And in today's video I'm going to take all of you guys with me to do some Christmas shopping.

I will teach you Christmas vocabulary.

Come along with me and let's head to the first store.

Right now I'm at my first store HomeGoods.

Let's go ahead and check it out because I'm sure they have a lot of Christmas decorations.

And you might be wondering...

What is HomeGoods?

Well, the name is quite literal.

They sell things or goods for the home.

And right now it is the best time to shop here

because they have holiday decor (holiday decorations) for Christmas.

And we're going to play a little game.

I'm going to give you 3 seconds

I will hold an item and then you are going to try to guess what the name of the item is.

What are these called?

These are called Christmas stockings or just stockings

and you can put Christmas presents  inside

but normally we call these Christmas presents stocking stuffers

which are basically small gifts that you can put inside a stocking

and where would you hang these stockings?

Well you hang these stockings on a fireplace (a fireplace).

You hang Christmas stockings on a shelf

above the fireplace called the mantle (mantle)

and normally Christmas stockings will have your name on them

so you will know which one is yours.

Moving away from the Christmas stockings right now I'm in another aisle (aisle).

And what are these called?

This is called a wreath

but if you have two of them these are two wreaths (wreaths).

A Christmas wreath (a wreath) is normally made out of twigs, flowers, and branches

and they form a ring shape

and you can normally hang these on your windows

or on your front door

and this will just bring in the Christmas spirit.

This wreath is $39.99

but this wreath is $49.99

so they're between $40 and $50.

Now something that you will see in  a lot of retail stores

are these things behind me

What are these called?

These will hang on your Christmas tree (on the branches)

and these are called ornaments (Christmas ornaments).

There are different colors of Christmas ornaments

some have different shapes like these right here

and they come in a box in a set this is a set of 100 Christmas ornaments

and they are shatterproof

which basically means it's impossible to break

so if a Christmas ornament

falls on the floor that means it will not break into small pieces.

How much do you think this big box costs?

Well, it costs $39.99

and on this box, there are some tips to decorate your Christmas tree.

These ornaments are different colors

so it may be hard to decorate your Christmas tree

and if you don't know where to  start you can turn the box and on the back of the box

there are tips for decorating your tree.

Number one separate your ornaments by color

So separate them by gold, red.

Start with one color and create triangular patterns.

This store has a bunch of holiday decor  and they even have doormats.

These are doormats and these door mats are decorated for Christmas

and I really like this one it's a green doormat and it says Noel

and I think I'm going to buy it but first let me check out the price.

This costs $12.99

and I will buy it because I think it is a decent price

and I think it'll look great outside my front door

And above the door mats this this store has decorative pillows.

This is a pillow with Santa Claus on it and it costs $24.99.

This store not only has holiday decor for your home...

Well, they also have things for your pets.

They have dog treats

These are dog treats (holiday dog biscuits) just for your dog

and then they also have dog bowls for food and water

and this is decorated just for Christmas.

Over here they even have dog toys for Christmas

so this is a shape of a bone

and it squeaks and then here are some more dog toys

but right now my puppy already has enough dog toys

so I'm going to set these down we are going to go to a different store

but first I have to check out at the checkout counter.

Right now I'm waiting  in the checkout line.

There is a line to buy my item so I have to wait over here

and then I also found this beautiful table runner for $19.99

so I'm going to buy both items this table runner and this doormat.

Okay, it's going to be $34.96.

Right now I'm outside HomeGoods and to be honest,

I didn't expect to buy anything inside the store

but I bought two things I bought a doormat and a table runner

and on my receipt, the total is $34.96

Now let's go and check out the second store.

Now I'm at the second store. It's called Target

and to be honest it's one of my favorite stores because I'm here almost every single week.

Let's go ahead and walk inside because it's pretty chilly (it's pretty cold)

and find some holiday decor for Christmas.

What do you find under your Christmas  tree?

Well, you find presents or gifts.

These are toys that can be gifts or presents for Christmas.

And how would you wrap these presents?

Well, you wrap these presents with wrapping paper.

This is wrapping paper.

These toys are in a box (box) and it's easy to wrap these toys with wrapping paper.

Each wrapping paper has a different design.

For example, this wrapping paper has Santa Claus on it,

this one says Merry Christmas,

and then this wrapping paper is red and has snowflakes on it.

And then once you have wrapped your box with wrapping paper you can put something beautiful on top.

What is this called?

This is a bow and you can put the bow on top of your present.

And then you can also use this.

What is this called?

This is ribbon and you can tie it around your gift.

And what happens if you want to buy a gift but the gift isn't in a box like a stuffed animal?

Well you can buy a bag.

This is a huge bag and you can put the gift (this present)

inside the bag and then put it underneath the tree.

In Target you can find toys like legos, action figures, dolls, and trains

and these toys can be great presents for Christmas.

If you watched my Halloween vocab video you would know that Target sells candy

and each candy is different for each holiday

but right now it's Christmas time and Target has candy with the most famous figures of Christmas.

For example, this candy dispenser has a polar bear on it,

this Lindor chocolate is huge and it looks like a Christmas present,

and then this Skittles container is in the shape of a candy cane.

Oreos are in the shape of a snowball (they look like snowballs).

This Twix wrapper has Santa Claus on it.

And this pack of Kinder chocolate has snowmen on it.

Even this Nutella jar is decorated for Christmas.

You can actually write "Happy Holidays" with a pencil or pen and then give it to someone.

And then a fun activity you can do with your family is build a gingerbread house.

And over here they have different gingerbread houses (different shapes and sizes).

And you can actually eat the gingerbread house and the candy inside

but I wouldn't recommend it because you have to use the candy to decorate the house.

The candy is used as decoration.

Now can you tell me what this is called?

This is a Santa hat or if you speak fast you can just say Santa hat (Santa hat).

And you wear the Santa hat and you put it on your head.

This is Santa Claus (Santa Claus).

And this is the gingerbread man (gingerbread man).

And this is Santa's elf.

He makes all of Santa's presents and  he helps take care of the reindeer.

Inside Target they sell artificial Christmas trees

and then underneath the Christmas tree you normally will put a tree skirt

and then at the very top of the tree, you will put a star (a Christmas star).

So some of these stars are actually LED and they light up like this one right here says 'Santa Stop Here'.

And then this is Tinsel (Tinsel)

and you can wrap it around a tree and put it around the branches.

I'm not going to buy anything from Target so let's move on and head on over to the third store.

Right now I'm at the third store, Home Depot,

and by the way I wanted to let you guys know that in America

people decorate inside their homes but also outside their homes.

And a lot of outdoor Christmas decorations are found inside this store.

Let's go ahead and check it out.

I'm outside Home Depot and out here they sell real Christmas trees.

And this is a real pine tree and you can tell it's real by the smell of it.

It smells fresh and these trees are all different.

They have different sizes.

This is 8 to 9 feet tall and this one over here is 6 to 7 feet tall.

So these Christmas trees are perfect for your home

because you can see which one you like and which one you want to buy.

Christmas trees can be fresh-cut or real or they can be artificial.

And I'm sure Home Depot has artificial Christmas trees inside but this is a real Christmas tree.

Also, Christmas trees can be used indoors or outdoors.

And now I want to ask you guys...

Do you guys normally buy a real Christmas tree like this one or an artificial tree?

And the price of a real Christmas tree is $109.98 for this 8 to 9-foot tall Christmas tree

but over here obviously, because this real Christmas tree is a lot shorter (this one is 6 to 7 feet tall)

This costs just $64.98.

Home Depot sells outdoor Christmas trees which are real pine trees or fir trees

and inside the store, they sell artificial or fake trees.

So these trees are on display (these are all a display)

but behind me, right over here, they have the actual boxes that the Christmas trees will come in

so you will purchase this box and you will actually have to build this Christmas tree from the bottom to the top.

Each artificial Christmas tree has a  different price because some come with lights and some don't come with lights.

So this Christmas tree costs $299.

Also, these Christmas trees are a lot more expensive compared to the other trees (the real Christmas trees that are outside).

But personally, I think having a fake Christmas tree (an artificial one) is a great deal because you can have it for more years

You can have this tree for 10 years and not get sick of it but if you have a real Christmas tree it'll obviously die after 3 to 4 weeks.

Look how big these Christmas ornaments are!

Each one is $6 and I feel I wouldn't put this on my six-foot tree right here

I feel like this would go on like a 10 or 15-foot tree.

And of course inside Home Depot they have more outdoor decorations that you can put outside your home in your front or backyard.

And what is this animal called?

This is called a reindeer (a reindeer).

And a reindeer is famous in Christmas because he will pull Santa's sleigh (reindeers pull Santa's sleigh)

and the most famous reindeer is Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

Well sorry I have to put your head back but Rudolph has a red nose.

Talking about Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer...

Did you guys know that he has a famous Christmas song?

It goes like...

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

had a very shiny nose

and if you ever saw it

you would even say it glows.

Can you guys tell me what this is called?

This is a Nutcracker (Nutcracker)

and a nutcracker is normally inside homes and is used for indoor decoration.

And you might be wondering... A nutcracker cracks nuts?

Well yes, he can crack nuts because if you open up his mouth you can put a nut in there and crack it

but he's normally not made for that.

He's normally just indoor decoration and this Nutcracker is a soldier (he's a soldier) and he's playing the drums.

And this box comes in a two-piece set.

This is a set of Nutcrackers and I'm going to buy one for me and then I'm going to give one to my dad.
