hey everyone it's Jennifer from Tarle speech with your question of the week we
have a request today the words are cold a low temperature and code instructions
or regulations so let's go ahead and take a look at these words so in word
number one we're going to have four sounds and in word number two we're
going to have only three sounds let's start with word number two code okay so
just say this word we're going to start with the K sound to do this tip of the
tongue is low in the mouth back of the tongue is pulled up then we're going to
move to the O sound to do this your mouth moves from open to a pucker
oh oh oh then we're gonna end with the D by touching the tip of the tongue to the
back of the top front teeth and it pops down for d the sound code code code so
to say cold we already know how to say co what we're going to do then is we're
going to think about that L sound you're going to move from the Oh smoothly to
the L by touching the tip of your tongue to the back of your top front teeth Cole
think about holding that out an extra second while the air moves out of your
mouth Cole then pull the tongue down for the d for the D sound
cold cold cold so we have code and cold you can see the difference in my lips
that's one more thing to think about Co code and cold you can see my lips pull
back from the Oh to the L sound so code code code cold cold
cold code cold now let's give that a try in a sentence the detective cracked the
code on the cold case the detective cracked the code on the cold case give
it a try people are going to notice the difference if you found this helpful
