As human beings we have a limited amount of willpower 我要向你們解說要如何透過四個簡單的步驟克服懶惰。身為人類,我們的意志力都是有限的, There's only so much force that we can exert ourselves on a daily basis to take action. 我們每天能夠運用的意志力就這麼多而已 The key to overcoming laziness and getting into action is motivation . 要克服懶惰以及積極行動,關鍵在於動機。 We need to gain leverage over ourselves 我們必須克服自我的任性 and as human beings we are either running away from something 我們人類總是在逃避某些事物, or tore something at all times . We are trying to avoid pain 也慣於試著避免受傷。我們試著避免痛苦事情, or to gain pleasure, we are either afraid of something 或是想獲得一些樂趣,我們要不是對於某些事物懷著恐懼 or we are hopeful for something, there's a desire 就是對於某些事物抱持著期望,有著渴望 So understanding these two forces and how you can use it to gain leverage over yourself 那麼,了解並學會如何運用這兩種力量來克服自我 is key and critical to actually overcoming laziness, 就是真正克服懶惰,向前邁進的 getting into action. So here the four simple steps 不二法門。下面是四個簡單的步驟 you may want have a pen and paper handy when you go through this exercise 你在實行的時候也許會需要用到紙跟筆 The first thing you want to do is simply ask yourself: What am I trying to avoid? 第一個步驟就是問自己: 為什麼我會想逃避? What do I not want ? Be very clear about the result and the consequence of not taking action 為什麼我會不想做? 要明白地去弄清楚逃避不去做事可能會造成的後果。 The second question you want to ask yourself is what do I want? 要問自己的第二個問題是: 我想要什麼? What is it that I am actually aiming for ? What is it that I could potentially achieve if I were to take action? If I were to move myself 我的目標是什麼? 要是我行動後可能可以達到什麼目標? 要是我激勵自己而且 and really do whatever it takes to actually get a result . What is the 願意付出所有努力以求得結果,那最好的結果會是什麼? best possible outcome? So number two : What do I want ? The third step in this process is to ask yourself 這就是第二步驟: 我想要什麼? 第三步驟則是問問你自己: What's the next step that I can take, simply the next step 接下來我可以怎麼做?只要想想接下來那個動作就好, not every step along the way but just next one 不需要把之後的每一個行動都想出來 If that means putting on your shoes,if that means just simply 可能是穿上你的鞋子,可能是去健身房 getting to the gym , if that means simply opening your computer ,and what whatever happens to be 可能是打開電腦,可能是任何事情 What's the next step I can take and take that step 想想接下來要做什麼,然後馬上付諸行動。 and fourth, repeat the whole process. Just go back to number one 第四步驟,重覆這整個過程,回到第一步驟 remember what it is you're trying to avoid . Number two, be very clear about what you can gain and what you will gain by taking action. 回想什麼是你需要避免的。第二步驟,弄清楚你行動後可能可以得到什麼。 Number three, what's the next step 第三,想想接下來能做什麼。 So after you taking the the first step previously, you go through the process again 在你採取第一步驟之後,再次實行這整個過程 What's the next step now. And you just keep doing that on a daily basis 想想接下來要做什麼。然後天天重複這一切。 everyday simply taking one step, if you're able to move one step closer to goal 每天採取一個步驟,要是你能夠每天都離目標更近一步 every single day , you will get there ,and that's the key thing to remember 你就能夠達到目標,這一點必須銘記在心。 Rome was not built in a day, and you can't eat an elephant a single bite. So simply realizing that 羅馬不是一天造成的,成就也並非一蹴可幾。必須了解目標的所在, goals and achievements take time. 以及成就是需要時間累積的。 Is very important to not getting stuck in laziness and in activity 不要被懶惰或是其他事情拖住腳步,這點十分重要。 and authurgy .And I'll give you one last hint 我再給你們最後一個提示 When we're attempting to get ourselves into action 當我們想讓自己採取行動, by either running away from something or running toward something, running 可能是逃避某些事物,或是朝向某些目標邁進 toward something have a very having a very clear vision 兩者相比,朝向目標邁進顯得非常明確 a goal is far more powerful in attempting to avoid something 明確的目標比逃避來的強大太多了 We can only again even if we're trying to avoid something or still exhorting 我要再次提醒的是,即使我們在實行上面那些步驟, force ourself or pushing ourselves. 告誡自己,逼迫自己的時候。 The key to success is to have a vision so compelling so attractive 最重要的是,訂立一個夠明確,夠吸引你 that it pulls you towards it and then the entire process becomes 能夠讓你不由自主想去追求的目標,這樣一來整組步驟就會變得 effortless . So again briefly repeat the 4 steps 很輕鬆。我再次複誦這四個步驟 What am I trying to avoid ,what do I want 我要避免的是什麼? 我想要的是什麼? what's the next step and take that step 下一步是什麼?並且立刻付諸行動 and spending a little bit of time whether it's 5 minutes a day 每天只要花一點點的時間實行這個流程,不管是五分鐘 or 10 minutes a day on that process are on the 或十分鐘也好, clarification and the visualization of your fear 弄清楚你害怕的事物為何, of your goal can be extremely powerful to getting into action 你的目標為何,就能夠讓你更有動力地向前邁進。 and in a very short amount of time you'll be amazed at how much parts you can make 短時間內,你就會為自己在成功路途上的大幅邁進感到驚艷。 To define success.
