Doctor Stephen Strange, the soft taco to loop a crunch wrap sorcerer Supreme.
He's bought zombies, save the planet and even performed surgery on the cosmic entity eternity.
This master of the mystic arts turned Avenger set aside his old money grubbing days to protect Earth and all who inhabit it.
Except for that time, he could have cured all diseases and decided not to.
I'm Jocelyn Sorceress and in turn, and I do all the research nobody else wants to straight from the desk of Battle.
So the doc has done some forgive me strange things, but nothing in his canon is as weird as his relationship with long his man servant.
Now the further back in comics he ago, the more you stumble onto some shitty behaviour from your favorite heroes.
But even in a comic run as recent as 7 2001 is referred to as Slave Boy and even refers to his own job as servitude.
But despite all of these uncomfortable examples, Doctor Strange has continually cared for Wong and even once chose to save his life over the lives of billions.
In a limited series called The Oath, Doctor Strange walks into the library as long slaves away doing his slave thing.
But instead of having long do is laundry or scrub cauldron, Strange asks about Wong's bottle of meds used to treat brain tumors.
Turns out one's brain is busted, and he's been hiding his sickness from the dock.
Strange gets a little teary eyed of the idea that someone would have to come to replace Wong as his manservant if he died.
So the doc vows to save one.
Which, by the way, he does right after hurling the bottle of meds onto the ground.
Yeah, I mean, come on, one's the one who's gotta clean that up, right?
Come on, dude.
Anyway, so the to track down this magical potion that strange things is the cure for cancer.
Turns out it's actually the cure for every single disease known to man.
But so naturally, everyone and their evil mom wants their hands on this thing, including a guy named Nicodemus West who get this is the very same doctor that failed to save strangers hands.
Oh, and what in West do?
After that?
He went on to study the mystic arts.
To these two are two peas in a pod or to rabbits and a head with a bat and a 64 impala You anyway, West wants to destroy the potion to both prevent overpopulation and to make sure there's enough sick people on Earth to keep his job.
Jeez, if you ask me that West families are real piece of work.
So West employs a freelance thief to steal the potion.
But things go south when he's discovered.
And I shit you not.
This dude whips out the gun that Hitler killed himself with.
Pops off around into Doctor Strange and swipes the potion.
A.
Apparently this pistol has enough negative mojo inside it.
Penetrate doctor, strangest defenses.
There's not a ton of explanation beyond that.
We're just supposed to accept magic Nazi gun and move on.
But if you really think about it, this gun killed Hitler like, why does it have negative Moto?
Should this thing be glowing with the collective thanks of humanity like, Hey, gun.
Thanks for killing the most evil is the guy ever.
Anyway, In order to save his life, Long takes strange toe.
Lynda Carter, the night nurse, not the lady who played Wonder Woman After a quick operation.
It's back to recovering the super juice but cancers a bitch and right as they tracked down the potion, which is now in Nicodemus West, hands long starts getting really sick and ends up passing out.
At one point, they mentioned that Wong is too weak to survive a trip to the hospital G.
If only there were some mystical mobile hospital specifically designed to keep people alive while being transported.
Or I don't know if you could tell a port.
Oh so Doctor Strange and Nicodemus throw down on a rooftop until wouldn't you know it?
The potion is spilled gas.
There's only one drop left because, of course there is.
And Strange has to decide to either use the drop to replicate the potion and cure all of humanity of literally everything.
Door save his manservant, who, by the way, had a replacement already lined up.
As you might expect, Strange honors his Hippocratic oath and decides to set aside his own.
No, no, no, he doesn't.
He saves his manservant and screws humanity.
So the doc and Long live on to reinforce stereotypes another day.
But it turns out, strange really does care for Wong, though he might want to consider treating him like more of a sidekick, so people don't call him things like Slave boy.
Just a thought.
Fun fact Strange.
Also used the Hitler gun after his magic failed to take down a demon beast that burned down the night nurses Hospice.
Strange pulls out the gun which no one knew he had and shoots the demon with a single shot.
He vows this is the last time he uses a gun and then turns it into fireflies.
