  • SO THE CLASS I CREATED IS CALLED FROM SCRIPT TO SCREEN.

  • I REMEMBER AFTER BEING AN ACTOR IN THE INDUSTRY FOR 15 YEARS, I

  • SAID, WOW, THE FINAL PICTURE YOU SEE IS SO DIFFERENT THAN THE

  • ORIGINAL SCRIPT YOU READ NINE, TEN MONTHS AGO.

  • IT GOES THROUGH SO MANY CHANGES ALONG THE WAY, SO I WANTED TO

  • CREATE A CLASS THAT TOOK STUDENTS THROUGH THE BEGINNING,

  • THE FIRST SCRIPT, THE INITIAL SCRIPT THROUGH THE FINAL PRODUCT

  • THAT YOU SEE ON SCREEN, AND THE CLASS IS ABOUT THE CHANGES

  • CHRONOLOGICALLY THAT THAT SCRIPT GOES THROUGH BEFORE IT GETS TO

  • SCREEN AND HOW DIFFERENT IT IS FROM THE ORIGINAL SCRIPT.

  • SO, AGAIN, YOU PUT THE SCIENCE BEHIND THE MAGIC OF MOVIEMAKING,

  • YOU LET STUDENTS UNDERSTAND THAT, HEY, THERE'S MANY WAYS TO

  • SKIN A CAT.

  • YOU LET STUDENTS UNDERSTAND THAT, ETCH THOUGH THIS INITIAL

  • SCRIPT IS EXACTLY WHAT I MAY THINK I WANT, YOU HAVE TO BE

  • OPEN TO INSPIRATION ALONG THE WAY, OPEN TO CREATING ALONG THE
