

  • And it makes the whole thing look ridiculous

  • and it makes it look like YouTube is pandering

  • to the audience that should be pandering to them.

  • Sometimes I wish YouTube would have more confidence

  • in itself as it's own--like, it's not Junior Varsity!

  • It's a different sport.

  • And it keeps trying to be like, "Oh maybe, someday, we'll be able to--"

  • No, man. You're cool! Just stick with it and you'll be fine.

  • Truth!

  • (Finebros) What is a prediction you have for YouTube as a whole

  • one year from now in 2015? Where are we?

  • Hologram.

  • -It's all gonna go to [bleep]. -(chuckles)

  • I think that--(laughs)

  • I would hope that they would take a little break on the updates.

  • There'll probably be a new layout. That's inevitable.

  • All these other mainstream people are gonna get in on it,

  • you know what I mean? It's already happening.

  • All these, like, celebrities want to be on YouTube now.

  • The normal everyday kid is gonna make videos in their basement.

  • That'll work, but it won't work as well as mainstream content.

  • YouTube in, like, the next year is probably

  • gonna push its way onto television.

  • Every time, like, there's YouTube events that go on a playlist...

  • All the people that show up, you know,

  • I think it's an amazing platform. And I think it's going

  • to keep going very well. I'm excited!

  • I just feel like somebody's going to go crazy.

  • They're gonna lose it and you're gonna watch it unfold...live.

  • There's gonna be an Amanda Bynes of YouTube.

  • (Finebros) And, finally, if you're asked to be

  • in YouTube Rewind 2014, will you do it?

  • I will not! I'm just kidding. I will absolutely do it!

  • Of course!

  • I will be there.

  • Yes! YouTube, please?

  • Yeah, invite me! (laughs)

  • That would make my day. It'd make my year.

  • I will humbly do it.

  • Yeah, if it's still cool.

  • I feel like they control magic powers...

  • -And I-- -Zooop!

  • Yeah, I just want to be cool with them still.

  • I only get passionate about this because I love it.

  • You know what I mean?

  • -Because I care about it. -Because you care. He cares.

  • I will be in,uh, any YouTube Rewind video, but I'm gonna

  • to wear increasingly less clothes every year.

  • By 2020, we'll be nude and it will be accepted.

  • -Right. -By then because the culture's...

  • ..just going down hill. So nudity will be OK in 2020.

  • -In hologram form. -Yes. Which is especially impressive.

  • Thanks for watching another episode of Epic Rap Battles of History.

  • Who won? Who's next?

  • Let us know in the comments what to react to next, yo.

  • Do you see all of these people below me?

  • They were all in this episode and you should probably subscribe to them.

  • I hope you guys had an amazing new year...and here's to 2014!

  • Alright, guys, we'll see you next time! Bye!

Oh, this is nice. Peaceful.
