字幕列表 影片播放 列印英文字幕 Hey, the talk show is doing very well. Congratulations. It did OK. I'm excited. It was kind of funny because they-- this morning everybody told me like, oh, it did this many point or whatever. And I was like, uh-huh. Because I don't understand ratings and television world. So. You will. I know, but I never-- even in music I never-- my husband will tell you, he's my manager. I don't ever pay attention to charts, either. I'm just not really that-- I'm just going to do me and it'll work or it won't. Right. Well, that's the best thing to do. Because I also did not pay-- it first of course the first year I really wanted to do well, because I wanted to keep it going. After a while I was like, I know what I'm putting out there, I'm doing my best. And now 17 years in, I really want to keep topping myself. So ratings are important to me. They weren't, but now I want to-- Well I'm trying to be the best opener ever. Yeah. I'm trying. You're a great lead in. We are so very happy to have you as a lead in. I am-- I'm nervous to open for you. But it's fine. I appreciate you opening for me. It's going to be great. I'm not a comedian, when you watch my show. I'm not as funny. But you're so-- you're so real and down to earth and everything is just very natural for you, so I would think-- Thank you. And what is the question, because I know you have to do a lot of press. What's the question that you're getting asked the most? Oh, well, why do you have a talk show? No, not why do you have a talk show. No, it is. They're like, why do you have a talk show? Because everybody's like well, aren't you working on a record? And I'm like well, yeah. And they're like, aren't you doing The Voice? I'm like, well, yeah. And I'm also doing this. Because why not. I don't know. You got to matter till you don't, people. And I love talking, so. I do love talking, you know this. Is that why you wanted to do a talk show, because you love talking? No. Really I wanted to do the talk show. My husband ended up convincing me because I actually said no the first couple times. Because I was like, everybody's been drinking or getting high. This is a horrible idea. And then he convinced me because I really do love the fact that-- there's a lot of negativity going on right now. I don't love that. But there is a lot of negativity happening, a lot of division happening. And one of my big things even on tour is to like bring people together. Like my audience is filled with random people that would probably never be in the same place. And I want my show to be like that. And he kind of sold me on the fact of all the good we'd be able to do and inclusion and all of that. And so and I love that about you. So that's why I love that I'm on for you. It is a wonderful thing to do, yes. Put some positivity into the world. Yes. That's fantastic. A good focus. And I like-- and people get a little concert because you start the show singing. Yes, not my own songs, because that's fame. Right. Not really, I think people would love to sing along with you to your own songs, just like in concert. I'm sure they love that. We might randomly do that like at points or stuff, maybe on Christmas or something. But like I just feel like a tool being like, come on, guys, sing my hits with me. I'm not-- no. Not going to do that. But I love singing other-- you love musicians. You love music and so do I. How do you pick the song you're going to sing? Someone from the audience picks it, and I learn it real fast. Like I'm learning one backstage because I have a show after this. Wait, wait, wait, someone from the audience decides the song you're going to sing? Yeah. And we did-- we've been doing it on tour for like 15 years, and then we thought, well I thought, oh, this would be a great idea. Let's do it on the show. And it's a lot of work. But I love-- I genuinely love artists and I love music, I love celebrating art. And yeah, someone from the audience picks it and they have a reason why they picked it. And so it kind of connects the audience to me right off the bat, they're kind of a co-host. And so what happens if they pick something that is really difficult? Have you had a song that's hard to sing? Well, it's not necessarily that things are hard, it's just that they shouldn't happen. Like me covering Eminem was pretty much the [EXPLOSION SOUND EFFECT] Which Eminem song? But I-- challenge accepted. "Eight mile." You know, mom's spaghetti-- That's the one. Yeah. I know mom's spaghetti. It was so bad, but whatever. Challenge accepted. I'll sing anything. Literally we've done like country, like we'll do anything. Because the very first show, I surprised you and you were doing the Jonas Brothers song, I'm A Sucker For You. Yes, I love that song. And you did that very well. Yeah, I was excited to see when a fan picked that one, because I love that one. That's a good song. All right so anyway, so that's fine. You were surprising me. You were so nice. You came by. Here's the thing my audience freaked out to where I-- when she left I was like, come back. They were happier then. They were freaking out. You were so kind, and you brought me a beautiful painting that we are hanging in our studio. We had one wall. We had one wall for it, and that's where it. But is it on the set? Or-- No, it's on the set. Or backstage. We only had one empty wall. I'm telling you, seriously everything is filled with like guitars or whatever. All right. Yeah. And your face. I need to see it there every day. All right. With the pooch. Well I have something, before we go to break, I got you, because you're very, very busy. So let's go over here. OK. And I'll show you what I got you. OK. I'm going to follow you. It's a chair, because you're a talk show host, and and you're on The Voice. Your hands are cold, too. Yes, it's cold. Right, so what happens is when you push this, somebody backstage-- should do that. And then so that's The Voice. So we'll take it-- And then when you're in the studio, you can sing. I'm recording a record. And you record. So you can use this during the commercial break. Exactly. And do that. Kill three birds with one stone. Well, that's a horrible expression, but yes. Yes. I love birds. I'm just kidding. We have bird feeders at my house and everything. Alright, whatever. Hi, I'm Andy. Ellen asked me to remind you to subscribe to her channel so you can see more awesome videos, like videos of me getting scared or saying embarrassing things, like ball peen hammer.
