idea, the more variety you're going to have in your playing. Introduce the idea of voice
leading fourth structures. How about one hand going down and one going up. I think of a
1,2,5,7 shape. There's this, there's this, there's this, and then...Triplets in your
right hand against quarter notes. I'm utilizing these ideas to change chord quality and move
stepwise in the internal voices. You know, occasional dissonance, tension and resolution,
and that's sort of the game.
