And I also have a YouTube channel called "Cooking with Tee" where I demonstrate food demos for you guys and things like that. But today, (claps) I'm gonna be reviewing TikTok food hacks that I think are pretty interesting. There's gonna be five of them today. First TikTok food hack is gonna be how to chop an onion. Obviously in the TikTac they're playing "Cut It" by O.T. Genasis. I think it's perfect. (claps) (ominous music) Go through the editor, play the song when I'm doin' it. The video, (upbeat music) the onion was being sliced vertically and then horizontally and then turned over again and sliced down this way to get some perfect small diced cuts. I think that this hack looks cool and I'm really excited to try it. So (claps) I'm gonna do that right now. I'm gonna show you guys a safer way to do it just because I don't want you guys to try the TikTok hack and actually cut your fingers off. I'm gonna cut it in half, slice down this way, and then I'm going to, (chopping) and then slice down like this. And then you guys have your awesome, beautiful, small diced onion. That's like the basic standard way to cut an onion. That's how I learned to cut an onion. Hopefully everybody cuts an onion that way. If not, I advise you guys to all cut onions that way. Make sure you cut the onion in half. I don't want any mess on my hands. I couldn't live with it. Make sure you guys practice these techniques safely. (clicking) (jingle, jingle) (chime, chime) The second TikTok hack I'm very excited about because I love quesedillas. (salsa music) I make quesedillas all the time. It's very interesting because there's no fat involved. No oil, no butter, no pan. We're gonna do it in the toaster. Let's try this out. So this quesadilla hack is gonna be interesting because it is done in a toaster which is really, really cool. I like the fact that it doesn't really ask for too much oil. So I'm just gonna take the tortilla, add a little bit of cheese in the middle, and then I'm gonna fold it over like this, and then once over like this. So it's like, in quarters. And then I'm going to pop it in the toaster. Oh this is too much cheese in there. (laughs) (beep) Oh, ew, my toaster is kinda dirty. (beep) Okay, so, O-M-G. Let's see. (beep) Okay. As you can see it's like toasted. And the cheese on the inside is melted. That's interesting. Cool hack. I think that this way to do it, it's a little bit hard because, you know, when we folded the tortilla all the cheese kinda like stays in one place versus it being all around when you do it in the pan because you know, it's nice and flat, you can be safe about it, the cheese is like all around there. But hey, I mean, I think you guys should try it out yourselves first. I think it's interesting to do. I mean, it was a fun way to do it. But, I think I'm gonna continue to make my quesadillas how I make my quesadillas. (clicking) (jingle, jingle) (chime, chime) Third TikTok food hack. (upbeat music) How to make cheese. He is pretty much making ricotta cheese, which is just pretty much milk and some kind of acid like lemon or vinegar. I normally use lemon juice but today I'm gonna be using vinegar just how he did it in the video. I am also gonna be adding some salt and pepper to my ricotta because I like things seasoned and great. Gallon of milk into a pot. Vinegar. Some salt. And then we're gonna let this boil. And then we're gonna strain it. It's now starting to separate. See how on the bottom, this is gonna become the cheese right here. And all that liquid is gonna become what we call whey. Earlier when I showed you guys the liquid, the whey, it was white still. Now it's clear. That's pretty much when you know the cheese is done. So, I'm going to pour it. Shake it just a little bit more. Now I'm transferring it over into a bowl. There you have it. I definitely approve of making ricotta cheese at home. Don't think it's a hack. A hack is something to do to make things easier and life easier. Ricotta takes some time to make. And I think it's a great way to make cheese and I think it's a great way to use your time. (clicking) (jingle, jingle, jingle) (chime, chime) Hack number four. The egg sandwich hack. Okay so this looks cool because I like making egg sandwiches. And I really like the way he looked really satisfied and happy at the end of the video. So, I wanna be like him and I wanna eat an egg sandwich. And I wanna be happy like him. So, let's try it out. So here I have a pan, medium heat right now. Little bit of butter. Two eggs that have been seasoned with salt and pepper. Plain and simple white bread. Flip it over like this. And again on this side. Like that. Wait, now I'm confused. (ominous music) Oops, TikTok hack fail! (laughs) Naw. (thud) (beep) I upgraded from this spatula to this spatula. Pretty much just how I showed you guys before. I heated up the pan, added some butter, added the eggs, flipped the bread, and get under the bread with the spatula, and then flip this like that. (chiming) And then fold over the egg on the side so it's all inside the piece of bread. Flip it over like this. One more time like this. That's the second attempt and that's the TikTok egg sandwich hack. That's delicious. I had some failed attempts on my egg sandwich but in the end I did very well actually. And I think it's a great hack because if you're really busy or you just wanna make a quick snack, quick breakfast on the go, lunch on the go, whatever it may be, I think this is a great hack. I would definitely try this if I were you. (clicking) (jingle, jingle, jingle, jingle, jingle) (chime, chime) And now we come to our fifth TikTok hack. In the video (upbeat music) she pretty much had the piece of stale bread, soaked it in water, wrapped it in foil, popped it in the oven. That pretty much creates steam, which is obviously a great way to revive the stale bread cause there's a lot of moisture. So, I'm excited to try this out. Stale piece of baguette we have here. I'm going to completely soak this in water in the sink. (splashing) This piece of bread is completely soaked. Then I'm going to wrap it in foil and I'm gonna place it in the oven at 300 degrees for about 12 minutes. (sirens) Oh snap. (orchestra music) It's not longer stale and it's steamin'. I don't know if you can get that action right there but it's steaming, as you can see. I love this hack. 10 out of 10 recommend this. (clicking) (jingle, jingle, jingle, jingle, jingle) (jingle, jingle, jingle, jingle, jingle) (chime, chime) (upbeat music) All right guys, so I definitely enjoyed doing the Tiktok food hacks. Would definitely recommend doing them at home. If you guys have any more TikTok food hacks you guys would like me to review send them my way. Until then, peace out. (music fades)
