You know we you get old in life,

things get taken from you.

and that's, that's part of life,

but...

you only learn that when you start losing stuff.

you find out life is a game of inches.

Its the guy who's willing to die

who's gonna win that inch.

He told the guy,

he said, when you want to succeed

as bad as you want to breathe,

then you'll be successful.

The only thing you're trying to do is get some air.

You don't care about no basketball game,

you don't care whats on T.V.

you don't care about nobody calling you.

you don't care about a party.

The only thing you car about

when your trying to breathe is to get some fresh air.

That's it.

and when you get to the point

when all you want to do is be successful

as bad as you want to breathe

then you'll be successful

Ya'll have known me for a while

for a long time now you've been hearing me

talk about being perfect.

Well I want you to understand something.

To me,

being perfect,

is not about that scoreboard out there,

it's not about winning,

it's about you,

and you relationship to yourself,

you family,

and your friends.

Being perfect,

is about being able to look your friend in the eye

and know,

that you didn't let them down,

because you told them the truth,

and that truth is that you did everything you could,

there wasn't one more thing you could have done.

Can you live in that moment?

as best you can,

with clear eyes,

and love in your heart.

with joy in your heart.
