  • mm hmm.

    mm hmm。

  • Look at how they printed like it looks like a newspaper.

  • It's not even real pictures.

  • Mhm, mm hmm, mm hmm.

  • Mhm.

  • Mhm Crazy.

  • I'd like to thank skill share for sponsoring this video.

  • I really, really wanted to talk about this because I feel like it's so important because today is literally about how to do nothing and productivity.

  • So I'm sure a lot of people are thinking how can productivity and doing nothing mesh well or mesh together.

  • And I'm gonna tell you how skill share is an online learning community with thousands of classes for the creative and the curious, there's so many classes on there that really talk about mindset and productivity and habits and things like that.

  • So if you're feeling like you don't have structure and you need to reset especially With 2021 coming up.

  • But even now start now try to think of a system that will help you become your creative self.

  • And one of the classes that I can recommend is simple productivity, how to accomplish more with less.

  • And this is by Greg McCowen and he is an expert on essential is um and I feel like essential, essential is um is very closely related to a lot of Japanese mindset methods that I teach because it's all about doing the most important things and stop saying yes to too many things because in the end we can't do it all and he really expresses that and he says whenever you say yes to one thing, you say no to something else.

  • So it's all about prioritizing and figuring out ways that you can get the most done by doing less and that is what a lot of the things that I teach in the guy course program that I have is except I combine it with other methods like that ichigo is on my method and um finding your flow and just becoming more mindful and I feel like essential is um is very much related to that.

  • And the thing is I love the things that I teach and I love japanese mindset methods, but I also love Western methods and I always learn from other people so I can craft something of my own that works for myself because if you just learn one way of doing something then you're never going to figure out what works the best for you.

  • So I'm always seeing different perspectives, perspectives.

  • I'm learning from other creators and other um professionals and skill share.

  • Has that for me, they're very short videos and it's easy to follow and it just gets right to the point, which is what I love about skill share.

  • If you're uncertain about what's next productivity classes can really help you stay organized.

  • It's a great way to structure your time, can also help you set goals and learn a way that's like I said, going to help you in the long run and what tiki guy teaches us is sustainability and you want to find a system that's going to help you stay focused and get more done in the long run.

  • So whether you're looking for classes to take just because you're at home, you're in quarantine and you just don't know what else to do.

  • What better way to do it than with skill share and learn something new and open your mind to new perspective or if you just want to focus on self care through creativity, skill share, has everything that you need.

  • You can use the link in my description if you want to get a trial period for the premium version of skill share.

  • So that is available down below now.

  • What this video is really about is having a do nothing day and in order to be productive.

  • I highly believe in taking time for yourself and I'm sure you've heard this so many times before, but what I mean by do nothing is actually letting your intuition take you through the day instead of following a list, do what you're called to do, do what you feel you're lacking in, look at your balance in life and see what's going on with that and try to fulfill it by doing it on the do nothing day and whether it's with a friend or just alone, having a do nothing day is actually the days where I am coming up with my best ideas.

  • I think a lot of the questions that I ask myself while I'm journaling or just out loud, it starts to come up in my subconscious when I'm having a do nothing day, It's also essential to an icky guy practice or having an icky guy lifestyle.

  • You want to break free a little bit, even if it's just a little bit that makes you feel a little uncomfortable, you want to do that because you don't want to get into this comfortable loop of doing the hobbies and the passions that you love all the time, that's not what this guy is really essentially about, it's about balance and learning about yourself and understanding yourself and on my do nothing days, that's what I like to do.

  • I like to get out of my comfort zone, I like to explore places that I've never explored before.

  • Like today we are going to another part of Tokyo that we've never been to and just getting out and exploring, that's considered getting out of your comfort zone, doing something that you don't normally normally do today, we are headed to another part of Tokyo and that is what I just want to do today because I feel like I'm lacking in creativity and by doing this kind of thing, by exploring something a part of Tokyo, Getting outside and doing something different is going to help me become more creative, bring new ideas to my mind and just all around feel good in the end, have you ever felt as if your soul was taken from your daily tasks, like you didn't have any control, it was just a set thing that you needed to get done and you just felt like you were on autopilot the entire time.

  • So do nothing doesn't mean do nothing necessarily.

  • It can be, but it means basically ditching the to do list and listening to your soul, what do you need today?

  • That will fulfill you the most And I do nothing days.

  • That's when I make the most breakthroughs in my life.

  • And I have literally the best creative ideas.

  • It just comes to you.

  • Subconsciously tell him I'm not coming home mm hmm.

  • On my do nothing days.

  • I either a do the thing that people told me that I could never do or be do the thing that will put me in a mindful state and connect with myself on a different level.

  • Because let's face it, life is boring.

  • If you're 100% a slave tear to do list, there's zero spontaneity and who wants to live like that.

  • All these playboy magazines, This looks so hysterical.

  • No, look at how they printed like it looks like a newspaper.

  • It's not even real pictures.

  • Mhm So we're in Jim Jimbo Jimbo cho is like a book street.

  • So like all of, there's like a big street full of books, bookshops vintage.

  • That one looks really cool vintage.

  • And then there's tons of coffee shops and like just lots of places just kind of sit and relax.

  • So I kind of wanted to show you guys a little bit of like Japan and the city and stuff like that and this place is very popular because every single restaurant is literally like lined with people.

  • It's crazy the work culture in Japan can be contagious.

  • Working hard is a big deal in Japan and a lot of foreigners fall into that vicious cycle to without realizing it, especially as a teacher after work, I would work before work, I would work, the curriculums weren't going to make themselves and put me in a depressive state thinking I actually hated teaching when I didn't, who has read this book before comment down below.

  • This is so not special.

  • It's a book particular, it's about a vampire rabbit, I loved teaching, I just didn't have any do nothing days at this stage in my life in Japan and now that I work for myself, I have to do literally everything to stay afloat.

  • But I realized that a non negotiable for me is a do nothing day where I follow my intuition and what my soul is telling me to do if I want to edit a video, I'll do it if I want to go for a walk with a friend, I'll do it if I literally want to do nothing all day, I'll do it, I ain't never gonna talk again, it's abandoned, no haunted, It's haunted wake up with the sun and remind yourself what it feels like to be bored again so you can do whatever you feel called to do.

  • I had Taco Bell in a very long time and I'm tempted to go here and then just go to a retro coffee shop instead of going to an expensive bistro since you know, we're trying to save right now.

  • He's actually never had Taco Bell here, your winsome and you're young, at least that's what they say underneath the later and you have the freaking hot sauce now guys.

  • Oh my God, I'm so excited.

  • Alright, so this is our meal and in Japan Taco Bell, they have chips and fries and I actually really liked them and I wish they would bring them to America.

  • So good.

  • And the burritos looks not so small, so that's good.

  • And they have the hot sauce.

  • Where's the hot sauce?

  • They have the freaking hot sauce.

  • You guys, the packaging looks a little different but and then they gave us a side of chicken fingers.

  • That's so random.

  • My two loves Taco Bell and my husband, you can't decide between the two.

  • We woke up late this morning and decided later we wanted to go window shopping.

  • So that's exactly what we did today.

  • I'm a sucker for vintage shops and books and it made me appreciate all of the creations and art people made back then hoping one day I could do the same and leave some sort of impact on the world the way these creatives did if you love old books and magazines or feeling stuck creatively.

  • Jimbo chose book Street is a great place to have a little stroll by yourself or with someone else.

  • Also, the cafes here are super retro and perfect for that work life balance.

  • There's even a shop that's dedicated to only cat books.

  • What?

  • What is this?

  • It's your country.

  • Mm hmm.

  • Okay.

  • Mhm.

  • I'm gonna dump it all in you die.

  • So my review on this place, I love the environment.

  • We didn't get the cream soda, but it looked really good.

  • They had like a cocoa.

  • I should have got that one.

  • It was like a cocoa cream soda.

  • But we got just the coffee because they weren't really, we didn't want to drink.

  • We should have shared it.

  • That's what we should have done.

  • But we got the ice coffee and the hot coffee and it tastes like canned coffee.

  • It's not.

  • It's so it's like they dumped a whole thing of sugar in it.

  • And they were wanting me to dump all of this sugar into this one.

  • Mm hmm.

  • We're going grocery shopping now because we're out.

  • You might as well go Kill two birds with one stone.

  • We need bananas all wrapped in plastic trigger warning Pineapple.

  • It's already it's already cut this part.

  • We still have to cut the rest though.

  • Okay, we got grapes.

  • It's 500 yen a lot for grapes.

  • I don't even know.

  • Yeah.

  • Mhm.

  • This was productive because we came here at the time when we're out and tomorrow I'll have a lot more time to do my my work and everything, so this is perfect.
