  • So, how do you guys know each other?

  • Like do you mind sharing a bit like how your relationship started?

  • So, basically I was walking down the street.

  • And then most of the time lots of girls look at me.

  • And then Georgia was one of the girls, I was like she looks quite nice.

    Georgia

  • %#$%^#

    %#$%^#

  • What's your version of it?

  • My version of it which Torres always likes to blur the lines about what happened.

  • But basically we were both university students, friends with lots of people.

  • And then we were friends for like two years.

  • Torres was secretly in love with me for two years.

    Torres

  • Two years.

  • And then finally.

    最後

  • Wow, that's long man.

  • Yeah.

  • I try my absolute best to make Georgia my girlfriend.

  • But for the longest time, I got friend zone.

  • Friend zone.

  • Friend zone which is the saddest thing ever.

  • We always had no, I didn't know, I didn't like him.

  • We always had a flirty relationship, a little flirty banter.

  • But he never did anything.

  • He never like asked me out or tried to have a drink with me or anything.

  • That's not really true.

  • Because the first time I met you, I gave Georgia a call.

Georgia

  • And I was like, I have this special VIP ticket to see Batman, do you wanna come?

  • And she replied, Maybe Not.

  • You're trying to play hard to get?

  • Rubbish, he asked me like 4 pm, if I wanted to watch a movie at 7 pm.?

  • And I had schoolwork or something.

  • It's like, oh no, I didn't realize it was a date.

  • No, you should ask like do you like over the weekend or something?

  • When do you free, let's catch up.

  • Of course I would have said yes.

  • Don't give someone three hours notice.

  • Come on, that.

  • Okay, my bad, sorry.

  • Maybe that makes us two years

  • Because I wasn't planning it properly.

  • Two years is quite long.

  • It's a very long time.

  • Like for most people in Hong Kong, you know they're very impatient.

  • Yeah.

  • Like two months, they'll be like oh man I should move on.

  • I mean he moved on.

  • Don't worry.

  • I moved on just to see how like average other girls I met,

  • to finally realize how great you are.

  • So, I move on for a very important purpose.

  • Okay.

  • No.

  • This is very interesting.

  • I'm sure the audience they want to hear more about this.

  • Yeah, I mean both of us like dated other people in that timeline.

  • And I think maybe that's also why we couldn't come together.

  • Because it's always the wrong time.

  • But there was always something, it's so weird.

  • I kind of miss those memories like whenever we see each other,

  • I always get like kind of nervous around you.

  • And then I think I've always liked Georgia a little bit.

Georgia

  • I was trying to get Georgia out to come for a date.

  • But then she rejected me obviously.

  • So, I thought maybe she doesn't like me.

  • Okay.

    好的

  • Sometimes, it's now it's weird to think about it.

  • I think I've seen your ex-boyfriends and you have seen my ex-girlfriends.

  • And we'll come together in the same event.

  • And now we think about it, it's actually quite bizarre.

  • For me, it's like meaningless.

  • Like I don't know if like for me, you are like now my person.

  • Like everyone else in the past, it's like it's just irrelevant.

  • Yeah.

    是的

  • It's irrelevant to me as well.

  • All irrelevant.

  • Yeah.

  • How do you get like together?

  • How you officially like get you.

  • Start.

  • Yeah, how you officially start?

  • I think people will probably want to know.

  • So, which is really crazy.

  • I will tell you three key words.

  • Both single, boat party and alcohol.

  • Okay.

  • Yeah, one of them missing still won't happen this relationship.

  • But I was we were.

  • So, you were drinking, you guys

  • Yeah, we were drinking maybe five drinks in.

  • Five drinks in.

  • Is that a lot for you?

  • Quite tipsy and then we started to talk.

  • Because actually in the past I was quite nervous to talk to Georgia.

  • So when I'm.

  • Alcohol makes people brave.

  • Alcohol is a game changer.

  • I don't drink.

  • You don't drink?

  • Not at all.

  • Never?

  • Like never pretty much.

  • Wow oh my gosh, how did you get your wife then?

  • I'll talk about that in another episode.

  • Stay tuned.

  • No, but I feel like either we were talking about law of attraction right?

  • Yes.

    是的

  • Sometimes, I feel like I have this.

  • You know how when you program your brain to think differently or positive,

  • sometimes alcohol I feel like it has this effect.

  • It just why your brain differently, okay all of a sudden I'm such a brave guy.

  • Yeah, yeah.

  • And then you just walk up to Georgia.

  • And be like, oh Georgia let's have a talk.

  • So, you ever heard of a saying like your personality creates your personal reality.

  • You ever heard of that?

  • No.

  • So, you know when you start sort of like change your own personality,

  • you need to be more bold and brave.

  • So, and then you just start to like talk to her right?

  • Yeah.

    是的

  • That changes everything.

  • Yeah.

    是的

  • So, most people you know when they drink alcohol,

  • then they would say stuff they normally wouldn't.

  • Yeah.

  • But then it happened and then we were talking and then we're like ah.

  • I don't know why we were actually attracted to me.

  • Because I went to on exchange on island.

  • And I got back and like she was like I can't even recognize your face.

  • Like my neck was here.

  • Because I was eating so badly for the longest time.

  • I think I was at the worst shape possible.

  • I was like.

  • He was a lot chubby back then.

  • Yeah.

  • I think I was at my least confident,

  • Really?

  • point.

  • You know when I looked at his videos,

  • I thought he's like probably the same height as me.

  • Yeah.

    是的

  • I don't know why.

  • But then like the first time I met him, he was so tall

  • Yeah.

  • He's like six feet or something.

  • Speaking of law of attraction how much it was a little attraction.

  • But it's like just to entertain some ideas because to be honest,

  • when I first moved to mainland china I didn't date any Asian guys.

  • Yeah.

  • And then when I came back to Hong Kong.

  • Actually when I go back to South Africa.

  • I'm not sure if it's like controversial, maybe it's controversial.

  • But I'd go back to South Africa and people would say to me.

  • As if it was like something like so scandalous.

  • And I'm like, no I don't date Chinese guys.

  • Because I just didn't even, it was just like didn't even entertain that idea.

  • Yeah.

  • And then when I came to Hong Kong I would like I dated like 1 or 2 mix guys.

  • Mix guy.

  • And then finally, Torres was my full Chinese boy that I dated.

  • And like now, I honestly I find Asian people so good looking, so attractive.

  • Yes.

    是的

  • But it's like before that I don't know why.

  • It's like my brain was just not open in that way.

  • Is that because you want your brain to think,

  • like I really want to date an Asian guy.

  • Asian guys are really attractive which is very true.

  • And then.

    然後

  • it's all about perspective, yes.

  • Right?

  • Yeah.

  • it's so good.

  • Yeah, just like allowing yourself to entertain that.

  • I think also what you see in the media.

  • You always see like if anything you see an Asian girl with a white guy.

  • But even now if I see a white girl and an Asian guy walking on the street,

  • I'm like wow that's so weird, why are they doing that?

  • Like you know even though that's us, it's weird.

  • Yeah.

  • I know a few couples like white girls and Asian guy.

  • Yeah.

    是的

  • Probably actually yeah they got married.

  • Yeah, they accept like cultural differences.

  • Yeah.

    是的

  • But it is more common that is white girl.

  • No, it's a white guy and Asian girl.

  • Yeah, that happens a lot more often.

  • Yeah.

  • Yes.

    是的

  • How is that because those people they.

  • So, your English is always been that good?

  • Or you actually train when you're with her?

  • No, I think I improved my English the most when I was in university.

  • When I was in (university), I really wanted.

  • Because my secondary education it didn't teach me to have an international mind.

  • I basically don't know what's happening outside the world.

  • And the inability to speak English really limits my like my vision.

  • Okay.

    好的

  • Or my ability to know things that are happening around me.

  • So, because his English is pretty good.

  • Really really good.

  • Yeah, pretty good.

  • And then I thought you know he'd been studying like overseas or something.

  • And then he said, no I've never went overseas.

  • So, I'm pretty surprised.

  • But you also always change your answer with that.

  • Torres always has so many answers

    Torres

  • Really?

  • There's so many answers.

  • We filmed a video 2 years ago.

  • And Torres said, oh yes thanks to Georgia so much for teaching me.

  • No no no no no, Georgia actually really like helped me improve so much.

  • Yeah, because you talk every day.

  • Yeah, we talk every day in English.

  • So, she really helped me improve so much.

  • But I think my English when it actually got good or fluent,

  • was because I really want to learn so I took every opportunity.

  • Yeah, I think also you love foreign culture.

  • Like Torres always immersed himself in like different cultures.

  • He wants to always learn about what are you doing in Kazakhstan or Italy or whatever.

  • Okay.

    好的

  • So, I remember when I was in secondary school.

  • Because my secondary school is actually not so famous.

  • compared to like those DBS, La Salle, Queen's College

  • So, we never get invited to those international schools.

  • Like Christmas ball or anything.

  • So, I can never meet anyone who's like international.

  • So I would like make the greatest effort to find my connection.

  • Please let me come, I want to meet more people from all over the world.

  • Like I try to add like, it's really embarrassing.

  • But I add like friends on Facebook just like international school people.

  • I message him, can we hang out?

  • It's so embarrassing.

  • Just because I really want to,

  • Be like them.

  • see a different side than my local school, trying to improve my English.

  • So, I guess quite like what you told me about law of attraction?

  • Yes.

    是的

  • How I really wire my brain, I want to be like that.

  • Okay.

    好的

  • What am I going to do to achieve that?

  • Who should I surround myself with, so I can I have different perspective?

  • I think the people you're with is very important.

  • Like you know the the circle, friends.

  • Okay, I think something the audience really want to know.

  • How this YouTube business all started?

  • I've always been a very, I like to talk, I like to be funny.

  • Like we're talking, we chit chatting.

  • And then one day when I was in first year of my university,

  • I did an internship in Shanghai.

  • Yeah.

    是的

  • So I was walking in the street of Shanghai.

  • And then when back in the days, Chinese social media was not so big and famous.

  • But one guy who's.

  • That was in 2014, right?

  • 2015

  • 14 or 15, I remember doing a prediction for him.

  • Remember?

  • Yeah.

  • And you predicted that was my turning point.

  • And then that thing and then I was like doing an internship in shanghai.

  • I was just walking in the street.

  • And some people were doing street interviews.

  • So, he just handed me a mic.

  • And be like, oh I really wanted to answer this question.

  • And the question was really embarrassing.

  • Like do you go bra shopping with your girlfriend or something?

  • I was like what?

  • And then I was just like all right okay.

  • Yeah, let me just like be myself and talk some like random bullshit.

  • I was like yeah I do.

  • Because I make sure they get the biggest one.

  • I like lace, 我喜歡蕾絲的, something like that.

  • And that video went viral in China.

  • My girlfriend always buy bra with me.

Bra

  • Do you select the style for her?

  • Yes.

  • Which style do you prefer?

  • I enjoy pink one.

  • Is lace necessary for you?

  • It's better to have some lace on it.

  • Oh, okay.

  • That video went viral in China, I got captured in meme.

  • People saying oh,

  • You need to show me that video.

  • Yeah, I hope I can find it.

  • Have you ever showed it to the public?

  • No, I've never shown it.

  • I think you should.

  • I'll send you the link secretly.

  • I'll send you the link and maybe you can show it.

  • That's quite important to me.

  • The bigger, the better.

  • Does your ex-girlfriend has big titties?

  • They were foreigners, so they normally have big titties.

  • What's the biggest bra size in your past life?

  • G.

    G罩杯

  • That was really embarrassing.

  • I say something that's so embarrassing and then that video went viral.

  • And then that producer contacted me.

  • And be like do you want to host for us?

  • Wow.

  • So, I started hosting.

  • That's pretty incredible.

  • And I started hosting the show for them.

  • And I got in touch in social media and I started my own YouTube channel.

  • And then you started like asking people random questions, right?

  • Yeah, I started okay maybe what I do best is asking questions.

  • So, did you did he start his channel like in English?

  • First, you saw it on Facebook.

  • Yeah.

  • And then Facebook didn't take so much.

  • It started in Cantonese first.

  • So, why did you switch it in English?

  • Because I actually I think I had two missions.

  • Because I think it was so difficult for me to learn English back then.

  • So, I want to switch to English with Chinese subtitle and English subtitles.

  • So, when people watch it, they can also like local Hong Kong people.

  • When they watch it they can also learn some English.

  • From me, not that it's perfect but it's just my.

  • Because in Hong Kong we don't have a lot of channel like that.

  • You either go for like foreign media or local media.

  • Yes.

    是的

  • But no bilingual

  • And second is I want to broader all the audience.

  • Yes.

    是的

  • So, it's like Taiwan maybe they don't really like to listen to Cantonese.

  • And in Hong Kong maybe they don't.

  • I mean in America maybe they're more used to English.

  • So I just say, I want a border audience.

  • Actually I watched one of his videos.

  • He visited Africa?

  • Yeah.

    是的

  • It was Africa and then you were donating like money and food to people.

  • Yeah that's why I'm saying,

  • you know he's like a very nice guy, like a good guy by nature.

  • I don't know how to response that.

  • Siri doesn't agree him.

    Siri

  • throw it away throw it away

  • This is so scary.

  • Siri knows me way too well.

    Siri

  • What?

  • Siri doesn't agree with you.

    Siri

  • Torres really likes to help people that he's close to.

    Torres

  • Yeah so that's why I'm saying you know his life mission very simple,

  • is to help you know bring the value out of people.

  • Like other people and help people be who they are.

  • And he's like a teacher but of course he's still young.

  • How old are you right now?

  • 25

    25

  • 25, man.

  • When he's like 35 or 40, he's going to be like a really really good teacher.

  • Like teaching classes and courses.

  • Thank you.

  • He's gonna put I don't know like you're gonna do good stuff.

  • Like to people, like charity and helping others

  • That's busy.

  • Actually, I think that's why I decided to make my YouTube videos like that as well.

  • Because I think Hong Kong people they don't get to see a lot of cultural differences.

  • Yeah, cultural differences.

  • Not everyone is as privileged as us,

  • being able to expose to different cultures. right?

  • Yeah.

    是的

  • So, a lot of Hong Kong people they don't get the chance,

  • to travel abroad and meet different people.

  • So, I really want to show them like this side of the world.

  • Because especially in Hong Kong it's all about money and you do well at school.

  • There's actually so many things the world is beautiful.

  • And there's so many things happening.

  • Don't just focus on the negative things around you.

  • Exactly what we've been saying like today.

  • Just focus on the beautiful stuff and life is abundant.

  • But people they're all, they have like a lack mindset.

  • So, they're always lacking this and that.

  • And then that's actually bad in terms of manifestation.

  • You know when you want a lot of money, right?

  • I want money I want money but deep inside because you lack it.

  • So, you don't really believe you have the money.

  • So, how are you going to attract money right?

  • Yeah.

  • So, you have to have the abundance mindset.

  • The last questions, what do you think like being in Hong Kong,

  • like there's a big cultural difference for you I assume?

  • So, do you get used to it?

  • How long did it take you to get used to it?

  • Yeah I mean after South Africa when I was 18, I finished high school,

  • I immediately flew to Guangzhou and I lived in Mainland China for 1.5 years.

  • Okay.

    好的

  • And I think that was a massive cultural shock to me.

  • Cultural shock.

  • Because like the toilets are so different.

  • The toilet smells like.

  • Hey Clement after this show you need to see Georgia's Asian squat.

  • After coming to Asia, her Asian squat is perfect.

  • Asian squat.

  • She squats like a real Asian, I was like how do you do it?

  • I remember once I was getting the like the you know limousine.

  • Oh yes, that's asian toilet

  • She squats like a real Asian.

  • The toilet bowl, right?

  • Sometimes they have but actually I prefer the keyholes cleaner.

  • Because the toilet bowl normally has like so much stuff all over you know.

  • But in South Africa you don't have that.

  • No, don't have that.

  • So you learn to use that in Asia.

  • In China.

  • But it's like I remember once I was getting,

  • you know the limousine they call it a limousine in China.

  • Getting the limousine from like Guangzhou to Hong Kong.

  • And i get to Lo Wu and I was carrying like all of these bags plus another bag

  • And I needed to go to the toilet so badly.

  • So, I quickly ran to the toilet.

  • And I get into a cubicle and the lock doesn't lock.

  • So, I have to like literally be squatting on the floor while holding the door.

  • While I'm holding all my bags and like managing everything.

  • And then someone's gonna open the door and I'm like oh my god.

  • I did it.

  • So, actually after living there I actually find Hong Kong.

  • I don't find it because Hong Kong was more like,

  • of a perfect balance between like east mixed west.

  • The only thing maybe I find like as a cultural shock now,

  • is like I still I'm a little bit scared of wet markets even though I go there.

  • What market?

  • Just like the smell and like the pigs.

  • The pig's just lying there, it kind of like wow it's intense.

  • Let me see, I've been to America and Australia.

  • Yeah, there there aren't really any of these markets.

  • But I also think sometimes it's better like that.

  • Because over here when you see the animals being slaughtered,

  • it kind of makes you remember oh it's an animal.

  • Yeah.

    是的

  • Otherwise, you go to supermarket everything is so beautifully packaged.

  • You forget like what actually what you're consuming sometimes.

  • But anyway I don't know why I'm talking about this.

  • So, you think you're gonna turn vegan like sometime later in life?

  • I just went to the wet market two days ago, so I'm a little bit traumatized.

  • I think I just need some time.

  • It's like just.

  • So, what about the houses in Hong Kong? Like apartments.

  • That's so true.

  • Because Hong Kong apartments it's like the smallest in the world.

  • Yeah.

  • Georgia always dreams about having a big garden.

    Georgia

  • She said she really wants dog and I told her it's so difficult.

  • It's a luxury to have dogs or have pets or have a garden.

  • Yeah.

  • It's impo..

  • But honestly like in South Africa,

  • it's relatively attainable to have like a four bedroom house,

  • on a huge piece of land, the huge garden, many dogs, cats.

  • So that's what I grew up with.

  • So, that is still what I imagined for my life.

  • And it's so true in Hong Kong everything is so claustrophobic and tiny.

  • And just Torres for example you love to be inside.

  • I think Torres feel so comfortable at home.

  • I like to be at home.

  • Whereas I feel most at peace like if I'm in nature.

  • Do you, what about you?

  • Do you feel at peace in nature or inside?

  • Saying both actually.

  • Really?

  • I don't mind being in nature, I can meditate for like six hours.

  • It's so soothing.

  • It kind of makes you feel like an animal again you know.

  • Yes.

    是的

  • But some Hong Kong people say it, okay?

  • They live worse than the animals,

  • because you know the cage is even bigger than your home.

  • Yeah.

  • Being a dog is better than a man?

  • You know the the cages in the zoo?

  • Yeah.

    知道

  • It's even bigger than your house like for most people.

  • I mean I think we are quite lucky.

  • Like our house is really really big for Hong Kong standing.

  • Yes.

    是的

  • But even so.

  • Sea view.

  • Yeah.

    是的

  • But even sort of into Africa like it's just the space is so big you know.

  • Yeah, it is Hong Kong too pack

  • Yeah.

    是的

  • Okay.

    好的

  • So that is a cultural difference for sure.

  • All right.

    好的

  • You need to see us in the nature.

  • The other day I saw a bee, I was ah ah ah ah.

  • Georgia was like, it's just a bee.

    Georgia

  • And we were camping the other day I was like we parked the car there.

  • And we were camping, I was like what if there's a wild pig?

  • And then I said don't worry I'll protect you.

  • I'm Torres' South African protector, I'll like,

  • Okay.

    好的

  • stand away, stand back.

  • She's your wonder woman.

  • Yeah, she is indeed.

  • I'm just a city boy.

  • She's the real tough African girl.

  • Okay, thanks Torres and Georgia sharing you know the the stories.

  • Thank you so much for teaching us about this.

  • I'm sure the audience they would love to hear like more about your life.

  • Yeah.

So, how do you guys know each other?
