all righty guys good afternoon today is
going to be a video about our experience
living the World Cup here in Argentina
and what an experience it was oh I mean
a once in a lifetime experience let's be
honest the roller coaster of highs and
lows during this whole thing I mean they
started off losing to Saudi Arabia like
let's forget about that we do not need
to look back on that moment but yes
basically Argentino won the World Cup
after 36 years the country exploded it's
been crazy yesterday was a national
holiday what made it really fun for us
is that we got to watch the games with
friends here that we have made in town
and it just made everything a hundred
times more exciting I mean we lived and
died during every moments you know
they're up there were some very close
games where they were winning by a
couple goals and then they came back in
time oh man I can see why it's the most
popular sport word in the world so I
hope you guys are football fans because
in today's video we're going to relive
that Journey take you through those
highs and lows starting with the match
Argentina played against the Netherlands
and that was that was a match guys there
were there were some quotes there was
nearly a fight on the field I hope you
watched the game that was a feisty game
yeah

good morning guys
it is the next day after the big game
yesterday okay yesterday was a super
eventful day
first of all we had a big barbecue with
some friends and their acquaintances we
all got together so that was a lot of
fun yeah and then I mean Argentina was
playing in The Knockout round so they
had a very tough opponent in the
Netherlands yes the team of giants by
the way oh my god I've never seen uh you
know two teams where there was such a
difference in in height yeah I mean
across the board the Dutch are huge
Dutch are huge and uh what a game what a
game I mean it looked like Argentina was
going to cruise to an easy Victory
they're up to nothing but then I mean
they came back inside at the very last
minute 10 minutes of extra time they
score right at the end and then
the craziest thing was the storm that
happened so we're up here in the
mountains and whenever it gets like
really cloudy or really stormy or
anything crazy is going on with the
weather there is no signal and the
DirecTV went out right as we were going
into the penalty kicks which was insane
so like one guy pulled out his phone and
like he had a radio and he had to plug
in like a little antenna and like it was
just nuts trying to watch that game but
it was really fun to do it with the
group because of the excitement
everybody was so we ended up hearing
them win yes not watching we didn't
watch them
you know back when sports fans used to
gather around the radio yeah I know my
grandfather used to do that he's there's
a story he would go out in the winter
and listen to the Chicago Blackhawks
games listing in in his car yeah I mean
the past passion during the game I mean
you wouldn't believe how loud it got
when they scored but it also got very
tense and quiet at times argentines are
very passionate fans yes and I mean the
World Cup is the biggest event also can
we just take a moment to talk about that
referee like what was up with those
yellow cars it felt like he was going
like you get a car you get a car it was
he was handing them out like
it was just insane it was nuts and when
he decided to add on 10 minutes 10
minutes of overtime what do you mean
that was just ridiculous
um so yeah what a game that was we had a
lot of fun we celebrated afterwards the
whole group made it through I feel like
the bubbly the bubbly came out the
probably came out so it was a day of
yeah we were having mixed drinks all day
long in fact yes we were drinking
different things here there was
something that was interesting it was
like vermouth with
um Bernard with mixed with wine
um which was used with palmello juice
which is shrimps the shraps the
grapefruit Schweppes that was good
and then we moved on to beer
and then we were having uh we're
basically having a champagne to
celebrate yeah so today's today's a bit
of a recovery day yeah uh we're having
an early lunch with what was left over
from the barbecue some salad Empanada
some chorizo and then
the plan was to go down to the river and
just have like a leisurely Beach day but
it it's been like a torrential downpour
since yesterday so we're gonna see if
the weather holds off yeah it's hard to
see if that's going through or not but
so we'll see what a day yesterday
my gosh they could win the World Cup
wouldn't that be something

okay so the next team Argentina played
was Croatia Croatia we actually did not
film that game because there was a lot
of writing on that game would we make it
to the finals Would we not
um we watched it with the same group of
friends at the same house nerves on edge
yeah nerves on edge that was a bit more
of a convincing win you know in
hindsight so we we came in not knowing
what what to expect but Argentina sure
played well so we were thrilled it's
like wow they're going to the finals
going so now we're going to show you
some footage of the final Argentina
versus France what a match what a game I
mean I'm just gonna roll the footage and
we'll talk about it afterwards wow

for Argentina as our favorite soccer
team for at least for me for 10 years
you your whole life yes you know Canon's
not very good football got to admit that
we didn't watch the Canada game
we knew they weren't going anywhere
that's really really bad to admit
admittedly but but I mean we we do cheer
for Argentina and we've seen them get so
close before right they made it to the
finals one year with Germany they
finally won the Copa America and it was
just a lot was writing on this game
because it was probably Messi's last
chance and we really wanted to see him
win a World Cup like to cement his
legacy but also just for the country too
I mean it's just a big deal here yeah
football is huge and it's a it's a big
morale booster for the country yes
that's the thing it's not just about
football it's not about the game game
like
football in Argentina carries all the
hopes and dreams and people's
aspirations and it brings the country
together and they are going through a
very rough economic time so like this is
something they needed they needed the
win and they deserve it because they
played so so well I would say they
deserved it yeah yeah they really did
yeah it's uh so it's it's like a it's a
win for the country all around and it's
something that that brings everyone
together yes right because yeah like
you've said like uh there's things in
this country that can divide people like
politics and football brings people
together brings people together and we
saw that in the footage in the news in
the days to come once the team made it
back to Argentina the parade yeah five
million people on the streets of Buenos
Aires lining the highway from the
airport to the city center to welcome
the players
so it was huge there's something else
yeah and we had our own little
celebration on the bridge oh that was
fantastic yeah um yeah it's just
something we'll never forget it's gonna
be something that's a big part of our
lives like you always remember where you
were and who you were with and and it's
just one of those like those big events
that uh that you'll always remember and
it and you know it's just a couple days
later so we're still feeling kind of
that that buzz from the wind and um yeah
just a phenomenal experience and it was
made extra special by being here yes
yeah really I really not a doubt no
doubts about that yeah so that was our
experience watching the world cup from
Argentina let us know in the comments
who were you cheering for were you happy
Argentina one yeah exactly we'd love to
know please please let us know all right
