Today, we're going to discover ten fantastic ways to say somebody is happy without using the same old word, "Happy".

I mean, I like the word happy, but there are better ways to describe being happy.

我的意思是，我喜歡快樂這個詞，但有更好的方式形容開心的心情。

Alright, so, how do we first say that we are happy?

所以，第一個我們要怎麼形容快樂？

"Over the moon".

「欣喜若狂」。

If you are over the moon, then you are just really, really happy.

如果你欣喜若狂，就代表你真的很開心。

So, for example, I might use this if I say I've just got a new job.

舉例來說，我可能會在拿到一份新工作時使用這個用法。

I'm absolutely over the moon; I'm so happy.

我欣喜若狂，我很開心。

So, over the moon when you are extremely happy.

所以欣喜若狂表示你極度喜悅。

Number two, "pleased as punch".

第二個，「高興得不得了」。

Of course, you could just be pleased; you're very happy about something, you're pleased.

當然你可以只使用高興就好，表示你對某事很開心，你很高興。

Like you might be pleased with your exam results or you might be pleased with your child who's won a competition.

就像是你可能會對你的考試成績，或是你的小孩贏得比賽感到高興。

But you can extend it into this fun phrase, pleased as punch.

但你可以延伸使用這個有趣的片語，高興得不得了。

I'm as pleased as punch.

我高興得不得了。

"Tickled pink".

「眉開眼笑」。

Now tickled pink means that you are just extremely pleased about something; you've had some good news, and it's made you feel very, very happy so much so you have a big smile on your face like you've been tickled.

眉開眼笑的意思是你對某事感到非常高興。你得知一些好消息，這讓你感到非常快樂，快樂到讓你臉上揚起一個大笑容，就像是被搔癢一樣。

I'm tickled pink. I'm so happy.

我高興到眉開眼笑。我好高興。

You could use the phrase "on cloud nine".

If you're on cloud nine, you would be floating up very, very high.

如果你樂不可支，你會飄到很高的天空。

You would be blissfully calm and satisfied and content.

你會感受到無憂無慮的平靜、滿足和圓滿。

And, so, to be on cloud nine is just to be euphoric with happiness.

樂不可支表示開心到很興奮的程度。

Similar to on cloud nine, you might say, "I'm 'walking on air'."

跟樂不可支相似，你可能會說：「我感覺飄飄然的」。

Ah, I feel like I'm walking on air.

啊，我感覺飄飄然的。

She was so happy she was walking on air.

她快樂到整個人都飄飄然的。

It's when you feel so content and relieved that you feel light in your body.

And you're just, like, floating down the street; you're walking on air.

你就像漂浮在街上，感覺飄飄然的。

If you're really enjoying yourself, perhaps at work or at the funfair or at a party or dinner, then you could say that "I'm having a 'whale of a time'."

如果你真的很享受那段時間，也許是在工作上、嘉年華上、派對上或聚餐中，那你可以說：「我過得很愉快」。

I'm having a whale of a time.

我過得很愉快。

I guess that means that you're having a big, happy time because whales are big.

I don't know; I don't know the origin of that phrase.

Now if something has been irritating you or annoying you for a long time and finally, it's over.

Perhaps you've been struggling in a job, and finally, you get to leave that position and start a new role or a new job altogether, or maybe it's a person who's annoying you.

Then you could say, "I'm 'glad to see the back of' them or her or it."

那你就可以說：「我再也不用看到他們、她或它。」

I'm so glad to see the back of that job; I'm just relieved.

我再也不用見到這份工作，我解脫了。

So glad to see the back of her; she's really irritated me for a very long time and now she left. Woo-hoo!

我再也不用看到她，她已經讓我很煩躁很久了。現在她終於離開了，嗚呼！

So, "glad to see the back of".

「再也不用見到...」。

If you're wearing a big smile because you're very happy, then other people might say, "You look 'like the cat that got the cream'."

如果你臉上掛著大笑容代表你很快樂，其他人可能會說：「你看起來『一臉滿足』」。

You look like the cat that got the cream.

你看起來一臉滿足。

Obviously, a cat with cream is a very content and happy cat who will be purring away.

很顯然地，吃了奶油的貓會非常滿足，滿足的貓會發出呼嚕聲。

I can't purr, but you know what I mean; a cat with cream is very happy.

我不會發出呼嚕聲，但你知道我的意思。一臉滿足代表很快樂。

And, so, if you are happy, I might say you look like the cat that got the cream.

Just like with most of the other phrases, if you are really, really, really, really, really happy, then you can say, "I am on top of the world."

Just like you've conquered the world, you're stood on top of it, and you're shouting, "I'm on top of the world! Woo-hoo!"
