Hi.
Welcome.
Welcome to the Ellen DeGeneres Show, where our motto is Same pants, Different day.
I'm coming to you through Zoom.
It's a magic technique.
I don't know how it works.
All I know is that my Internet bill for May was $20,000.
What's happening?
I hope the cable company accepts checks from Shutterfly.
Happy June.
Can you believe it's June?
Can you believe that?
Everybody me talking to?
I can't believe it.
I can't believe I can't believe it Here in Los Angeles, that means if it's the beginning of June, it's June gloom.
That's when the sun is covered by fog all day long, which is different from the rest of the year when the sun is blocked by pollution, We've actually had a lot less pollution.
Now that people are staying home, it finds, Ah, you know, Here's what I think.
I think when when you look at what's happening, let's look at a silver lining for a quarantine, and being home gives me a chance to do lots of things that I don't usually get to do.
Like I I get to see the mailman delivering the mail every day, and, uh, it's nice.
I feel like I really I know him now.
Yesterday, he was dropping off a package and a said Richard, Hi and he said, My name's Brian Anyway, way have fun.
It's supposed to be safer to stay at home.
But in the last few weeks, the country has been opening back up in California.
They're doing it in three stages, and I think I remember the stages are in the beginning.
You can go out in small groups and then the next stage is kissing on the mouth.
And then the next one is touching over the shirt.
Am I thinking of the wrong stage?
Is that the whole different?
Okay, I'm thinking of something different.
If you're going outside, it's important to remember to stay safe.
Keep social distancing.
Wash your hands.
Most importantly, you're not supposed to touch your face.
Andy, how many times do you think you've touched your face during during this?
This time we've been doing the show.
I know, I know.
I talk to my face.
I'm aware that I don't know it when it's happening, But then when I watch back, I go.
Wow, Now one of the reasons that you just did it, you know, literally.
Just touch your face.
I was next to, you know, Say I want to hear it.
What's your There's one move.
I do.
Which is this a lot.
Uh, and that move is just to get the white off the nicotine la singers.
Sometimes it collects.
And glad tells me that Uh huh.
Yeah, I am.
I'll admit I have touched my face because I'm aware of it, and I try not to like, but if I have an itch or if I have to I'm aware when I do it thinking, Oh, I'm not supposed to touch my face.
And anyway, you have done it a lot.
And, ah, for some reason, um, are writers decided to show a montage of how many times you've touched your face.
It wasn't my idea that this was in one show.
This was last week.
Okay, let's take a look.
Um, I okay where I am.
Uh oh.
I don't need my mask.
Put up.
Well, that will protect you.
You're welcome.
Oh, my God.
Uh huh.
Oh, my God.
What happens now?
That sounded like a long piece of tape.
Right there.
It was.
It was long.
Sometimes it's better, longer.
That's what she said.
Come on towards.
I'll give it to you.
That's why I know I said, I don't think my mic was on.
I said it.
I barely catch those.
But I was.
I was ready.
Not good.
All right.
That's what she said.
Don't say.
That's what she said.
No longer is better.
Um, I'm gonna be showing that clip once a week for the rest of the season.
So is that okay?
No.
You know what?
I think they should put together how many times Because I have touched my face.
And now just thinking about it.
I want to teach my nose because that's the problem.
You start thinking about it.
You're in trouble.
Yeah.
