We haven't had a chance to talk about 4minute in a long time

And I'm happy we finally got the chance to do so

So, in order to celebrate we're going to be giving away a 4minute CD at the end of this Music Monday

As for the song itself, it's not our favorite 4minute song ever.

I like WASH YO NAY (What's your name) a lot more.

As we did with "Volume Up" as well.

But it's still a pretty decent song which is really light-hearted and perfectly in time for the Summer season.

However we both agree that we like this song a lot more than the actual video

Which really seems to mismatch the lightness of the song.

Ok, so when I first heard this song, I heard it without even seeing the video.

and i pictured this kind of Sistar "Loving you" kind of beach party with 4minute grilling food

and playing games. And amongst all the merrymaking one of the members is trying to get a hold of her boyfriend secretly

And she's looking really disappointed that he never picks up

And then she's trying to be happy and have fun with her friends

I feel like that's a way better match to both the sound and lyrics of the song.

Instead we get a female version of MBLAQ's "Smoky girl"

Go to a club, dance at the beginning, then something drop on the ground,sprinkler system goes off and people dance happily despite the OBVIOUS DANGER.

It's almost the exact same video except for the ridiculous scene

In which I'm not sure if fire safety drills are taught here in Korea or not

But for us we were taught to Stop, Drop and Roll, not to Stop, Point and Gawk.

Oh my God, pretty fire~

If I see that the God damn roof is on fire while I'm at a club, I'm not going to point with my mouth hanging open

I'm going to be more like...

I think it's a really pretty side effect

But that could just be me.

Maybe in Korea you simply point at fire so that the sprinkler system knows where to sprinkle.

Speaking of future technology, I'll tell you another piece of technology that's confusing.

It's called a telephone.

Which was only recently invented over a hundred years ago.

And its usage seems to baffle 4minute

What does it mean? Is it a secret code?

I had no choice but to call it and this is what I got.

*sigh* Yoboseyo? [The number that you've dialed is not in service] Yoboseyo?

And for starters, I don't know any man in Korea that would avoid Hyuna's call.

She is the most desired girl in Kpop right now.

Every Korean guy. EVERYONE that I spoke with says that she the hottest thing ever.

And I'm sure that is she called Any of them at Any time of day, they would be all like...

[TaeMAN ringtone. *giggle*] OH MY GOD MY PHONE IS RINGING.... Hey, hey, Hyuna?

Ain't no one not picking up the phone for Hyuna.

But that's not the point.

The point is the lyrics of the song make them seem all sad and needy

But the video makes them look like they're having lots of fun

The lyrics should be like: Your boyfriend is avoiding you? Then he's a dick and you should break up with him.

Go out and have fun with your friends instead.

And don't forget to pack your best aegyo moves

I see the new Kpop dance trend is butt rubbing.

Butt rubbing and butt shaking and butt showing.

We've got Girls Day, 2PM and now 4minute making their butts the prime focus.

But I feel like I've somehow seen this dance somewhere before. Hm...

It would be fine for just Hyuna's part. In which she had just one word of English

But the beginning of the song is Such a garble mess of mumble crossing that I'm tempted to give this a 0.

After their "A A A AAA" they say...

Get yo big girl show right now.

Some people say it's "get your big girl Swag right now"

But there's NO freakin way that's possible.

It's barely comprehensible.

In fact, it's so bad that... Well usually when we don't know what the English is for a song

We kind of cheat by watching the live shows and reading the subtitles.

But at that part of the song the English is so nonsensical that even the subtitler gave up.

When he listened to that part of the song he was like:

ugh... gh....ugh... Ah, fuck it!

And wrote nothing.

4minute. 2 out of 5

And that's being generous.

Last week we put MBLAQ vs 2PM in a show down for the crappiest back-up dancers at a club.

And you preferred the dancers in "Smoky girl"

Who, unlike the dancers in "Hands Up" did not look like they hated their lives.
