  • I'm not driving.

  • I was hoping maybe you could drive.

  • Elmo?

  • Yes.

  • Drive?

  • Yes.

  • Mr. Taye, Elmo's only three-and-a-half-years-old.

  • Right, I know that.

  • Come on, help Elmo and Mr. Taye imagine a car.

  • OK.

  • Imagine, imagine, imagine.

  • Wow, that is some good imagining.

  • Yeah, come on, let's go for a drive.

  • Oh, right, good idea, Mr. Taye.

  • Let's imagine seatbelts.

  • OK.

  • Imagine, imagine, imagine.

  • OK, that's what I'm talking about.

  • Thank you.

  • All right, man.

  • You're pretty cool yourself.

  • My man.

  • Oh, hi.

  • Want to play an imagination game with Elmo?

  • Oh, yeah!

  • Let's imagine Elmo is different kinds of animals.

  • Ready?

  • Here Elmo goes.

  • Let's see, let's imagine.

  • Oh, Elmo is a kind of bird that swims and lives

  • where it's very, very cold.

  • Let's imagine Elmo is a penguin.

  • Yeah!

  • Look, see penguins have flippers, see that, not wings.

  • And Elmo penguin waddles like this,

  • waddle, waddle, waddle, waddle, waddle.

  • Elmo wants to imagine being another animal.

  • Let's imagine Elmo is a mouse.

  • Squeak, squeak, squeak, squeak.

  • [MEOWING]

  • Quick, quick, let's stop imagining.

  • Hello, kitty cat.

  • Oh, boy, that was a close one.

  • Elmo can't wait to ride his tricycle, Daddy.

  • Yes, I know, but I'm going to keep my eye on you,

  • you understand?

  • OK, Daddy.

  • Don't go too far.

  • Which way are you going to go?

  • [SINGING] Oh, well, Elmo knows the path to take,

  • winding all around the lake.

  • Yes, but helmets on for Elmo's sake.

  • Because Elmo's riding.

  • Plants and leaves and rocks and trees.

  • Barking dogs and buzzing bees.

  • Elmo loves exploring these when Elmo's riding.

  • Elmo's riding.

  • Riding in the park, riding in the--

  • Every turn's another world, when Elmo's riding.

  • Elmo's riding.

  • Riding in the park, riding in the park, riding in the--

  • Elmo's riding, riding in the park today.

  • Elmo!

  • If you hear a distant bell, that's

  • the way that you can tell.

  • Elmo's doing very well.

  • Elmo's smiling.

  • Wish the sun would never fade.

  • The friends we met and all the games you played.

  • Uh-huh.

  • Thank you, Daddy, 'cause you made Elmo's day in the park.

  • Oh, I didn't do anything.

  • Hi.

  • Who came here to play with Elmo.

  • That's right.

  • So what exactly are we playing, Elmo?

  • Oh, well, Whoopi, you have a choice.

  • Oh, good.

  • OK, the drums or the violin.

  • Oh, you mean that kind of playing?

  • Yeah.

  • Well, you know, Elmo, I've never really played

  • either one of those musical instruments before.

  • Oh, it's OK, Whoopi.

  • Really?

  • Yeah, the important thing here is to play.

  • Oh, I see.

  • OK, look, Whoopi.

  • See that?

  • Elmo will play the violin, and Whoopi--

  • here we go.

  • Whoopi will play the drum.

  • All right.

  • Elmo is imagining Elmo is a great tap dancer.

  • And now, ladies and gentlemen, one of the best tap

  • [CLAPPING]

  • [SINGING] First, your finger snap, and then your toes

  • start tapping.

  • Then your knees are slapping, let your hands start clapping,

  • anything can happen when you're happy tapping with Elmo.

  • Don't need a map to find the king of tap,

  • and the rarest tap, the one whose arms are flapping.

  • People, it's a snap, so try some happy tapping with Elmo.

  • Happy is such a neat emotion, it'll

  • give your feet a happy notion, if your toes get tired,

  • work in some lotion, and they'll feel swell, so come join Elmo.

  • You'll feel happy when you see me tapping, better make

  • it snappy, don't get caught napping.

  • Tell your mam and pappy that you're happy tapping with Elmo.

  • Happy tapping with Elmo.

  • Oh, thank you.

  • Here we go.

  • Old MacDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O.

  • And on that farm they had a piggy, E-I-E-I-O. With a oink,

  • Old MacDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O.

  • It looks like the animals really love their farm fiesta.

  • Oh, anytime cute little farm friends.

  • Now come on, let's bring it home.

  • E-I-E-I-O.

  • [CHEERING]

  • We're just doing some cool dance moves.

  • Well, I can see that.

  • You mind if I try one?

  • Oh, yeah, come on.

  • [MUSIC PLAYING]

  • [SINGING] Anything that you could think of is a dance move.

  • Like reading a book, or learning to cook.

  • You could play it out, or let it happen by chance.

  • Shake a leg, raise your arms, that's how you dance.

  • Dancing is easy, move your body to the beat.

  • Dancing is easy, raise your arms, and stomp your feet.

  • Dancing is easy, dancing is fun.

  • Yeah!

  • I get dressed every morning, and I make it a dance.

  • You shake your legs when you put on your pants.

  • Dancing is easy, dancing is fun.

  • That was cool, Abby.

  • Look at what Elmo does.

  • Elmo's dance is to fly, and zoom like a plane,

  • but somedays Elmo chugs along like a train.

  • Woot-woot!

  • Move your body to the beat and stomp your feet,

  • dancing is easy.

  • I said move your body to the beat, and stomp your feet,

  • Will you do it, please, please?

  • Go!

  • Yeah, so it starts like this, and then we

  • get a little foot work.

  • Yeah, yeah.

  • And then we end it off with a pose.

  • Yeah, baby.

  • I love it.

  • You know what I like?

  • I like my favorite move is going in for the hug.

  • Yeah!

  • I love that one, too.

  • [HORN BLOWING]

  • Wow, look at Ernie.

  • Do, do, do, boop, boo, boo.

  • Come on, help us look.

  • OK, I got it.

  • Let's look closely and keep a good pace

  • while we find something blue in outer space.

  • Zippity-zap!

  • Whoa, this picture is out of this world.

  • You get it?

  • Out of the world, out of this world.

  • That is good, Elmo.

  • Now remember, we're looking for three things

  • that are blue in outer space, like this, zippity-zap.

  • Whoa, Elmo's blue.

  • And that's the color we're looking for, blue.

  • Zippity-zap!

  • [SINGING] Blue is the color we're trying to see.

  • Look around, where could it be?

  • Do, da, do, da, doodley dee, come along and find it with me.

  • Do, da, do, da, doodley dee.

  • I spy with my little eye, something

  • spinning for me and you.

  • A little planet that's bright and blue.

  • One thing blue we did see, let's find two more to make it three,

  • so give it another try, and play I Spy.

  • Blue is the color we're trying to see.

  • Look around, where could it be.

  • Do, da, do, da, doodley dee, come along and find it with me,

  • do, da, do, da, doodley dee.

  • Elmo spies with his little eyes, someone walking on the moon.

  • A blue astronaut dancing to a space tune.

  • Sesame Street, we got the moon locked.

  • Two things blue we did see, let's find one more to make it

  • three.

  • So give it one last try, and play I Spy.

  • Blue is the color we're trying to see.

  • Look around, where could it be? do, da, do, da, doodley dee.

  • Yep, yep, yep.

  • I spy with my little eye, a spaceship soaring around

  • in flight, with a blue martian who yep yeps day and night.

  • Found blue things, one, two, and three, da, da, da, da, dooda

  • Oh, the AB-- Ms. Gina?

  • Yeah?

  • Elmo doesn't know the ABCs in Español.

  • Oh, that's OK, I'll teach you.

  • Really, you would?

  • Yes, I'll do it once, and then you'll do it with me.

  • That's a great idea.

  • OK, here we go.

  • Yeah.

  • You got that groove?

  • All right.

  • [SINGING] A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, Ñ, O, P,

  • Hi, Elmo's going to show all the ways

  • that Elmo is just the same as Miss Chicken here.

  • [CLUCKING]

  • Oh, and that's the first one, clucking.

  • [CLUCKING]

  • Well, Elmo talks, and chickens can't talk,

  • so that's different.

  • But Elmo can cluck just like a chicken.

  • Watch this, cluck, cluck, cluck, cluck, cluck, cluck, cluck,

  • cluck, cluck.

  • Elmo's the same, huh?

  • [CLUCKING]

  • Awe, good point.

  • Miss Chicken has wings, and Elmo has arms, which is different.

  • But Elmo can flap Elmo's arms like they were wings,

  • like this.

  • Flap, flap, flap, flap, flap, flap, how about that?

  • Just the same as a chicken, huh?

  • [CLUCKING]

  • Ah-ha, another thing that is the same.

  • Miss Chicken breathes and Elmo breathes too, like this.

  • [BREATHING] Boy, Miss Chicken didn't

  • know we're the same in so many ways, huh?

  • [CLUCKING]

  • [POPPING]

  • Well, Miss Chicken got Elmo with that one,

  • because Elmo can't lay an egg.

  • So that is really, really different.

  • But sometimes it's great to be the same,

  • and it's great to be different.

  • [CLUCKS]

  • So let's celebrate being both the same and different.

  • [CLUCKS]

  • OK, Miss Chicken, do you know the funky chicken?

  • [CLUCKS]

  • rappy, a hap, hap, hap, hap, hap, happy birthday.

  • [FIREWORKS]

  • [MUSIC PLAYING]

  • [SINGING] If Elmo had a dinosaur,

  • Elmo'd walk him every day, so he'd get dino exercise,

  • and lots and lots of dino play.

  • And Elmo'd give him dino food, lots of tasty leaves to chew.

  • Water, water, he could drink, he could drink a lake or two.

  • And Elmo'd give him bubble baths, to keep him dino clean.

  • [CLUCKING]

  • Elmo, those are chickens.

  • Chicken sailors.

  • And we'll sing, heave ho, heave ho.

  • [SINGING] Lift that anchor, here we go.

  • Heave ho, heave ho.

  • Heave ho, heave ho.

  • We're just four chickens in this show. heave ho, heave ho.

  • Let's add four more, that's apropos, heave ho, heave ho.

  • How many chickens on the deck?

  • Should we count them?

  • What the heck.

  • 1, 2, 3, 5, 5, 6, 7, 8.

  • What are we gonna make today?

  • A sock puppet.

  • Hooray!

  • Today, Elmo, Abby, and I are making sock puppets,

  • like this sock puppy.

  • Woof, woof.

  • Hi there, puppy.

  • Hello, doggy.

  • Hi, Elmo.

  • Yeah, and you can make one, too.

  • Follow along with us.

  • Let's get crafty.

  • To make a sock puppy, you'll need socks, felt, cardboard--

  • for cardboard, we're reusing an old cereal box--

  • googly eyes, a ruler, glue gun, scissors, and pompoms.

  • Step one, pick sock bodies for your puppies.

  • OK, Elmo wants Elmo's sock puppy body to be the color yellow.

  • All right.

  • And I want mine to have spots.

  • Nice.

  • All right, step two, we're going to give our puppies mouths.

  • Yeah, so they can say woof, woof.

  • And [HOWLS].

  • First thing we're going to do is we're

  • going to grab a roll of tape, and we're

  • going to draw a circle on our cardboard, which is actually

  • a cereal box.

  • Give it a try.

  • Nice work.

  • All right, now we're going to cut it.

  • Be sure to ask and adult to help you cut out the circles.

  • Will you help us cut out the circles?

  • Of course.

  • Please?

  • Of course, of course.

  • All right, so now we're going to snip snip around.

  • And then we're going to keep going.

  • And now we have a circle.

  • We fold the circle in half, just like this, fold.

  • So now we're going to line up our mouth, a little circle.

  • Straight line here, you see that straight line?

  • We're gonna line it up with the line over here,

  • the seam of the sock.

  • Then we'll put glue on the mouth.

  • And be sure to cover the whole circle with glue, OK?

  • Oh, remember to ask an adult to help you use the hot glue gun.

  • Because it gets hot, baby.

  • Press into the sock and smooth it out, just like that.

  • Now we just let it dry.

  • What should we do while we wait?

  • Let's dance!

  • [MUSIC PLAYING]

  • All right, so now that our sock puppies are dry,

  • we're going to turn the sock inside out.

  • Whoa!

  • Yeah, and watch, here we go.

  • And voila!

  • Look, there it is, there it is.

  • Look, it's a puppy mouth.

  • All right, it's time for step three, decorate our puppies.

  • What do we need to make our sock puppies look like puppies?

  • Oh, eyes.

  • Ears.

  • And a tongue.

  • And a [SNIFFS] nose.

  • Nose, right.

  • Yes.

  • All right, so I've gone ahead and cut out

  • some doggy tongues out of this pink felt. So here you go,

  • you can have one, I'll take one, and then you can have one.

  • Thank you.

  • I've also cut out some doggy ears

  • from all of these felt colors.

  • All right, so let's see, what colors do you

  • want for your ears?

  • Elmo would like purple, please.

  • OK, Elmo, you can have the purple.

  • I'll take the pink.

  • Abby, what do you want?

  • I think I would like an orange and a blue.

  • One orange, one blue.

  • One orange, one blue, I love it.

  • So what eyes do you want your puppy to have?

  • Elmo likes the pink ones.

  • Oh, those are good.

  • I like those big ones on the top part.

  • OK.

  • We'll use a glue gun to stick everything on.

  • [MUSIC PLAYING]

  • Ta-da!

  • we have suck puppies.

  • Elmo's puppy is called Jack.

  • Woof, woof.

  • Mine's name is Newhart.

  • Woof, woof.

  • Thanks for making sock puppies with me

  • and my little crafters over here.

  • We hope you had fun making a sock puppy.

  • [SINGING] We took things you can find on a shelf,

  • and made a craft that we did ourselves.

  • We did, did, did it ourselves.

  • We did, did, did it ourselves.

  • It was fun making something new with all of you.

  • Bye-bye.

  • Bye, adios!

  • Oh, hi.

  • Abby and Elmo are counting to two.

  • Yeah, that's right.

  • I have one, two pigtails.

  • Yeah, and Elmo has one, two eyes.

  • Oh, and I have one, two, hands.

  • And Elmo has one, two feet.

  • Oh, boy-- oh wait, Elmo.

  • What?

  • I don't think we have any more one, twos to count.

  • But isn't Abby forgetting something?

  • What?

  • Us.

  • Oh, that's right, one, two friends.

  • [SINGING] Two is my favorite number.

  • Two is neat.

  • It really is neat.

  • Two is being together, two is sweet.

  • Two is you and another someone having fun.

  • Two is simple, two is easy, all two is is one and one.

  • Two is our laughing and loving, two is right.

  • Two is somebody's arms just holding tight.

  • Two, you see, is better by far than one could ever

  • be, 'cause two is you and me.

  • Sing it again.

  • Hit it, Abby!

  • Two is you and another someone having fun.

  • Two is simple, two is easy, all two is is one and one.

  • Two is a laughing and loving, two is right.

  • Two is somebody's arms just holding tight.

  • Two, you see, is better by far than one could ever be.

  • 'Cause two is you and me.

  • That's two!

  • Come on, Abby, let's go.

  • That was fun.

  • And they lived happily ever after.

  • Oh, that was a nice story.

  • OK, Elmo, time to close your eyes and get to sleep.

  • Oh, Mr. Andrea Bocelli, does Elmo have to?

  • Elmo, we had a story, a song.

  • It's late and you must be sleepy.

  • [SINGING] Oh, Elmo isn't sleepy.

  • Elmo wants some water and another story.

  • Elmo's eyes are open wide awake and Elmo doesn't feel so snory.

  • Time to say goodnight.

  • Lie down, here is your bear, you have such a wonderful day.

  • Playing and counting to 20, singing songs,

  • and going to the park with your friends.

  • So now won't you give me a hug, it's time to say goodnight.

  • Elmo doesn't want to, Elmo isn't tired.

  • Elmo wants to stay up.

  • You don't have to worry, Elmo makes a promise, Elmo be OK up.

  • Time to say goodnight.

  • Relax, and close your eyes.

  • You need to get plenty of rest.

  • You've got a full day tomorrow, playing games, dancing

  • and saying the alphabet.

  • So now won't you give me a kiss.

  • It's time to say goodnight.

  • So goodnight.

  • Mr. Bocelli, please, Elmo's trying to sleep.

  • Sleep, sleep, sleep.

  • It's monster meditation with Elmo.

  • And me, Andy.

  • Baby David, Elmo has to go to sleep, but Elmo's not sleepy.

  • Elmo just wants to play.

  • What's that, Baby David?

  • You want to hear another bedtime story?

  • OK.

  • Once upon a time--

  • There was a monster who couldn't fall asleep.

  • Hello, Elmo.

  • It's Elmo's friend, Mr. Andy.

  • Hi, Mr. Andy.

  • Oh, say hi, Baby David.

  • Isn't it time for bed, Elmo?

  • Yeah, it's Elmo's bedtime.

  • But Elmo is having trouble falling asleep.

  • Elmo wants to play.

  • Yeah, sometimes it's hard to go to sleep when we still

  • want to play and have lots of energy in our bodies.

  • So how about we do a fun monster meditation, Elmo,

  • to calm down for bed?

  • A monster meditation?

  • It's an activity to help you get ready for bed.

  • Yeah.

  • You and Baby David can follow along, too.

  • So let's begin with some soothing belly breaths.

  • Take a slow deep breath in, and now slowly breathe out.

  • Very good.

  • Let's do that one more time together.

  • So slow deep breath in, and slowly breathe out.

  • Good work, Baby David.

  • Let's play good night body.

  • So we're going to start at our feet,

  • and say goodnight to each body part.

  • Elmo's going to say goodnight to his body?

  • That's right, and we're going to wiggle each part as we say

  • goodnight, and then relax it.

  • Want to try it together?

  • Yeah.

  • Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle.

  • Great wiggling, Elmo.

  • We'll do this throughout the whole body.

  • Here we go.

  • OK, goodnight feet.

  • Very good, now relax your feet.

  • And let's move to your legs.

  • Goodnight legs.

  • Now, relax your legs.

  • What body part comes next, Elmo?

  • Goodnight bottom.

  • Goodnight tummy.

  • Goodnight shoulders.

  • Goodnight arms.

  • Are you starting to feel relaxed?

  • Yeah.

  • Elmo feels really relaxed.

  • Goodnight hands.

  • You did it, Elmo.

  • Now, let's end with one more deep breath.

  • Slowly breathe in, and slowly breathe out.

  • Great work.

  • Are you feeling sleepy, Elmo?

  • Elmo?

  • Oh, goodnight, Elmo.

  • Sweet dreams.

  • And good night, Baby David.
