at the TED conference I spoke at four years ago

I mean, there is a major climate crisis, obviously,

and I think if people don't believe it, they should get out more.

But I believe there's a second climate crisis,

and that we have to deal with with the same urgency.

and you may say, by the way, "Look, I'm good.

But this is a crisis of, not natural resources --

as many speakers have said during the past few days,

Very many people go through their whole lives

having no real sense of what their talents may be,

who don't think they're really good at anything.

Actually, I kind of divide the world into two groups now.

其實我覺得全世界大概分為兩種人

Jeremy Bentham, the great utilitarian philosopher,

He said, "There are two types of people in this world:

他說：「全世界可分為兩種人」

those who divide the world into two types

They get no great pleasure from what they do.

and couldn't imagine doing anything else.

If you said to them, "Don't do this anymore," they'd wonder what you were talking about.

叫他們不要做，他們會一臉納悶

Because it isn't what they do, it's who they are. They say,

因為重點不是工作本身，而是天性如此

It would be foolish for me to abandon this, because

「因為這工作讓我找到真正的自己」

And human resources are like natural resources;

they're not just lying around on the surface.

You have to create the circumstances where they show themselves.

我們必須營造良好的環境，幫助他們發展

because that's simply improving a broken model.

and the word's been used many times during the course of the past few days --

that people don't find very easy, for the most part.

It means challenging what we take for granted,

創新是要去挑戰我們固有的思維

"Well, it can't be done any other way because that's the way it's done."
