Yeah, I need to go to hospital after this, guys... Okay, I need to see my psychiatrist.. 'Cause of the way i look right now...
Haha, yeah... HELLO, I'm back!..
Oh, sorry... Dammit! I was gonna cheat!
She's so cruel...
Hello, everyone! Welcome to Tokyo Creative Play. My name is Emma, and I'm your host, and today
I'm here with Kim Dao. Kim is an Australian...
blooty
vlogger (BLOOTY VLOGGAH)
Kim is an Australian beauty vlogger, but right now you wouldn't maybe be able to tell that because I...
I... Did her makeup *Laughs*
Emma did my makeup... I think it's lovely
You can see it in another video..
If you want to check out that video link will be....
Where ever it is...?
So Kim used to live in Japan. How long did you live in Japan?
About a year and a half..?
A year and a half?... Okay cool.
I've lived in Japan now for about two years
So, today, we're gonna be doing some quizzes, but people who live in Japan should know the answers to. The emphasis is on 'should'. Oh...
I think she needs like a border here.. 'cause you can't look at me. I can't
It's just so... The lips are so much honestly...
The lips..? Yeah.
So today, we're gonna be doing those quizzes, and you guys can follow along and see if you know any of the answers with us
We're a bit worried about it. All right. Let's do this Chris. You bring us the boards... Alright guys so the first question is
Why is Japan called 日本 (nihon) or nipon in Japanese?
So what do we do? Do we write the kanji?...
Oh... Just write your answer.
Okay please don't show your answer until.... Oh, sorry
Dammit! I was gonna cheat! She's so correct...
I'm gonna have to draw... A sun..
Heyy...
A river... A sea here...
I'm such an artist.
And then we need some land...
Lets see.. Um...
Japan is the ocean...
That's here, then you've got some shells here... Let's See.. How do you draw a shell?... Okay
Okay... Please show the answers
So that's not what Kim said... She's already sure.
Well nipon (日本) because it's happy... And... This is land here (the rising sun) - The sun's rising
Land of the rising sun...
There's lots of silent books
So the kanji can be Sun and and books... So?
Yeah, probably something to do with the Land of the Rising Sun.
But, I don't know what rising sun is...
So the answer is yes.. It is...
The land of the Rising Sun... What does nipon mean?
Land of the Rising Sun.... Ah okay.
All right ladies question 2 - oh boy... If turkeys are eaten worldwide during Christmas, what is eaten in Japan?
festivity
chicken
Oh man....
I might not have known the answer!
I'm sorry.... Are we drawing?... You can do whatever you want man... Okay.
I was gonna draw the colonel (sanders)... But he's too difficult
He's so cute... Thank you... I love that!
KFC chicken... Or, it doesn't have to be KFC, a lot of like convenience stores sell chicken as well.
but basically fried chicken
KIM'S FRIED CHICKEN
Yummy..
This is a follow up question - Do you know why?
marketing..! Oh yeah
Smart marketing you should pay that person yeah. Okay, ready?
Number three - Yeah.
The first karaoke style machine was created in Japan
Okay....
What does karaoke mean?
Wait you already wrote something... It's something I made up on the spot so.... *Mumbles* This doesn't make sense
KARA IS OKE
Like you know the song?
(KARA - ミスター)
It's too early in the morning for me guys there for me to do this, but it's okay.
I did 'kara', as in the Japanese, like 'kara', here to there like 'kara' - from... Does that make sense.. Oh?
Yeah, like so you go from being okay to like good so 'kara' (from) Okay to like Good... So kara-oke... Good made (Until)
I don't know ahaha...
I think at this point, we're just making up stuff...
So, the answer is actually pretty interesting.
'kara' means empty
And, 'oke' is a shortened term for Orchestra
So it can be translated to: empty orchestra
Okay
That's the reason why it's called 'karaoke'
Question number 4 -
What is Japan's national sport?
Is it karate, judo...
Baseball or sumo?
*Laughs*
Okay... Sumo
She says 'sumo'... And uh, hi person.
With skinny arms... Hahaha
I think it goes like.. Between the legs
I put baseball, because I feel like everyone gets so excited about it here. It has to mean something big
Also, I think that I think that's a tennis ball...
I drew
The most popular sport in japan is baseball
Yeah.. But not the National sport, okay, but what's the national sport?
The national sport is actually sumo!
So well done Kim!
My my guy...
I I didn't even know
Yeah
I'm not even speaking English at this point... So the last question is a supposedly not so easy question as well
Okay....
And because Wenbim has a special connection with this question, he will be asking it.
Okay, okay.. Wenbim!
Okay,
(5) What does pikachu actually mean?
I tried to draw pikachu.. But i can't think of what he looks like!
Oh no!!
He's so hairy!
Okay, I don't know what 'pika pika' is in onomatopoeia in Japanese, but I'm like is it like shiny
And then Chu is like a 'Chu~' like a kiss, so its like a shiny kiss.
And, then i drew...
The best pikachu...
It's so scary...
It's so fat...
What did Ash do to him?!?
Um... I just drew different pikachu... Just pikachu.
So the answer, is pika or 'pika pika' - it is a word that is describes the spark that an electrical spark makes
and Chu is the sound that a mouse makes
electric mouse
NOT a shiny kiss
I was like - this is kinda weird...
So now we are wiser, we know more about Japan
Electric mouse...
Did we get anything right?
KFC! We got KFC right.
One question - I got two questions... So you win!
Anyway that was fun. Thanks for watching guys. Hopefully you can follow on and hopefully you knew more answers than we did...
Cause we didn't know anything....
Yeah, thanks for coming. Thank you. Thank you for having me and doing my makeup...
beautiful...
And yeah We'll see you guys in the next video. Bye!!
