  • you do prepared to this Ryan Daniel Montgomery.

  • But though they don't know that the name let me just tell you something This gentleman has had six collaboration album.

  • Seven solo seven studio albums.

  • 11 mixtapes.

  • 30 singles.

  • You've been doing this system mid nineties.

  • Welcome, Royce.

  • The No.

  • A my brothers.

  • That's more.

  • That's more preparation.

  • You don't think that's the most stats you got over that?

  • But a sports show was really impressive.

  • Is impressive.

  • Man.

  • You got a new project out right now called the allegory.

  • Yes, Yes.

  • Congratulations.

  • When you were here before, I was biting my fingernails because I couldn't talk about it.

  • Now it is out.

  • Congratulations daily.

  • Wouldn't even send me the link.

  • Was afraid and worried about getting leaked, even even send me later.

  • No.

  • Seven.

  • Lee, I'm not.

  • What's gonna happen is like, Listen, if something happens, I don't want todo responsible for it.

  • So it's out now.

  • Congratulations with me back then, Light.

  • It's been so far, so good.

  • So actually not overwhelming, but just just I think everybody was ready for this type of album.

  • I think that the timing was good.

  • Um and you know, it's just time that it's time to start providing information.

  • It's time to start providing that balance, saying it's there's age appropriate album.

  • I think people are ready for that.

  • Yeah, things going good.

  • So I follow you closely because we're family.

  • And I seen you on the L A leakers saying your funk flex and you drop the little something I think one over people's heads with my guy Primo on the ones and twos.

  • Did I hear you say that there was a prime album coming March?

  • Not not.

  • Not not not March way have been talking to me and I remember talking.

  • We have been talking.

  • We both decided that we're gonna keep doing it as long as people want to hear people want to hear Yes, thank you.

  • Well, one thing that you did on this album is you did the majority of the production, if not all the production.

  • That's real work, Royce.

  • And that's real words like, that's a lot of hours and just time it's What was it like doing all the production?

  • I mean, it was great.

  • It was great.

  • If I'm still learning, you know, im a work in progress when it comes to that.

  • But I'm one of those guys who love to practice a lot of practice.

  • I love putting into 60,000 hours, you know?

  • I mean, I feel like it's just it's the only way to become great at something.

  • Nobody's born great.

  • You know?

  • We're born with the music inclination, and we got to take that and we've got to turn it into something.

  • So I'm just steady practice.

  • A lot of times when people get a platform, it becomes about meat and how I could shine.

  • But for you it was important to try to give back to the next generation via this album.

  • Y saw always, man.

  • I mean, I feel like I'm not supposed to be here, you know, like because of what I've been doing, life, the things that I've been through, I feel like is ordained by the universe for me to be here.

  • And I just feel like I got to do my part.

  • And I feel like every Ogi has obligation to the next generation, you know, we got to provide that information.

  • We can't just abandon them, you know?

  • I mean, like, it's bad enough, you know, we coming into the into the music business with little to no information.

  • So who better to provide that information to name them, somebody who's been through everything they've been through and made pretty much every mistake that they're going to make to take a stand make?

  • And Can you give him a snapshot about how the Mr Grace skits play out on your album?

  • Teoh go for the toward what you're saying.

  • It's just it's just he's a very, very smart guy.

  • He's a smart guy, and he's basically teaching his Children the essentials.

  • What he feels is already essentials.

  • Teoh just survive and to be able to thrive in America.

  • And he's basically indoctrinated and with information.

  • And they saw a stupid detail and they just repeating things back to him.

  • It's like he's quiz in a missile.

  • Amazing thing to listen to.

  • So I just took it, put music to it and built songs around it, you know, to kind of think about out.

  • Am I really good?

  • So something has been happening recently in sports Is mental health is becoming something that people really speak about much more open about in therapy and things like that, and you've mentioned before that something important you're talking about helping the next generation.

  • Why do you think that's important for people to be open and speak about mental health?

  • Well, especially in the black community.

  • It's like we have, like a like a picture in our mind or what we think therapy is.

  • And it's an accurate picture.

  • You know, therapy is actually something that can help anybody.

  • It could help anybody, not just addicts.

  • Anybody, You know what I mean?

  • What, What?

  • What could be better than knowledge itself?

  • Learning more about yourself Because you learn about yourself, you can improve upon yourself.

  • A zit pertains to the music industry.

  • If you can approve upon yourself automatically, the music, it's better, you know, absolutely.

  • And being Detroit natives, I got to ask you about one of our hometown team.

  • The Lions have won one playoff game.

  • Oh, in 60 years.

  • We have the number three pick this year in the opportunity to draft a guy that's going to be a superstar in the NFL.

  • Named to a Tonga via lower from Alabam.

  • Okay, are you excited about the potential of the Lions drafting this superstar quarterback or are we gonna be the Lions and find a way to screw this up.

  • I'm excited about the opportunity, and I'm going to stay up.

  • As optimistic is Booth Glasses have asked about being landscape Because I was a child.

  • I have so many memories of my team's winning and being excited like, Do you have, like, good memories of being a Lions fan?

  • We riders no, don't collect If they ever try great Billy Sales.

  • Sam's Well, I would ask you about another Detroit team and more about the city is What does it mean for the city of Detroit to have the Pistons move downtown and played downtown?

  • Well, I went to a game this year, only made one game this year.

  • I went to one, and I can tell you it was way better driving there.

  • I because I was already running lodge, So it's like it's right there.

  • Amazing, Amazing.

  • It blesses a beautiful new arena to I had never been in there either.

  • So, and bring some money back in the downtown, a building amazing practice facility as well.

  • Now we just got to get the team back.

  • Plan playoff type basketball now in the athletic space.

  • Damian Lillard.

  • He spits bar.

  • She does him a shack.

  • We're going back and forth dueling one another would do.

  • Do a song with Dame Dollop, Of course.

  • Why not?

  • We're trying to make this happen.

  • We trying to make this try to make this happen.

  • We're gonna try to link it.

  • We'll try a little bit shy.

  • Link you guys to make this happen because he's got bars.

  • He's legit.

  • Rap go.

  • Well, we do know Detroit in Oakland.

  • Got a kinship?

  • I'm glad you know that.

  • You talk about people.

  • Yeah, the same people?

  • Yes, he talks about it all the time.
