Globalization is one of the biggest trends driving corporations to change their operating
models, according to a new study by Deloitte. In Human Capital Trends 2012, a report on changes
in corporate operations and human resources, the Big4 firm suggested that "many companies
around the world are moving to new global operating models" due both to "the rapid rise
of emerging and developing economies" and the urge to reduce costs. The convergence
of these two factors has resulted in companies looking increasingly towards global markets
for their staffing and human resources needs.
