If you're from some parts of Asia, the chances are that you're probably familiar with guessing people's personality traits based on their blood types.

So today we're going to ask some western friends of ours, what they think of theses blood type based stereotypes, and also test for fun if the same stereotypes apply to foreigners as well.

Why do you think I'm asking you this question?

I also have no idea.

I asked my mom what my blood type was, and she didn't know, so she called the hospital that I was born at, and they didn't know.

OK.

So it's a big mystery in my life.

In Denmark, if you spoke to an average person on the street, Hey, by the way, what's your blood type?

How do you think they will respond?

I think they will be confused at first, and then they might think, are you some weird twilight freak?

Why do you need to know that?

The reason why I'm asking is in Korea, as well as some parts of Asia, people have certain personality stereotypes based on your blood type.

Really?

Yeah.

How many blood types do you think there are by the way?

Do you even know?

I've been to school, so I'm very embarrassed I don't know.

There's like A, B, O...

Yeah...

Let me actually give you some stereotypical personality traits for each blood type, and see if you can guess which one you might be.

OK.

Blood type A.

Positive traits are you're conservative, introverted, reserved, considerate, punctual, tend to be perfectionist.

Negative traits are you're obsessive, self conscious, stubborn, uptight, sensitive...

OK, so just based on that answer, you're probably A right?

Type B.

Individualistic, optimistic, independent, but you know, you tend to be a bit selfish, self centered, irresponsible.

But I should also mention that type B, so blood type B suggests that you're a player.

Are you blood type B?

No.

OK...

Blood type O.

Outgoing, energetic, self confident, ambitious, natural leader.

Dramatic, arrogant, insensitive, ruthless.

AB is rational, introverted, but your very ah...you're very rational, you're smart.

But you could also be indecisive, critical, untrustworthy and unpredictable.

That could fit with me, yes.

I thought that I would be between A or O, but I think I was leading more towards O.

So A, it says conservative, introverted, reserved.

I'm liberal, extroverted, not reserved.

Can you see this type of personality test taking off in America?

Probably not.

I mean just because we already have like horoscopes which a lot of people are really into.

Well, considering that we have the star signs and it's kind of the same thing.

Yeah.

I guess if it was introduced, maybe?

OK, as you just saw we're not even sure how accurate these stereotypes are.

And obviously not even all Koreans take them seriously.

But hey, at least this could be a fun conversation topic.
