So I think you kind of know what today's video is going to be about.

But first, I want to tell you

So let's rewind a little bit and go back.

From wherever you are in Taiwan,

to get to today's spot

you'll need to hop on to the HSR.

Once you reached Changhua Station,

想來到今天的地點

get off and grab a taxi.

你都得搭乘高鐵

It's just a quick ride into Nantou County

在你抵達了彰化站後

and to CF Tea.

下高鐵並轉搭計程車

Right away I began my experience and immersion

只需一會車程便抵達南投縣

into tea culture

與泉發茶莊

by hopping into the back of a track

我馬上便開始體驗與沉浸

with the CF Tea family,

在茶文化裡

and we made our way farther into Nantou.

就在我與泉發茶莊的家人

Okay. So we are on the way

一同跳上車子

to the main tea farm area,

我們一同繼續向南投前進

which is not far from the main building.

好 我們正在前往

How authentic is this. I love it

茶園的所在地

that we're sitting in the back of a truck.

就在茶廠的不遠處

We got hats.

多麼地道地 我好喜歡

We got the buckets to pick the tea leaves.

我們坐在車上

I'm all set. I'm excited.

Wow. Oh my god, there's many "Tonbo"

我們有採茶竹簍

dragonflies.

Typically when you're picking the tea leaves,

天啊 這裡好多紅蜻蜓

you wear this kind of hat.

As everyone here is going to be wearing.

基本上 當你採茶時

So I'm going to be wearing as well.

And you put this on.

Tie it and this is to help block the sun.

So where we're heading to is this middle one here.

You can see kind of like the curtain area right there.

That's black.

And that's to separate the farm.

Because something special about the farm we're on,

they do not use chemicals.

So it's to help protects

and know exactly where the lot is.

Alright, we're gonna pick some tea leaves here.

There's a certain way to harvest them.

You can see it's 1, 2, 3.

You can see that this field looks slightly different

This tea trees are about 40 years old.

You can tell they're organic by looking down here.

The products used look slightly different.

And some of the leaves here have some like bug bites in them.

That's how you can tell it's organic.

And actually I learned the word for rain today.

So this temple, Shou Tian Gong.

And I was told that it has over

or about 300 years of history.

So we're going to bless some of the tea.

Normal body temperature.

Okay. For an example,

for about one month,

the family will come here at least two times.

好 舉個例子

So it has to do with the lunar calender

在一個月的時間裡

with the first of the month and the 15th of the month.

這家人會來這裡至少兩次

But you know sometimes,

這與農曆日期有關

they could come here five times in a month

每逢初一十五都會過來

to have the tea blessed.

But also to wish for a good harvest.

Alright. Now we're heading back

to the main building.

And we're going to learn how to make the tea.

The family tradition here

茶廠

is to rinse your hands with tea.

Because they say it helps you

after being busy all day outside.

And has a really nice smell on your hands afterwards.

Kind of helps you relax.

And next step, we have tea-making from scratch.

用茶水洗手後 手會留下一股悠悠茶香

Normally, it's done with the assistance of machines

有助於使你放鬆心情

in modern times.

接下來則是從零開始學製茶

However, you can experience it

在現代 這通常都是機器的幫助下

and make tea by hand at CF Tea.

That's how you make the tea leaves by machine.

But when you want to experience actual tea making,

we're gonna do it by hands.

Wo-ow, it's actually quite hot.

不過 當你想體驗真正的製茶時

The tea leaves are slowly cooking from the middle.

那我們便要親手試一試

So like the outside here isn't hot.

這其實挺燙的

But the middle I can definitely feel the warmth.

茶葉正在鍋中間慢炒

And I can smell it already.

因此鍋外圍這裡並不燙

Even through the mask.

但我能感受到鍋中間傳來的熱度

The boss can use no gloves.

我已經聞到茶香了

But for me, I'm not an expert.

透過口罩撲鼻而來

-Is this Oolong tea? -Yup.

老闆能在不佩戴手套的情況下炒茶

It's Oolong Tea.

但我不是專業的

Actually CF Tea, this establishment

-這是烏龍茶嗎 -對

has won a lot of awards.

烏龍茶

Even from back, from the year I was born

其實這間家族營業的泉發茶莊

in 1989.

已經榮獲許多獎項

So, you roll the tea.

甚至從我出生的那年開始便獲獎無數

And then you take it apart.

就是1989年啦

And you have to do it again.

所以你要揉捻茶葉

Massage it, roll it around.

接著 把茶葉攤開打散散熱

And usually it's one hour intervals.

隨後再重複進行題同樣的步驟

So you do it 20 times,

擠壓搓揉

which means if one hour is in between.

通常間隔一個小時

It's a long time.

因此 你必須揉捻20次

I want to try.

So, I open it first, right?

You can see that this tea sticks together like this.

So, we're gonna try five different teas today.

-This is green tea. -Okay.

So, each tea has been fermented differently.

So, it goes from lighter to darkest.

And then the 40-year-old tea plants.

每款茶的發酵方式都不一樣

Ready? Okay.

我們從最淺色的開始品嚐至最深色的茶

Very smooth, very delicious.

最後再來品嚐近40年的老茶

It's more lighter in flavor.
