How is that? Ben: Dogs have been considered man’s best and most loyal friend, but every phrase related to dogs seems to have a negative meaning. Joe: I haven’t noticed that. Ben: You see, we often say “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks.” What’s more, one may be living “a dog’s life.” Joe: That’s really bad. Ben: Cats, on the other hand, get better treatment. Joe: How? Ben: Well, at least “A cat has nine lives.” It has a better chance than “a dog’s chance.” Joe: That makes sense … (Silent for a while) Ben: Has the cat got your tongue? Joe: No, I was just thinking. What will you say when it starts to “rain cats and dogs?”
