  • growing up, I was taught that the world can be a scary place older you get influenced by so many in my life about how getting older, you lose out on more opportunities and adventures.

  • But that couldn't be further from the truth.

  • Yeah.

  • Looking back on the chapters in my life, I couldn't be more proud of myself.

  • We forget how much we've accomplished in our lives and the lessons we've learned and how much we've grown to be the human we are today.

  • Not only do we become teachers as we get older, we remain students.

  • That's another thing that you need to remember as we inch towards our thirties, forties, fifties and beyond, Never quit learning and continue to educate those who need a lesson or two in life.

  • The best thing about growing older is how much of an impact we have on society and younger generations.

  • It's also important to remember that it's never too late to do anything.

  • We're taught that certain ages mean we can't do something, but that is only a limiting belief and we need to stop listening to and preaching that to others, start to believe that once you hit a certain age that you can do something not can't becoming 30.

  • I know now is the best feeling, knowing I can continue my passion for teaching and impacting others.

  • The twenties were my moments to discover, grow and learn and I can't even begin to tell you what my thirties might hold a whole new adventure awaits.

  • Yeah.

  • Mhm.

  • Mhm.

  • Mhm Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, yeah, yeah.

  • Happy birthday to me that it's not actually my birthday, my birthday is tomorrow and he's washing stuff for me today.

  • He's like doing tours for me.

  • But yeah, so today we're going to go for a walk even though it looks like it's gonna rain on my birthday and then we're gonna get cake.

  • Oh my God, I love cake.

  • I got chocolate cake.

  • I was so excited and then we're going to get stuff to make tacos because it's my favorite meal.

  • Yeah, I don't know what else I'm going to do today.

  • I'm actually planning on planning today.

  • Ug booked a super expensive hotel for us to stay in a nico for one night.

  • That is going to be actually my birthday present.

  • I love tacos and I love burritos.

  • I can't live without them.

  • I had to choose between sushi or tacos and choose tacos.

  • Really?

  • What would you choose?

  • That's a tough question.

  • I like both.

  • But I feel like I'd get sick of sushi after a while.

  • I feel like I never get sick of mexican food.

  • I want to eat like Sushi once a week and maybe uh Mexican food for the rest of the 60s.

  • Hello everyone.

  • So today's video is going to be not so cinematic or voice ovary.

  • Maybe the intro is going to be like that.

  • And you guys probably seen the intro just because this is a very emotional time for me and it's a time for a new chapter in my life and I'm so excited for it.

  • I feel like turning 30 is like the best thing because there's just so much that I learned in my twenties that I can take and use for my thirties, you know like all the lessons I've learned, I'm just more prepared for my thirties and more prepared to be a grown adult.

  • I really wanted to talk about the things that I learned in my twenties that can really help you guys out in the future.

  • There's so many lessons you guys so many.

  • This could be like a part two, part three video, but I'm just going to kind of highlight some of the things that I learned while living abroad in my twenties, I learned what self love truly is.

  • Once I shipped myself off to the land of Japan, I realized that I was on my own that this was it, that I am taking 100% responsibility for my experience in my life, it was a slow learning curve.

  • Everyone was saying that pampering yourself like painting your nails bath, having a day off is self love although that is part of healing and taking care of yourself.

  • Self love is what you can provide for yourself.

  • And I realized in the end that all the things that I had gone through the heart breaks the drama, the loneliness, all of those things are things that I can provide to myself, I can provide love to myself, I can provide encouragement to myself, I don't need to feel lonely, I can take myself out on a date, I can go and meet people if I want to, I just felt like I was always playing the victim of a lot of the times in my twenties and I soon, towards the end of my twenties realized that I don't need to play the victim that I can learn from all of these things and I can provide a lot of these things to myself.

  • Once you go to another country, it just kind of hits you harder, I think it hits you harder and realizing that you are responsible for yourself, doing something that scares you can be the best feeling in the whole entire world.

  • I push myself to do a lot of scary things, starting a Youtube channel, moving to Nagoya by myself, moving to Japan by myself modeling, getting married to somebody that I met long distance, like all of these things scared the crap out of me, starting a business now, I'm starting a business and I'm starting a business to change people's lives, that, that was the end of, that was a realization that was my life purpose, finding your life purpose is a lot deeper and there is a Japanese concept that goes with it and it just has been a very good blueprint for me to follow throughout my twenties that got me to where I am today, but doing things that scare you is one thing that can help you figure out what you are good at and what your skills are and what you like and what you don't like, whether it's in relationships community career, any part of your life, in order to reach the goal of figuring out what you truly need in your life or what you want, you have to do things that scare you all my life, you know, in the beginning, in my early twenties I was always like oh this is too hard or someone else maybe can do that, but I can't do that.

  • I started to realize throughout my mid twenties and late twenties I can do those things, anybody can do anything as long as they practice and they work hard and they try, you're gonna fail many many times or maybe something is just not gonna work out and it'll turn into an amazing story someday, like a hilarious, embarrassing story.

  • You can compare everybody's life to a book, nobody wants to read a boring ass book, People want funny things, people want to relate to a story, People want to read things that have romance failures, venture and the ups and the downs.

  • People want to read exciting story and if you're constantly afraid then you just don't have a story just gonna live on the first page for the rest of your life.

  • I just realized slowly that these are chapters in my life life and someday I'm gonna write a biomass book about what I've done in my life.

  • It led me to my life purpose today, if that makes any sense.

  • But doing things that scare you is so important, going along with that you're capable of doing more than you think.

  • When I moved abroad, I quickly realized that I didn't have anybody to depend on, you, just learn to trust your gut, you've learned to figure things out on your own and you learn to do things on your own.

  • I realize this kind of a small thing, but I realize I owned a lot of things.

  • I owned way too much in Japan, the house is, everything is, the apartments are way too small and when I moved here I had so much stuff, I started to accumulate more than I actually needed and things became cluttered and just really stressful.

  • And so I started to kind of adopt minimalism a little bit.

  • I kind of became a barrier condo of my life, I started getting rid of things and being mindful of the things that I bought or had in my house, you'll experience the highest of highs and the lowest of lows, if you live in another country and throughout my twenties I experienced intense highs and intense lows, I think if I were to live in my own country, those things wouldn't be as intense because in the beginning you always have a support system, experienced a lot of the lows very, very intensely inside of me.

  • And then once and then I would experience super highs when I would travel and do exciting things and it was just a lot of ups and downs and learning and figuring things out.

  • I learned that feeling the way that I feel is okay.

  • Learning to accept my emotions and anxiety and stress is and sadness and loneliness and happiness and excitement.

  • Learning to accept those things about myself and realizing that that that is part of human life, that is part of who we are, that it's okay to feel that way and to not suppress those feelings.

  • And I started to read a lot of self help books and things to feeling like my anxiety and my stresses and my loneliness of living abroad was not okay, but just, you know, those feelings in general were not okay and then I need to fix myself.

  • People were telling me like, stop complaining, stop, stop, stop, stop.

  • When it's okay to feel that way.

  • It's okay.

  • It's natural.

  • It's it's a part of who we are as humans, everybody has different battles and different challenges and different things that they're going through in their life.

  • And those emotions are naturally going to come up and once you start to accept those feelings and nurture them with love instead of getting angry that they're coming up and battling them, which you don't need to battle them.

  • They're just a part of you.

  • They're trying to those emotions and those feelings are trying to protect you.

  • In reality there's no solution.

  • There's no answer to fixing anxiety or fixing sadness or fixing the things that you feel.

  • You don't need to fix yourself.

  • And I think it gets worse when we feel that there's something wrong with us to suppress those feelings.

  • Makes it worse.

  • We are meant to feel intensely once we begin to accept the emotions that rise within ourselves, we start to see things in a more neutral way.

  • My battery is going to die.

  • But these are some of the things that I learned in my twenties and I'll probably write a whole blog post about this.

  • I totally understand that there is anger and frustration and I know that there are more peaceful protests out there that are happening than the violence and to be quite honest what I feel is that there are a lot of people that are looting and causing so much violence and anger and destroying things and putting people in danger and they're not part of anything.

  • And there's people out there like that that are just taking advantage of the situation and looting and stealing and doing all of that stuff and those people just don't care about anything at all.

  • And that is what I'm upset about because there are a lot of businesses that are going up in flames that black people own.

  • There's a lot of stuff that's happening from people that again, like I said 100 times, they just don't care.

  • They have no, they don't, they haven't taken aside, it's confusing.
