- Hi, I'm Mariah Carey.
I'm going to answer some trivia questions about myself.
Let's see how I do.
(bright jazzy music)
And the first one is, what time was I born?
None ya.
What is my favorite holiday?
What do you think?
Christmas is the best.
If anybody doesn't know that, obviously I love it
and what's been great for me is doing live Christmas shows.
The last one before COVID was at Madison Square Garden
and there was every race, creed, color, age, everything,
and it was amazing and then they were like,
in the subway screaming,
♪ All I want for Christmas ♪
it was amazing, it was so great.
Christmas is my favorite holiday,
but I'm actually very festive, believe it or not.
And I kind of love all the holidays.
How many dogs do I have?
Several, I have several.
How many songs of mine have been number one
on the US Billboard Hot 100 charts?
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say 19.
- Well, 18. - What?
No, no, no, no.
Don't worry, it is 19.
Somebody in the room tried to challenge me
when I said 19 and they were like 18,
and I was like, I think I know how many number ones
I've had on the Hot 100 charts,
because one of them was a holiday song
and it is "All I Want for Christmas is You"
so that's my 19th number one.
How many outfit changes did I have in the
"We Belong Together" music video?
I'm thinking, okay, so we had the lavender dress
against the tufted bed background.
There was the bridal gown, which I almost burned.
I'd love to know where it is,
but I feel like someone stole it.
Anyway, that's a running theme in my life,
but see, oh, we shot two videos that day.
So that's the thing, we did

My new liquor, Black Irish, that's the theme for it.

and I had an a Dsquared dress,
in case it's too loud in here and it was really fun.
It was like, it was like over with the one side
and an open here and, but that was the same day as
the "We Belong Together" shoot, so it's hard for me
to dif, to like, remember how many outfit changes I had.
You guys are right, I'm wrong, I don't know, you win.
Which song features my longest note?
This, I really have no idea.
It could be "Emotions", I don't really know.
I didn't measure it and I didn't write them that way
or sing them that way deliberately
but hopefully someone will let me know after this quiz.
Which of my songs helped me surpass Elvis
in the ranking of total number one hits?
And that's a big thing because I don't want to disrespect
his fans or anyone in the world about that type of stuff.
But it was "Touch My Body" and that was my 18th
number one, 17th?
No 18th number one single.
It was a pretty amazing moment.
I was like going around my hometown of New York City
on a helicopter, just like having like this incredible time
and I think that people in New York were feeling like,
yes, this is a hometown girl
that just had this incredible feat,
but it's like, look, that doesn't make me like, oh my gosh.
Well, look at me, what I did, like Elvis is still Elvis.
How many hours did I spend in beauty school?
500 hours.
Long time doing pin curls and finger waves and things.
But guess what?
It was worth it because I learned a lot.
On the cover of "All I Want For Christmas is You"
is my hair curly or straight?
On the original cover of "All I Want for Christmas is You"
my hair is curly and frozen.
Where was this red carpet look?
I have no idea, I feel like it might be
the American Music Awards, but I don't know.
So I'm not going to answer, but I, you know, I don't know.
I'm shocked I was allowed to wear that dress.

You tell me.
How heavy is the dress in "Mariah's Christmas:
the Magic Continues"?
I will tell you, 60 pounds.
Dolce & Gabbana did this intricate, gorgeous beading
and it was very heavy.
So if you watch it, you'll see when the guys
who luckily were there are helping me carry the train,
not helping me, I didn't carry it.
It is a moment.
Okay, what colors are the iconic butterfly top?
I would say there's like, there were a lot of colors.
Okay, I remember this night very well
because it was the second Divas Live,
which was honoring Ms. Ross, Ms. Diana Ross, the boss,
that I love and live for, but I did like one look
that was like cut off jeans that I kind of like curated,
whatever, and then we did the Ungaro top
and I think it had like purple, pink, green, maybe,
gold, probably, some white sparkles,
but I can't, I don't have a poster of it hanging
in my wall at my house, so I don't totally remember,
but it was one of my favorite things ever
and I wish they would make a dress for me again,
can you guys make a dress, please?
It's Harper's Bazaar.
Just make a new dress and we'll do a sleeve
and you know, zzush it up.
Thanks for watching,
I hope you check out my new book,
well, actually it was released last year,
it is now out on paperback and there's a lot of other things
and you can check them out online and I love you.
